Finally a decent whisperknife ! now all that remains is to see if that is the way they intended it to be or will they nerf it! i'm hoping it doesn't get nerfed ! and if they do nerf it they better nerf wizards too ! fair is fair no ? thoughts below
Think they already have a wizard nerf on the way. Heard they're nerfing directed flames and hex interaction with certain attacks like singularity. I play every class and wizard just feels really cheesy imo, but whisperkinfe does feel a little op at least in aoe. Having a ton of fun playing rogue though, still not great at it and not seeing the dmg from shadowy opportunity others are but my shadow of demise dmg is solid and very competitive. I don't think assassin paragon is completely useless either, since there really hasn't been much testing on it, but even if it was it really shouldn't be that bothersome since other classes like hr only have 1 competitive paragon. Thanks for the video though, hope to see you tearing it up in some content soon.
@@user-kv1ih9lf5e yeah theres more wrong with wizard then that, but its a start. i rather they releases class fixes thata actually worked instead of having to put bandaids on every few weeks 20 times ina row.

i havent played a rogue in so long i dont know what path I chose. I know it was an old build with deflection being the big stat that was maxed out
Stopped playing now for over a year, and finally they make wn good again well there was that moment during new sharandar raid wn became very usable again but unfortunately the new mods havent made me want to come back to the game even tho i enjoy the combat im sick of the constant changes, plus i got sick of running the same damn raid etc 50/60+ times to never get the drop ie things like (the red eyes glare) that really ticked me off
Just as something works cryptic change it and tbh i cant be bothered with nw anymore, always good to watch your vids to see the state the game's in but atm im still not sure now is the time to come back.

Loving it. I started playing WK back in 2020, its my only toon (literally i have no others).
I found assassin incredibly boring and everyone just copied and pasted the assassin build and that's not how i play games. I stuck with the meme path, mastered it. Now its truly paying off!.
Only annoying thing is now everyone is copying and pasting it🤦. Reminds me of netdeckers from Hearthstone 🤡. Hoping they do something to make it harder to play the path so the bandwagoners clone meme players move back too wizard or assassin😂.
There is no avoiding copy pasting builds, it is inevitable regardless of class! people figure out the best set up and everyone uses it, it's normal in games
Personally, even though I've mained Wizard ever since I've started playing this game....I hated the fact that practically everyone flocked to Wizard after the buffs. Shouldn't you play a class because you like it's playstyle...but of course a perfect world doesn't exist does it?
Then there's class balancing....to be honest I don't think Cryptic has any excuse for the constant instances of classes overpreforming. This game has been out for 10 years now. You know what other mmo has been out for 10 years....Final Fantasy 14, and that game has a serious handle on balance between classes, Cryptic has no excuse.

I started as WK and switched to Assasin about 5 years ago. I like the WK changes, but wish they would have left assassin alone. My rotations just feel "off," even after tweaks to my build.
I'm going to start Rogue too next year during the Recruitment event, so this is welcomed information. Yes indeed, if everyone in the world could learn to have a Coke and a smile and shut the fvck up, we'd all be happier 💯💯💯
First character I ever created was a Rogue, then made a fighter to tank, then Wizard cz I wanted to DPS but hated to be melee given that I main tank which is a melee, thought of playing something different.
I love their continuous effort of trying to solve issues of neglected paragons of different classes, they first started with Tanks mostly the barbarian, then Thaumaturge, Arbiter, Whisperknife, Dreadnaught... Whisperknife was neglected ever since I joined the game! Perhaps we see a Warden rework soon?
I seriously wish them not to nerf WK from its current state, never love a nerf XD let's hope for the best!
It would be great to see Warden getting some TLC

Great vid GU. The slow motion rouge is dope. They need to leave it "fixed". Every class should be "fixed". It fun and exciting for the player base and people won't cry about Wizards.
They shouldn't have nerfed path of blades though :)

I've always had a whisperknife loadout to play with and always thought it did better at aoe and assassin. These changes have just made it so much better play tho.....its about damn time!!!!
They will just keep making new trials and dungeons ranged to even it out lol
I leave the game like 1 year ago or so, and my main toon (a.k.a. only) was a WK. Love it since day 1 of play. This video is giving me a little reason to reinstall the game again.
Idk, try different artifacts and use a dungeon boss that actually places debuffs on us, I don't like the training test boss. I still can't figure out any usable combo chain for whisperknife that does the damage some are claiming it to. I messed with mine a little and copied aragons I think (lol) but I ended up going right back to assassin loadout. Meh. After using assasin for so long whisperknife is hard to get used to I'd rather just keep mashing buttons from muscle memory and screaming with my mouth closed.
Understandable ! as far as using real bosses that is an issue ebcause i have to constantly stop and reposition and do some weird editing shit ! so for now the traning dummies serve it's purpose! in teh future ill add different fights but for now, this will do. Whisperknife is great atm you just need to practice rotations to get use to it, nothing crazy it's pretty simple

I started dicking around with my rouge again with the current new whisperknife and it feels excellent. Once that preview version hits I feel it'll be in a really good spot. Much needed buff, this is what I wanted from Cryptic. Good job, personally hope they do not nerf the rogue or wizard, I always said where the wizard is now should be the standard. If they can do that for the Fighter then I'll be a happy chap
I think a lot of people would agree with you about wizards being the benchmark if their current performance level was 100% by design
Standards are complicated because to have a class as a standard it needs to be working as designed and wizard clearly is not! and despite some'' fixes'' coming for wizard it's not enough, there are more that are broken ! i wish they released classes or patches that worked well from teh jump.

@@GalacticUnderwear Yeah I definitely get that, but I'm of the mind the way the wizard currently is, it's like a happy accident, Probs just fix enchanters multiprocing on the atwill then call it a day before they fully fuck the wizard. Yes they will "fix" the other shit no doubt, as it is not working as intended but that's part of the beauty of Neverwinter, nothing ever works as intended. BUT they do absolutely need to get on top of their spaghetti coded game and start releasing class patches as intended because it shows inadequacy of the staff bumble after bumble, especially how consistently Neverworking is not working as intended. It's like with everything they release we need to test ourselves to make sure it actually works then figure out how effective it actually is or oh fuck that's mad busted. Like I've only been playing since Mod12 and nothing was never as intended but that era was so addicting, but it showed they kinda don't know how to do balance or they still don't know what kind of mmo they want to be.

My main has been my rogue since launch, I'm gonna try out whisperknife for first time. I've been playing Neverwinter in auto-pilot for ages.
Update: I'm really enjoying the whisperknife, bit of a learning curve tho. But you can definitely get some long combos and feel like a badass, dealing out insane amount of damage.
