There is such a void for X4 guides on TH-cam that it is frankly amazing to get a series of this quality. These are sincerely fantastic, thank you. I am dumb and have a lot of trouble going through the minutia of building an empire. Flying by this playlist alone I am doing probably okay :)

I did the "young gun" start and decided to explore in a southwesternly direction relative to the hex map, and one of these was the first thing that turned up in a scan, near two unknown stations I haven't gotten to yet. Since I'm still getting used to the controls, this thing baffled me. Thanks for the guide.

I think the second model has more switches. I found another one behind one of the doors, and 3 of the doors on top of the structure still wouldn't open.
Just some medicinal advice, even though this video is 3 years old, so you probably already managed. You aren't supposed to quit Prednisone cold turkey. That is why one gets sick because it doesn't give your body enough time to compensate for the lower levels of natural cortisone. On average, as you slowly taper off it, it can take between a month or two to finally get back on track.

No, those are 5 different data vaults in the Avarice and Windfall sectors and unlock the blueprints for the Erlking equipment (shields, engines, turrets, main weapon). You need the Tides of Avarice DLC to get to those sectors.
That really wasn't a rant - and fungal infections can be not bad or really scary, painful, and life-threatening. Mind you, the appetite usually gets a boost, so it's not all bad. Except for the people who have their brains eaten, but that's how capitalism works! I hope the whole of you is well soon, as tree surgery is really expensive. Also, thanks for showing some light on this - it's my in-game hobby!
There are no knowledge points, you either have the tech or you don't. Once you have the PHQ you'll unlock a technology tab at the top of the screen (with the other tabs when you press "escape") to see what techs you have

Yes those trees are a pain. i had a large one in my front Yard. I have not taken it down all the way as of yet.

gold have 10 locks and lots of loot, while blue has 4-8 locks and will give less
