    The Echo ProPaddle is outstanding for getting acorns off the lawn. I have not found anything better. It is a little heavy, but does the job.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's good to know. I haven't tried it on acorns yet. I've seen wheel kits available for other brands of sweeper paddles. I mentioned it to ECHO to consider.

      Mark, I have tried blowers and all other types of gadgets and the paddle is the only thing that got the acorns out of my lawn and it does not rip up the grass.

    I don’t know if they’re a problem in your area but that looks like it would work awesome for sweet gum seed pod clean ups

      We don't have those seed pods in my area. Have you checked out the Garden Weasel? Those are great for picking up acorns and possibly what you're dealing with.

    I feel like you could have done a less labor-intensive job with a rake. I could see it helping for acorns or rocks though.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It really works great for getting the stones back in the driveway after snow plow season. Other times, you're right in that you have to weigh your options vs using a rake.

    I see you both pushing it and turning it over and pulling the paddle broom. Which is it easier? How long will it run upside down when running backwards? Thanks

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer to push the broom, it seems like a more natural motion. When it's backwards, it shoots mulch and stuff back at you and gets in your shoes.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd probably stick with a leaf blower for that type of work. Otherwise, the ProSweep has bristles that would work well. If you search my channel, you'll see a comparison video that I made.

    Saw a video on TH-cam yesterday with a paddle sweeper like this that runs on a lithium battery. the guy was talking with viewers as he ran it over his lawn,and I could easily understand what he was saying. This thing is bad for two reasons. Pollutes and you have to have ear protection.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This really excels in clearing out stones in the lawn after the snowplow season. It's way faster than a rake and doesn't damage the lawn.

  • @robsdeviceunknown
    @robsdeviceunknown 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I had no idea what this tool was. Yeah, I watched the video like a deer in headlights. There is simply no way, ever I would use that. I could have just raked it into a trailer behind my tractor and been done with it, no gas, noise and it looks heavy. I know this because I do this every year on my property. Takes no time at all nor is it labor intensive. Now, that's just referring to the Pine cones and brush. The street sweeper part seemed useable. I wonder what else your followers have used it for.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rob Lambert I think the biggest benefit is sweeping gravel driveway stones off the lawn after the snow plowing season. It’s good for light snow as well. I’ll make another video this winter.

    • @ChuckCoy
      @ChuckCoy 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      So if it's not as good as a rake then how is it better than a broom? Raking grass is much harder than sweeping a finished surface. Your comment seems illogical.
