    Been looking at both of these for a while. My primary application will be for dealing with acorns in the late summer/early fall. I use the paddle for my business. It is the best in my opinion. As far as the line in the middle I always use it at an angle.NO LINES As far as sweeing I use a split shaft and have it sweep towards me, As I walk backwards. This way when the rocks het thicker Im nit fighting to PUSH them and holding the paddle from digging in, the natural weight of the paddle attachment dies the work. Its?easier on the machine as a whole. The time to sweep takes 1/2 as long and Im 1/2 as tired at the end of the day. I do sweep a lot of gravel off of lawns every spring. Its very lucrative...

    I have the STIHL equivalent of these 2, KB-KM Bristle Brush and KW-KM Power Sweep, I mainly use the power sweep for non-paved surfaces. The bristle brush I use for driveways, walkways, and sidewalk, I can't really say one is better than another

  • @mjakersusmc
    @mjakersusmc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I’m looking at both attachments. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like the sweeper might get down into crevasses a little more thoroughly to remove dirt and debris than the paddle would. So unless you’re moving larger rocks on a consistent basis, I’d think the sweep was a better choice. Your thoughts?

    • @robnation2475
      @robnation2475 ปีที่แล้ว

      👍Agreed. For a home owner the sweep may clean a driveway or porch nicely with soap and water and do snow too. But I might decide to get the paddle as well to make some cash (and pay for both) clearing snow from downtown sidewalks etc.🤔

      This is great for cleaning up the last bit of the pile. For instance, if you have 10 yards delivered and shovel most of it off the ground, this paddle is great for the final cleanup. It gets the pieces in the lawn without ripping it up too much.

    Me thinks the Pro Sweep as it may require less effort to push and reaches into more crevices. I would worry that the paddle would maybe throw a few rocks back at me.

      Interesting observation. It seems that the paddle is spinning. fast enough to just throw the yard items as soon as the paddle hits it. The items don't get hung up in the paddle to be thrown back at you. At least that's my experience.
      I don't know how it does in mud. It may sling that enough to come back at you.

      I'm not sure. I remember thinking mine spins slower than other videos I've seen. Maybe the camera makes it look faster.

      What model engine? Also, what is the fuel type being used? I think both of those factors could influence the speed to a degree?

      I'm using the ECHO PAS 2620 Engine. It's 26cc's.

    I do stumps... Need to see it blasting stump chips in a yard

      I haven't tried it on that. I used a Kubota front end loader and a hand rake on the last big maple we took down.

      Haha, they both do a good job. If I ever have a giveaway contest, you'll get 2 entries.👊

    I just bought the brush and it kinda sucks. No matter which way you use it, it throws stuff at me. There is no guard.

      The pro paddle seems to be the better choice, based on my experience and all the comments.
