regarding the breathing, I guess it goes Back to the title of the Song "Combat beneath the waves". When you fight under water, what you Lack the most ist Air - so in the middle the Combat pauses and the Hero gasps for air
Omg the OST for my favorite place in the game. I've always been fascinated with lost civilizations aesthetics and genshin has an abundance of those but this place is on a whole different level
I like string instruments, but more specifically, I love bowed instruments! It's the vocals with the violin that really does it for me. Love all the vocal tracks in Enkanomiya!
this area where the song start is ancient place that abndoned for very long time and also have one of the darkest lore in genshin, so i think the breathing kinda symbolize what happen back then when some sh*t happen in this area
Combat beneath the waves is an overworld combat theme composed for an underwater ancient abandoned civilization. 4:29 - personally, the breathing signifies catching a breathe between a fight, as if the people fighting are in a stalemate and are strategizing. Ps: Btw if no one has said it yet, the use of different genres in a single piece represent where their powers come from. For example, in arlecchino’s boss theme, there was a lot of dubstep and in the all devouring narwhal theme, there was also a lot of dubstep because their powers are unusual and not from the world of genshin. Other boss themes and battle themes that only have minimal dubstep or have none at all are just the normal powers.
Wow thank you for sharing that info about the genre! i only noticed it in Scara's boss theme, but recalling the rest of the battle themes it's actually pretty accurate.❤
@@laineysays you’re wc to add onto it, i also just realized the battle theme of the withering in sumeru forest is also dubstep which makes sense with the “forbidden knowledge”
@@jadedanielgallemit6320 Also the narwhal's theme has the most edm elements added to it speaks a lot about the creature's nature. I also noticed how the game keeps the old civilization's themes separate from the current regions' style in terms of representation. I mean we don't hear any traditional instruments used in chasm or enkanomiya, tho they're physically in Liyue and Inazuma. It adds so much to player experience as if shifting the atmosphere to a different timeline.
Fun recommendation rabbit hole I suggest if you don't know anything about it: Epic: The Musical. The first song of them is The Horse and the Infant and it is divided into 9 sagas and 2 acts. It recently got Saga 7 of 9. I think you'd enjoy it since it's produced by a singular person who also sings the parts of the main character Odysseus but it sounds like it's studio quality and it's an interesting take on it no one has done yet. It's similar to Hadestown but it's firmly in the pop and rock worlds and rarely deviates from that but it has the Broadway style to it! I'm enjoying everything you're doing right now and hope you continue to enjoy!
I don't wanna spoil too much since u wanna play the game but this combat ost plays for a region in game that has suffered destruction and mass extinction event millennia's ago and everything we see as players now are mostly just ruins....The lore that's tied to this place is incredibly dark and disturbing... Don't let the cover fool U that's not the actual place this OST belongs to...!!!🤣🤣👍👍

Idk if it's just me but it's satisfying everytime Grim does the "Ooooo" face when something interesting happens during the vid.

The breathing may symbolize the ghosts that fill this area.
Also Bready steady go as the ending song is very based.
Yay, you finally gave it a listen. Yeah, the lore behind this is quite dark but its such a fun place to explore.
Ahh, this is from Enkonomiya, a fairly important part of Inazuma

Enkanomiya soundtracks are my favorite! Especially the one with the vocals.
day 4 of asking for tales from the snow mountain, and village surrounded by green

One of the most memorable 🎉

*children of the sun wants to know your location*
Oh yeah, the usual CHILD SACRIFICE LORE. Genshin just loves to do that for some reason. Also ,before sun and moon. The book that changed everything.
