It's an orphanage situation, but the children are raised as warriors, forced to compete and eventually kill each other by "mother", the previous Knave of the Fatui. At the end, the Fatui make Peruere the new Knave and give her the name of Arlecchino. She becomes the new director of the orphanage. Since her mother used to pretend to be sweet but forced them to kill each other, Arlecchino, to differentiate herself from the previous Knave, raises children "like a strict and unfeeling Father"
Gotta wait a little bit more for the Genshin Anime. Hoyoverse made a deal with Ufotable, a juggernaut anime studio with incredible record of making absurdly good animations in many kinds, to actually be the ones to bring to life the Genshin Impact anime. For the record one of Ufotable biggest animation was Fate/Stay night: Unlimited Bladeworks which despite having been made now some years ago, the animation is still unbelievable, even with the technology of now other studios have a hard time to rival it, specially also because of the production cost behind it Now what will the Genshin Anime cover as story? Nobody knows... some said that they will cover the Archon War which in the game storytelling was one of the biggeat events in the World of Teyvat. Other sources said that they were struggling to find a director to take care of it, but basically in the end nobody really knows where the production of the anime is at. They are hiding it pretty well
@@Jev_the_fluorescent_shrimpAnime productions take a long time bro, if it's a full 24 ep series it could take them well above 4 years if the studio is doing multiple projects which ufotable is. I am guessing we'll get an update this year or the anime directly at sneznaya's release.
Ufotable is not like any other studio, they focus on one project at a time, maybe two, but now they are full on Kimetsu no Yaiba, Also, recently the web rights for the Genshin anime were renewed by Ufotable so yes, the project is still on, but they must finish Kimetsu first.
Something that got lost in translation is the fact that the friend was probably the Mother's biological daughter, which only makes it more messed up that she put her into a fight to the death for leadership along with the rest of the orphans.
There are a few more animated shorts you can check out without watching any major spoilers. The two i can remember off the top of my head are Tsubaki in Thawing Snow and Endless Suffering.
They do have an in-house animation team who have been producing these shorts, but they also announced a collaboration with ufotable a while ago for a full on genshin anime. We haven't heard anything else since then, so we don't know anything more than that at this time. This short gave more detail to an already pretty tragic story in Arlecchino's case. She's extremely interesting to learn about and is a very well executed gray-area for me. She's also just cool lol. Since you enjoyed these so much, I'll float a couple animated shorts from HSR by you; my personal favourites are Ichor of Two Dragons, Rondo Across Countless Kalpas, and The Embers of Glamoth.
This short along with her teaser and demo made me really want Father and I’m so glad I got her as well as her weapon. Funny you should mention that it has anime quality, they made an announcement a while back where they are working with Ufotable to produce a Genshin anime
spoiler + context full : * arlecchino had a very close friend, her name was clervie; * both of them were very young and were part of an orphanage; * the owner of the orphanage was called 'mother', she WAS a fatui harbinger; * she hated the weak and prioritized the strong, so he commanded the children to fight; * years later, after clervie had lost all hope in escaping, she asked arlecchino for a favour; * that favour was to kill her to free her from the suffering of the orphange; * after which arlecchino avenged her death by killing 'mother'; * after the death of 'mother', arlecchino began to command the household; * she ascended into the fatui harbinger position after killing 'mother' * and acquired the title of 'father' of house of the hearth, As well as 'Arlecchino', the name given by the tsaritsa to her; * the household now serves as an intelligence service to the fatui, but mildly independant from it; * years later, in her story quest, she reunites with clervie, but since her soul was fading away or sm she couldnt talk to her for long; the end ( ily father ur the best )
Also, a little detail. The flower that died in "Mother's" hands represents Clervie, the friend of Arlecchino. You can see that Clervie had a necklace with this flower. And the flower that Arlecchino saw later before taking down "Mother" represents her, because it grew in the wild. It's a really nice detail, actually. I saw a video that did a breakdown of this.
why watching this still make me cry and clervie .... TT_TT , arlecino's friend that passed away actually the biological daughter of the mother of orphanage , i still cant forgive what she done to her own baby >:( , arlecino story in the game kinda continuation of this. and it still make me cry TT_TT

Its confirmed in game that it is indeed her biological daughter.

I think you mean Clervie. Peruere IS Arlecchino. Clervie would call Peruere ‘Perry’ for short.
