      This music piece is based on a beautiful poem written by Pushkin about the zorya beat ("the tattoo beat") which he remembers from his school days: short signals played on trumpet used by soldiers to mark the end of the day and time to return to their qauters or the beginning of the day (you may hear an example of the real old-fashioned signal here, at the very beginning of the video th-cam.com/video/CDaPLA6Oxrc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wqLqRghdR9QAi5Rn).
      So the boy here is actually imitating the sound of military trampets and doing it marvellously - pure and sharp, yet melodious sound flying in the crisp air.

      I was stuck by the acoustic completely surprising in a church well known, in south france abbay of Senanques (84). I was in the transept on one side of the church, and could listen perfectly people whispering when entering at the opposite : the entrance door ! This was... Maybe 50..60 meters far.

      The truth about time
      You want what you don’t have anymore. You think about what you don’t have not realizing one day you will do anything to be in the moment you’re living in now. All days feel the same but for some reason you think holding onto the past is going to do something. You know what you have to do to make your life not feel repetitive but you still won’t do it. We all live isolated live now and are too scared to talk to people because of fear of what they think not knowing they are feeling the same way about us. We’ve all sinned and need forgiveness only God can give it to us. We look inward for help because that’s what society says, then we feel depressed and self conscious about every problem we have so we turn to things to “fix” ourselves. We then realize we will never be the best and even if we are we would still feel worried about the future. Have a nice day!

      @@aurorarhys5666 Edit: I've been told this comment is a lot of projecting. That was not my intention. I apologize. I meant this to be a "here's my experience, it sounds very vaguely similar to something you said but that could easily just mean nothing and hey you're valid no matter what" type of thing. I guess it doesn't sound like that. I'm still leaving the post up though.
      (TLDR at bottom) Me, a few months ago: "I'm perfectly comfortable as a boy, but sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be in a female body". Now, I identify as both male and female, and I use he/him and she/her interchangeably. I'm not saying this is you. I know trans female basses who are really happy with their voices (and gender), so it stands to reason that a cis female could *want* a bass voice.
      But it just struck me how eerily similar your comment was to comments I made a few months ago, about wishing I could carry a pregnancy when I got older. So, if you are like me, then I figured hearing this might help. Not all trans people feel dysphoria. Sometimes that's because they're like me and are more than one gender. Other times, it's because they got lucky enough to only feel gender euphoria, and not dysphoria.
      But back to the first point-- just because something correlates with gender doesn't mean it's necessarily tied to it. In fact, very little is completely 100% tied to gender. Seriously. I've even heard about someone who says she's a man. And no, I did not misgender her just now. She uses she/her pronouns. But in a masculine way. If that's not solid enough proof that pretty much nothing is fully tied to gender, then I don't know what is. So, if you're cis female and want a bass voice, you're definitely valid.
      TLDR; I can't tell you what your gender is, and you're valid whether you're cis or not. But also, don't let the fact that you feel comfortable as a girl stop you from exploring it (if you want to and feel safe doing so). You might find you're equally (or more) comfortable as a boy. Or you might not; some people who question end up simply reaffirming that they're cis. You're valid either way (I can't say that enough).

      @@fastenbulbous I think you need to take another look at what I wrote. I made it perfectly clear that I wasn't telling her to do anything. I specifically said she should only explore those things if she wanted to and felt safe doing so. And that she might not find anything even if she did explore. How is that gaslighting?
      And for the record, I said nothing about sterilization. That is a separate issue. I myself was born in a male body, and I believe that I would be happier in a female body. However, I do not pursue sex reassignment surgery, specifically because I want to have biological children some day, and that is more important to me. Perhaps if uterus transplants existed, I would pursue surgery. Then I would try for bio children via pregnancy. But that would by no reasonable definition be classified as sterilization. And since that does not exist with our current technology, I don't pursue surgery at all. You can explore gender without deciding to change your body, as it turns out. The only ramifications I've had are the social ones of ppl using "she/her" pronouns for me and calling me a woman. And even those are reversible if I choose to ask people to stop (which I don't because it makes me happy).

      @phenomenologicalparadox5216 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@深夜-l9f generally you need a very loud and clear fundamental tone to clearly hear overtones. everytime a sound is played, the overtones mix with it and do allow you to distinguish instruments, as well as voices, but that isn't all that you have to distinguish voices. You have the way start the note (attack), the way they end the note (decay and release), how much breath you put into it, how much volume, head voice or chest voice, etc... these can vastly change the quality of a sound aside from overtones.
      tldr;
      I got carried away here with my response. my point is this: every sound you hear has overtones, but you can actually distinctly hear overtones separate from the fundamental when it is loud, clear, and usually lower in the register. usually you don't "seperately" hear an overtone, it's just a part of the sound.

      Should try shape note singing. A very different emphasis but it's huge fun if you like singing. A lot of people know it as Sacred Harp singing. It's non denominational and very loud and enthusiastic, and when you get a large group of singers it's just a powerful experience, just a bit rough edged if you are used to this sort of delicate, professional singing. But there are some very good singers involved, very powerful voices. It shakes the air.

    I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything like this. This is an immaculate top tier piece of music. One of the most gorgeous, advanced & unexplainable pieces of music ive ever heard. This kid looks like he belongs on a high school football team lol, impressive to see this 😂
    As a church choir nerd tho & a music lover, this gave me all the feels. This moved me in ways i cant even explain :) I honestly need to know the story behind this song. Its sounds sacred & otherworldly like it belongs in Lord of the Rings or something.

    Whoa! Almost fell out of my chair when the young blond man opened his mouth and started to sing. Did NOT expect that voice!
    Great staging, too - a choir of dark-haired young singers surrounding the almost delicate looking pale blonde soloist, from whom we expect ethereal tones, and BAM!
    What a magnificent performance by all involved. 💖😘

    Alexei Mikhailov is magnificent, ❤ and he just gets so much better with age. This was the very first piece I heard, some time ago (I think it was recorded about 6 years back), and since then have found some more pieces of perfection ❤ (please take the time to find them, well worth the listen). I hope the young treble at the door has also found his adult voice. Blessings to both of them and the entire Glinka choir. Magical voices. ❤❤❤

    In Indian Carnatic music, we don't have pieces written for multiple vocalists. I find Carnatic music beautiful, and choir music is such a different sound from what I am used to hearing I felt new regions in my brain light up😂.
