    Those 300 sixes were great engines. Good for 200 thousand miles or more if maintained properly.

    Great vid brother. Got an 83 F250 bullnose with a 460. Bought it from the original owner. Old guy even had the dealer paperwork from when he bought it. Same exact color as yours. We call him Milton Bradley Brown and he's our farm truck. The only guy that loves that truck more than me is my german shepherd. Shoot if I even say Milton to him he's busting out the door and jumping at the truck for a ride. Liked and subscribed. Cheers man!

    Love your channel! Please don’t ever edit out any of the cranking though - that’s the absolute best part.

    These Bull and Brick Nose F150's and Broncos are becoming a HOT build build out here in the West/Southwest because they are the last of the affordable Classic Trucks. I'm not a Ford guy but I'm considering getting one to build into a daily driver/Cruise-in/Cars and Coffee/Weekend fun truck.

      that’s true, couple years back I bout a 95 f150 with the 300 in it. 110k miles. No rust. Paid 3000 for it and put 1500 in it for fuel pump, radiator, brake lines, oil pan gasket, tune up, and it runs great no problems.

      @@ttt-de6sm Yep, we had a Cruise-in last night and a Cars and Coffee this morning and there was several 7th, 8th and 9th gen trucks there, Classic wagons are starting to get popular again too, There's more and more of them statrting to show up too.

    I have a brand new fuel pump on my 81 f100 but it’s not working so I installed an inline electric fuel pump. I think my gas tank is stopped up or something cause the truck wants to shut off going down the road and not start back up so I ordered a fuel cell and I’m waiting for that to arrive but it runs fine if I stick the hose going to the fuel lines to the gas tank in a jug of gas

    The timing is off, get a chiltons or hanes book and follow the instructions.
    Those plugs are tellin you the carb is too rich. I see a carb rebuild kit in your future.
    A short list of common things to check and you have yourself a good little farm truck. Have fun!

    • @alanparker3624
      @alanparker3624 ปีที่แล้ว

      Besides the clogged fuel line, the accelerator pump on the carb is shot, thats why its giving out when you open the throttle.

    • @alanparker3624
      @alanparker3624 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe I jumped the gun a little bit, changed out the plugs got her runnin that good? Well how about that, you did get a good little farm truck!

    • @CornbreadCrapboxes
      @CornbreadCrapboxes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah but I think your right about the carb it’s been at least 2 weeks and it’s running real rich. I think that’s why 2 out of the 6 plugs were wet and not firing.

      I do enjoy watching Derek’s video’s and he, along with some other TH-camrs is kinda what inspired me to do this. I’m just me and if you think that then you don’t have to stick around. Door goes both ways. Have a blessed day!
