I’ll be honest this film was probably the creepiest film I’ve seen Nicolas Cage in, I mean I didn’t think he could go that dark. This film was phenomenal, the atmosphere was very creepy, the story was well done, and it didn’t need jump scares at all which I’m glad it didn’t have, I can’t look at Nicolas cage the same way after this. This film scared me at times and it impressed me a lot. Nic cage never disappoints!!! Great review my friend

Have you seen the trailer for Smile 2? I really enjoyed the first one
I really enjoyed it as well. I’ve seen very divisive opinions for this. I post in Facebook groups in some horror groups and I’ll usually get a few comments but man there’s a ton of chatter and a lot of negative. Besides that i definitely will pick this up when it drops on 4k.
I thought it was just me at this point but I saw it on opening night and I was so tense for most of the movie. Heart racing. But once the shadow of lucifer kept appearing in every corner of the shot and we saw longlegs in all his prosthetic makeup glory…. I felt like I was being punked! It lost me there. Still lots of questions about Lee’s clairvoyance and where it came from/if it’s gone when she shot her dolls head. Did she always have it? Is that why Longlegs visited her? Bc Satan wanted her bc of that power???
@@idkaliciaa the shadows were so well manipulated and I loved the eyes on the dolls under the black sheet. So creepy! I think you might be on to something there! The doll must be the link to Lee’s abilities. Thanks for watching 😊
I will give the movie this bud where I agree: cinematography, sound, acting is good, I liked those things. Nic Cage I think he was playing himself 😂 not a bad thing, but not best I’ve ever seen from him. However besides that, the movie had way too many flaws and things that just aren’t explained for me that unfortunately left me not liking it. I wish I did, I wish I could give this a pass and genuinely want to check it out but yeah I don’t have those feelings at all 😂
I was looking forward to this film, but there was just too much wrong with it for me to fully enjoy. Also, it's not two and a half hours - it's only about an hour and 40 minutes.
A couple too many pointless jump-scares for me. I did like the character of Lee quite a bit but I feel like the big reveal of the mystery was kind of a let down. Def liked the atmosphere and cinematography though.
We’re together on this one. It wasn’t perfect but it was damn effective. That sound design!!!
