Not quite sure yet. We haven’t tested that yet because we didn’t want to press our luck and wreck it. However, we might try jumping it in the future and possibly make a video on it.
We just used regular downhill skis then cut them to a length that seemed appropriate to the size of our frame. It pretty much depends on the bike so do what looks about right!
first thing it would be easer to steer if you stood up and second take out the whole gear system there was no need to have any of it and stick a pipe as foot pegs, less drag on the ground.
"only costs $4" lmao misleading. No one can buy skis for that price and no one has a bike laying around. Also the drill isn't even included in the price.
Sorry if that part was misleading. We just wanted to share what it cost us to make the bike. Yes, there were many tools used to make the bike and if you don’t own any of them then of course it would cost a lot. Regarding the bike and skis, we were surprised to find the skis for $4 and got them at a Goodwill. As for the bike, I’m sure if you looked around you could find an old frame by the curb on trash day or at a used goods store. The price for making pretty much any project varies from place to place and the availability of materials. We just wanted to show how we could make something that is fun, cool, and relatively cheap by reusing old parts.
I literally went on the first local site and found tens of adverts of people getting rid of old bike frames and skis just like in the video. Do some research and dont be mean to kids on the internet. Dumbass.
Why didnt you just take the cranks off. The saw killed me 😂
I just bought a ski bike. They are so much fun! You need to try it on the mountain!
This was wild. Loved it!
What kind of skateboard trucks did you use
We just used some random ones we had on an old skateboard. We don’t know what the brand was. Any sort of truck should work.
When in doubt... duct tape is the way to go lol. keep up the great work!
mr can would be proud of your planning
I needed this video. I know what l will be doing for the next week!🎉
3:38 Unprecedented Indeed😱
Aunt Jess wondered where her shout-out was for finding the skis! 11 out of 10 on the rad factor.
I did exactly everything in this video today and it’s a lot harder then it looks but it’s so fun
That’s awesome! Totally, building it is half the fun. Definitely worth it!
Will it snow jump?
Not quite sure yet. We haven’t tested that yet because we didn’t want to press our luck and wreck it. However, we might try jumping it in the future and possibly make a video on it.
should have used some truck risers for the back ski lmao
What ingenuity!

Great content keep it up!
Your almost at 190 subs!

how can i know the size of the skis
We just used regular downhill skis then cut them to a length that seemed appropriate to the size of our frame. It pretty much depends on the bike so do what looks about right!
Awesome

Will most kinds of trucks work for this
Pretty much!
Nice
That was some crash at 4:40😨 But we're glad everyone was okay!
Everyone was okay... right? 😂
Yup all good 🤙
I know this comment is 3 years late, but would making the back ski shorter help with the back sliding out too much maybe?
first thing it would be easer to steer if you stood up and second take out the whole gear system there was no need to have any of it and stick a pipe as foot pegs, less drag on the ground.
Do you have to get read of all the wires like cut tHem off
Yes, we took off all the brake and shifting cables.
