    Hello,
    LOL! I wash my hair every 11-12 days, deep condition always, and steam twice a month. I use interchangeably Olaplex and/or protein, and moisturize/seal. For styles, I braid my own hair, braid outs, and use the Marilyn Monroe look. This is when I pin curl my hair, wear it to one side, or it's pinned all around. LOL!
    Make my own leave in conditioner that works best for me. I find store conditioners are too heavy for my hair type. I make my own growth oils, as well.)

    I am really shocked hearing people support someone that's getting a relaxer in their hair, usually people get upset and angry when they see someone getting a relaxer in their hair, they always tell them to embrace your own natural hair but it's beautiful that you have supporters that are not getting offended because you're getting a relaxer because they are happy to see how beautiful your hair is going to turn out with the relaxer

    lovely video but one question, something i didnt understand that you said. Why would relaxing hair more often make the hair thinner if you are only doing the new growth? it shouldnt thin out the rest of your hair if its properly protected and theres no overlap. I personally relax every 6 weeks and my hair has reached mid back length because i found that when the competing textures gets too much my hair starts to break. i would like to stretch however due to the health issues behind relaxing (cancer etc) so in my mind the less i relax the better to prevent that. but i was just curious as to what you meant about the thinning of the hair when you relax more often because that doesnt happen to me.

    • @tamarashaircare
      @tamarashaircare  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hey thanks for your question but what I mean by that is relaxer can damage your hair making its a lot weaker which will results in breakage, shedding and hair loss and also over-processing can contribute to hair thinning over time if maintained or done incorrectly. Alot of people hair are over processed which contributed to damage hair and that leads to thin hair. If that's not happening to you that means your doing something right and continue to do so !! Also that's what I'm concerned about to relaxer giving cancer etc so that's one of the reasons I try to stretch out my relaxers. Hope this explains more 😊

    I start using that relaxer recently, but stopped using it as it too is listed with the others that may cause cancer in women. It’s very expensive too. I have hair at my hips and one small jar works well for me. Never hear of anyone using two jars. 😢
    Not all hair can stretch for long. I know personally, I start have braking if it passes two months. Yes, you are not alone. I get excited relaxer day. More so when it done. Lol.
    In America I was surprised to see them relax then use hot comb. No wonder people have no hair. I do mine myself. Air dry it too. But they mess up my daughter’s and sister’s cutting it after every perm. 😢

    • @tamarashaircare
      @tamarashaircare  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I heard the optimums were listened so sad I have been using optimum for soooo long all my young adult life . Omg I thought I was the only one mizani is soooo expensive but the result is sooo good 😊 am going to do some research
      This stylelist tens to use a lot of relaxer
      After two months relaxed you should start wearing protective styles that's your best friend after two months to help you stretch

    • @MH-hw4uh
      @MH-hw4uh 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tamarashaircare It’s not the hot comb I see hairdressers using here after relaxing, it hot curling iron. In my ind that’s too much processing in one day. When I used to live in Florida, there was one hairdresser who does it the Jamaican way, relaxes the hair, then put in rollers and then under the dryer but since I moved to Georgia, every hair dresser, relaxes the hair, then do a flat iron press. So ridiculous. People don’t have hair for long. Every visit, they are cutting and cutting and of course because the hair is damaged by their crap. Lol.
      Like I said I do mine myself and every 6 weeks or so, and I comb my hair everyday. Hip length and few strands of hair loss. Not all hair are alike. I would be shedding hair like crazy if it stays one week. Lol.
      But all the best. I just love watching your videos. I’m from Jamaica 🇯🇲 lol.

    • @MH-hw4uh
      @MH-hw4uh 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because it’s difficult to find a relaxer, that could cause cancer, I have started using the ones that made for children. Works just as well. Possibly, not as well as optimum, but it’s still fine. Having the hair very well done every time, isn’t good either, since I do it more often than you you do. You definitely would need something strong after nine months. I honestly haven’t heard of any one stay that long, to relax their hair and haven’t have severe breakage, no matter what they do in between. Lol. You do have strong hair and your special care and products help you achieve that goal I’m sure. Many people want long hair are not willing to put in the work to care for it. It’s like a job for me. Lol. I’m retired so I have the time. Lol.
