Straight bar dips are really a struggle for myself do feel like you say they do hit the core and triceps nicely a lot more than regular dips. Great session and smashing dedication to the grind 💪🏻 💯
Much appreciated my man! Yeah, I think the straight dips are more tricep, so probably not the best for chest Day, lol. Didn't feel much activation and have no soreness today. The quest continues!
Never tried straight bar dips... Hey If you are looking to get more hypertrophy from dips, I found combining them with push ups in quick succession works very well. So a good session is 30 seconds dips, 10 seconds rest, 30 seconds push ups, then 1 minutes rest. That's 1 round and you do 5 rounds. Takes just under 10 minutes. I am stiff every time!😄
I don't think your chest looks stressed by the bar dips, i think loaded pushups with hand on brick's for extra stretch would hit more fibres, load and flatten the pikes basically, bricks in a backpack, and do them more regular style would be my guess, but can't say for sure. I mean, the old time strong men didn't train pecs i believe, and besides you wouldn't want huge pecs i imagine even if it were possible, but slightly more defined and functional
Yes, slightly more defined and functional is where it's at. I don't think this old body has BIG in it, lol. Also, you're probably correct about the straight bar dips. No soreness today. It's a learning process!

Yessir you are correct! I always have problem getting an explosive enough pullup anyways. Such a difficult move for me.
