They look awesome! You can make them with leftover ragu/Bolognese sauce as well OR you can use the sauce described in this recipe and use leftovers on top of pasta, in tacos etc! Thanx so much!
Byron- saw this and had to make it for dinner tonight. Just ate it and it was so yummy, so thanks! I added and changed a few things that I think really made a difference. For instance, I used jalapeño ketchup, cooked my meat with red pepper flakes, used pepper jack cheese and a sourdough bun. Just a little twist.
Oh gosh I'm sorry Byron I had no idea about your voice & my comment to your last video was that I preferred your voice overs & usual style of videos. Glad you're feeling better & thx for another amazing video!
I am NOT a sloppy joe fan but these look incredible! I like that the only sweetness comes from the ketchup, which I think makes them seem a lot more appetizing to me. Might have to give them a shot this week :)
I'm a picky eater so I don't eat a lot of stuff you make videos on but I watch them all the time anyway because they are so good quality and they look so good!!
You should try making this Indian dish called "Pav Bhaji", the best way I can describe it is as a vegetarian Sloppy Joe. It's filled with amazing spices and it's my favorite food in the entire world! Delicious!!!
I think I prefer your talking videos :) it feels personal and authentic. Your none talking videos are great and so professional but it kind of feels cold. Anyways, love your videos! I've tried the lasagna recipe for my boyfriend and he practically licked his plate clean! Haha
Hey, why do you use Tomato Puree, Tomato Paste, and Ketchup? I know Puree means it's blended up tomatoes, not entirely sure what the paste is, but ketchup is made from tomatoes with some additional flavors, right? So why the need for all 3 of the tomato...stuff?
The tomato puree is basically the liquid part of the sauce while the tomato paste helps to thicken things up and add more richness. (It's just a more concentrated kind of tomato sauce.) The ketchup is used as a seasoning because it's a little bit sweet and sour with other spices added. Using all three helps to balance out the flavor and consistency of the sauce.
Heat resistant for sure, so be sure to check if it is before cooking with it. I've made that mistake while making a very very large batch of caramel at a restaurant and it was a DISASTER. ;)
Don't even know if you'll see this, but...I'm watching this video 3 1/2 years after published...You've really gotten more refined as you've evolved...(Comparing this video to now: November 2017) You look like a smaller guy so it's cute when you do the miniaturized recipes. I'm not at all one for adding a little sugar to tomato sauce based stuff as is often seen, but here I would. Just because mom always put a good handful of brown sugar in her sloppy joes! Good stuff!
I SAW IT! But was a little bit dissapoint it, the moon was too emm, to late i think, but i saw it, it was red and little xD, what ever, was a good experience (sorry for my bad english)
im indian and whenever someone i know gets something spicy, they finish their drink within *10 seconds* of getting the dish. I take a bit, eat it and i am like *"THIS ISN'T SPICY AT ALL"*
They look awesome! You can make them with leftover ragu/Bolognese sauce as well OR you can use the sauce described in this recipe and use leftovers on top of pasta, in tacos etc! Thanx so much!

It tastes like different dimesions of tomatoes. I love using tomato paste: gives more concentrated depth to any dish. Yum!
The tomato puree is basically the liquid part of the sauce while the tomato paste helps to thicken things up and add more richness. (It's just a more concentrated kind of tomato sauce.) You're so awesome!! Thanks for the recipe :)
Ok! You did it again!! LOOOKS amazing...
Awesome! Trying this out today for sure
Love the examples of good food. Little things like this is great for an American living overseas as we are. Little bit of home in the Philippines!!
never heard the name sloppy joe before :D i'm from europe. but that "sauce" looks like bolognese to me besides the pepperoncini in it.
Taychill Usually more tang and sweet.

YOUR VOICES BACK!!!
Wow, looks soo delicious Byron.. Yummm.. You always make me hungry with your videos haha... Btw great to hear your voice again :)
These look so good!!!
Looks great!
Do you have to use a heat resistant spatula in the pan, or can you use any spatula?
:)
Yeah, you must use a heat resistant spatula. Otherwise, the non heat resistant ones will melt and burn from the heat. (From personal experience) :)
Heat resistant for sure, so be sure to check if it is before cooking with it. I've made that mistake while making a very very large batch of caramel at a restaurant and it was a DISASTER. ;)
Awesome, thank you!
i prefer to use my hand if you burn it remember to use neosporean
