I'm in Nova Scotia and we have fluff. It's really great melted on chocolate ice cream! :) We also make fluffernutter sandwiches. Some people also add sliced banana on them.
I found this very interesting. I.I'm from Calif. originally, and now live in Texas, but have never heard of this kind of sandwich. And, I am not young, so wondering where I have been all my life. lol!!! Yes, I remember when baggies came out. Mostly remember them after I was married in the 70's. They were great, and they came with twist ties to close! wow, quite the invention. Baggies was the name brand and they were "aligator tough", bumpy textured. I'm sure they came out much sooner, but it was all we could do as a child to have ingredients for lunch. So wax paper it was. Oh the memories you brought back. We were poor, but had an extremely happy childhood. I was blessed with the best family a person could ask for. There were 5 of us kids!!!!! My mom was a SAINT.
I love fluff. We have American sweet shops here in UK 🇬🇧 So glad we have this stuff imported 😊 Reeces peanut butter is my fave too. I made the fluffernutter toasted sandwich with the two.. it was delicious 😛 Darlene you're a treasure. Hello from Manchester, UK 🙋
I used to make those for our daughter & they are really good. I used to put peanut butter on a spoon with fluff & eat it. When I didn't have any marshmallows I used to put a spoonful of fluff over our gas burner & it was like a toasted marshmallow. I'd love to see you squish a toasted marshmallow. I'll be drooling while you do it. Hahahaha.
not fair darlene,i don't have any fluff or on in my pantry and I so want a fluffernutter now,Wahhh and being from the north living here in the south I have introduced plenty of southerners to the joy of fluffernutters,i was eating one, some one said what is that,I'm like flutternutter lol also I love adding sliced bananas to mine, and yes please video of smushing a marshmallow lol your you tube is doing awesome,so many views, congrats I knew you could do it,love watching u,hope to see you at Sanford walmart sometime this summer, lol
I'm in my 60's live in southeast kansas and have never heard of fluffernutter sandwiches. guess I will have to try one. tfs. see never to old to learn something new, love it
I like to use vanilla wafers, generic brand, instead of bread. Put pb on one side and fluff on the other and then pop em together as they go in my mouth. My dtr mixes pb with her fluff and use the nilla wafers like a chip w dip. Either way it's delicious. Awesome nostalgic video, thank you. Another awesome video Darlene!!!
Mix it with cream cheese and dip fruit in it..its basically the BEST fruit dip. One one those plus one whole package of the block cream cheese, mix with a mixer YUM. I take that to pot lucks and people go NUTS. Also at walmart the Bimbo brand bed is the best. its so soft and fluffy
haha you crack me up Nuuum, nuum, nuum. Oh what? fluffernutter sandwich LOL, never heard of it before. you had me checking the ingredients of our peanut butter, ours only has 4 ingredients one of which is roasted peanuts. veg oil, sugar and salt and also contains antioxidants LOL (hugs) Diana xx
Also I remember sandwiches in wax paper. We still do it when we go to the beach. No idea why but it just doesn't seem right to eat a sandwich at the beach out of a plastic bag!
another thing that is very good is to take cream cheese and some of that marshmellow stuff and a squeeze of lemon, mix it up very well and it makes a fantastic fruit dip.The cream cheese has to be very room temp so it don't clump up, i even put it in the microwave for just a bit to soften it then add the rest. so very good. I am in Minnesota and never heard of that type of sandwich, my grandkids will love it. :-)
I love Fluff!! :D We have it here in Australia....and they call peanut butter 'peanut paste' over here! Everyone asks me about peanut butter and jelly....they hear it on American t.v. and don't know what it is! Jelly here is jello, so it doesn't make sense in a sandwich! ha ha I laughed at your notation that your mom ate it immediately! I remember sandwiches wrapped in waxed paper!! I think I was about grade 5 or 6 before we got baggies! :)
Might have to have one of these. We in the UK now get fluff in the "American" section in tesco lol and of course we have peanut butter in its varieties
I remember sandwiches in wax paper, I took them to school, we were poor, so I usually got cheese sandwiches, with mustard. now I love cheese sandwiches, but I will try this with my grandaughter's next door, and my sister in Law loves marshmallow fluff, so I will tell her about this, as a matter of fact I think I will try it myself, tks for the info, BTW do you have a concocution of chocolate, marshmallow, cheesecake with banana's???? sound's good to me, I'm making scone's with chocolate and mini marshmallow's. just thought I would like a pie . tks again Nicky
Never heard of fluffernutter sandwich, NE Ohio is where I live. The only thing I heard marshmallow fluff used for was some kind of fudge that my mom made at Xmas :) Funny how different parts of the country have their one thing. Peanuts are very good on a low carb diet. Remember to subtract the fiber from the carbs for net carbs. I eat peanut butter too once in a while. Being diabetic, I have to watch carbs all the time. I eat peanuts almost everyday. Don't worry about eating peanuts, as long as you don't overdo it. XXOO
Never heard of fluffernutter sandwiches over here in Wisconsin. Not sure I'll try one though, because I'd rather not add another guilty pleasure to my diet. I do remember having my sandwiches wrapped in wax paper up until middle school.
I'm in Tennessee and have never had a fluffernutter sandwich. I think I've heard of it though.. but here it isn't a thing. we do have marshmallow fluff here and I plan on trying it.
I love these foodie videos. I've heard of the fluffernutter sandwiches but never tried one? I'll have to get some fluff the next time I go to Wally World. Have you tried that stuff called Biscoff? OMG! Soooo good. It's like a peanut butter texture but it's made out of Belgium cookies. I got some one time when there were coupons available because it can be a bit pricey but I was hooked. Now I only eat Biscoff and jelly sandwiches instead of using peanut butter. I know a Biscoff and fluff sandwich would be Awesome too. And, YES to seeing you play with a marshmellow in your fingers, LOL. That might even go viral :-) Like the Chewbacca Mask lady.
Yum! Sounds Delish! That Biscoff is some addicting stuff. Do they have it in sugar and cinnamon flavor now or does she add the sugar and cinnamon with the Biscoff on the apples? I've only seen the regular Biscoff flavor. I hate to admit it but I've even eaten it straight from the jar, LOL.
Here in Texas we don't have fluff we have marshmallow cream and it is terrible. My mom lives in Sanford and I had here send me some fluff. It is great in supplies pies.
I live in Ohio and do not know of anybody that eats Fluffernutter sandwiches, however, I do use marshmallow fluff for making fudge, and as far as squishing a marshmallow, yep, I've done that plenty of times
In the UK way back when, holes in bread like that we used to say the baker's wife was up the duff (pregnant). Not sure why I should ask my mum she was a Baker.
I like these cute n easy vids ... :0) I'm pretty sure we don't have fluff over here . But I'm a sucker for crunchy peanut butter .. Loved it as a kid, n I love it even more as an adult... Had a peanut butter wrap this evening .. Peanut butter is one of natures most special gifts .. Ha.! Peanut butter and Strawberry Jam is a major winner too . But, I have to keep myself fit, so it's a real rare treat .. When I'm a little older and no one cares what my body looks like , I'm gonna eat peanut butter and jam till I bloat like a zeppelin ... Can't wait ... :0)
No fluff here in New Zealand! You have so many crazy things in the us I have never even seen before. Can you show us all the cereals you can get there?
+Darlene Michaud You got it! Haha I sure hope I don't sound like I'm picking, I genuinely enjoy each persons spin on how to say things. Also, if your Mother likes Rice Krispies treats you could use up the rest of the fluff on making her some. You can even make them with fruity pebbles!
In Ontario we call that bread Texas toast...we do have peanut butter of course 😊, I'm a peanut butter snob will only purchase Kraft! I don't think we have fluff.
American bread is so sweet! I can't find any bread other than French bread that's not sweet. Please, if anyone can recommend bread that's not sweet, I'll love yez! 🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞 :)
loved the video! I learned a lot actually. I live in British Columbia and ive personally never seen a fluffer nutter sandwich Vanillin (the one you had was most likely synthetic) is actually a Synthetic used more than natural vanilla extract as a flavoring agent in foods, beverages, and pharmaceuticals. I found a very useful page about it and its surrounding health concerns here juicingtherainbow.com/675/supermarket-juices/vanillin/ Is it weird that i think it would be cool to see the marshmallow squishing video? Haha, well thats just my suggestion. Sorry about the long comment!
I'm not pushing my views on you but if you watch a few of "freelees the banana girl" she will explain why carbs and high calorie foods are good for you! Rice bread pasta and potatoes are good for you! Oil is what makes the food unhealthy. I was 200 pounds and got down to 160 with no exercise or restricting calories. I had really bad cholesterol and now mines perfect. You should really check it out
Not good for someone who is prediabetic. I'm not even trying to lose weight. Just want to keep my A1C number down and by cutting out complex carbs, I was able to reduce it drastically.
Darlene Michaud I was actually prediabetic at 16 (YIKES!) on the edge of obese with a high blood pressure and cholesterol. Ever since going vegan (been a year) my BP went down to 118/65, A1c down to a healthy #, and cholesterol down to a dream level. Also lost 20 pounds (about 15 more to go!) This was by eating healthy carbs and moderate protein. Vegans actually have a 60% lower instance of type 2 diabetes even after taking BMI, activity amount, etc into consideration. Type 2 diabetes comes from intromyocellular lipids (fat inside muscle cells) and not carbs.
I'm pretty sure Fluffenutters are only a northeast thing. When I moved to FL in 93 they didn't even sell fluff down there. They do now though but people don't make Fluffenutters. Lol
You know what you should show people? New England style hot dog rolls. LOL No one knows about them and no one understand why they are the best hot dog rolls!
And that's still bullshit. It's just little head games people play. Carbs are carbs are carbs. Nothing cancels them out. Just twisted ways people like to look at things.
would really like to see your mom on camera ..if not can you film her without her knowledge , would love to see her persona ;) would be fun to catch her off guard possibly acting narcissistic ..omg is that bad of me to ask this , im sorry if I am being invasive but it could be quite Interesting , I know to me it would ..Love your videos Darlene , your such a informative and have a Beautiful personality , I enjoy your channel Immensely !!!!! I would not do that to her. It would be such an invasion of privacy. But when I was growing up, I dreamed of being able to record her so I could prove that she said certain things or acted certain ways. Now I would be able to do that and show her, but I know she would still deny it. lol Just the other day, I considered having her write down what she said because I wanted her to see proof that she said it. That's how much it still gets to me. But can't put her on camera. I even joked about this in my upcoming Q&A that is currently uploading.
fluffernutter definitely a New England thing! Love em!
I'm in Nova Scotia and we have fluff. It's really great melted on chocolate ice cream! :) We also make fluffernutter sandwiches. Some people also add sliced banana on them.
Canada, eh :)

I made one and ate it while I watched you make yours. lol ! Fluff is also tasty when you put a spoonful in your cup of Hot Chocolate.

I love fluff and peanutbutter sandwiches! You made me want one lol
Yes squish a marshmallow! I do that often. Almost makes it into a soft taffy. So tasty!
Also I remember sandwiches in wax paper. We still do it when we go to the beach. No idea why but it just doesn't seem right to eat a sandwich at the beach out of a plastic bag!
New subie binge watching all your videos. Just had surgery and just resting in bed laughing at the crazy funny things you say.

No fluff here in New Zealand! You have so many crazy things in the us I have never even seen before. Can you show us all the cereals you can get there?
I'd have to take out a small loan to show all the cereals! lol I could show them inside the store. But there are tons!
Here in Kentucky we jokingly debate how to pronounce Louisville, it's awesome to hear your take on it.
Well..... do tell!!! Is there an S sound? I'm hoping not!!! lol
+Darlene Michaud Thankfully there isn't an S! We say Lou-uh-vull but I think it depends on who you ask 😉
Okay, so I say it differently because I say lou-E-ville, with a long E. So glad I was not supposed to pronounce the S! lol
+Darlene Michaud You got it! Haha
I sure hope I don't sound like I'm picking, I genuinely enjoy each persons spin on how to say things.
Also, if your Mother likes Rice Krispies treats you could use up the rest of the fluff on making her some. You can even make them with fruity pebbles!
I haven't heard of fluff, I will look at walmart next time I go, I'm from California

If your diabetic you definently shouldnt have a high carb diet. Thats literally the most unhealthy thing you could do for a diabetic/ pre diabetic.
Darlene Michaud I was actually prediabetic at 16 (YIKES!) on the edge of obese with a high blood pressure and cholesterol. Ever since going vegan (been a year) my BP went down to 118/65, A1c down to a healthy #, and cholesterol down to a dream level. Also lost 20 pounds (about 15 more to go!) We don't have 'Fluff' in Australia, good job we don't because I would eat it all. Lol
I love MNAM MNAM MNAM peanutbutter! lololol
I'm pretty sure Fluffenutters are only a northeast thing. When I moved to FL in 93 they didn't even sell fluff down there. They do now though but people don't make Fluffenutters. Lol

Fiber cancels out carbs, so technically it's only 5 carbs
Believe it or not, that is bullshit. lol
Darlene Michaud you are right, I Mis spoke, I meant protein
And that's still bullshit. It's just little head games people play. Carbs are carbs are carbs. Nothing cancels them out. Just twisted ways people like to look at things.
Darlene Michaud I guess those doctors and scientists don't know everything lol that's my bad
and no other fluff tastes like that idc who says what lol
would really like to see your mom on camera ..if not can you film her without her knowledge , would love to see her persona ;) would be fun to catch her off guard possibly acting narcissistic ..omg is that bad of me to ask this , im sorry if I am being invasive but it could be quite Interesting , I know to me it would ..Love your videos Darlene , your such a informative and have a Beautiful personality , I enjoy your channel Immensely !!!!! And yes you should do that , squishing a marshmallow as a kid I remember we called it taffy lol XOX Mickey
Oh Yes of course ..I hope I didn't offend you in any way , I understand
Can you be my daddy
Can you be my daddy
