What about the water that's in the engine block? Wouldn't it end up in the pool along with the RV antifreeze and dilute it and make it weaker against freezing? Also, aren't you suppose to run your outdrive more in the downward position to avoid messing up the gimbal bearing?
Great question. Yes, it will dilute the antifreeze. Its best to check it with an antifreeze tester to make sure it can still provide protection to the winter temperatures in your area. Gimbal bearings wear out with use just like any other bearing. If you want to put the drive in a lower position to run it then that would work as well. Hope this helps. Thank you!
@JustaDude123 as far as my comment about diluting the antifreeze, it was more towards you recycling it over again. I'd think after it got diluted, you wouldn't want to use it even a 2nd time due to even more water mixed in with the antifreeze.
@@TheDbrewer31 You can buy Starbrite Marine Antifreeze that is rated for -100 if you add that to the diluted mix, it will bring the freeze rating back up to where you want it to be.
