My favorite part of trapping people with my warlock is the rage whispers you get about 2 minutes after the match. That’s when you know you’ve done it right.
It brings warmth to my heart how many ways Shadow Rift can be abused to put people in places they can’t escape from. Thanks for another spot Arch! Warlocks will never be boring again (until they take it out of the game)

on battle for gilaneas there are decorative cages in WW, a warlock can do this and trap people in the cage, you can only get out of someone kills you and if your melee your are screwed, and yes, it works in RBG

When I did this, there were a lot of friendships formed as you said Archvaldor. So much that I received many whispers saying that they wanna be friends with my mom
10 years later, the war still rages but the tower people have formed their own society. On the outside there is still the Horde and Alliance, for those on the inside there is only the tower.
Two critical flaws made this exploit possible: 1. Lazily failing to complete Out-Of-Bounds prevention collison. 2. Adding an ability that forcibly moves others Players over long distances. It really feels like the Blizzard devs don't play their own game.
That is because 99% of current devs don't play WoW at all. While the OGs that left actually did play the game and weren't allowing these dumb exploits to exist with so much easy oversight.
I got trapped in here by accident after a gilder incident and thought that it was pretty cool, wondered if there was anything useful i could do with it. My questions have been answered.
Yah its an ashran thing, though of course you can do very similar things in alterac valley and isle of conquest - but I covered those in my main shadow rift video. @@archvaldor sorry Archvaldor, no link. I noticed that defending WG guards during instanced matches "float" beneath ramps, especially around bridges, towers and workshops. They become immune, similar to the "evade" phenomenon while their dmg output seems to increase. I'm sure a Warlock or stealthy Rogue could make a difference there 🙃

Still using this and I do it in the outer tower so the guards dont kill them. How long can I get away with it? Portal scrolls are mandatory in my group lol
I wouldn't call this gamebreaking. It's tactic. Not the player's fault that Blizzard makes structures such as towers with no proper access. In fact, why wouldn't they make ramparts and access into the towers for ranged and casters to position themselves? That's what towers and walls were used for after all in real life siege battles! Come on Blizztard!

Well there's not really an alternative to wow pvp. FF14 and New World don't have viable pvp. Other MMO's have better pvp systems but don't have the numbers.

just was in an ally team where the horde lock trapped 8 allies in that tower, everyone kept yelling to report him for exploits and i was laughing my ass off, they didnt take scrolls. in my opinion this isnt an exploit, a similar example is how demon hunters can jump to each other factions gunships in IOC and kill the cannons when the opposite faction takes hangar, is that an exploit cause i can double jump and glide? dont think so
The battlegrounds are still very active, ashran got turned into an instanced epic battleground so the old issues it had aren't a factor now. A lot of pver's are trying final fantasy but that doesn't have viable pvp.
The epic incarnation of bg they revised in wod after the first patch wasn't that bad but it had got a reputation by that point....pity in some ways it can offer experiences other bg's don't.
I won't do it, but it was funny as hell to watch. Im not a puss so I kinda wish it would've happened to me without me knowing about because I would have laughed my ass off.
That's not that easy without disabling the glider everywhere-and you can get into the other tower pretty easily. Smaller range for the other but still quite doable.
Sht like this is what makes a game fun... so instead of patching the game and making it so you can't enter the inside of those towers (which is what blizz is most likely going to do, lmao) they should really just leave it in, and advise players to keep at least 1 town scroll on them at any moment. :P
It is interesting you honed in on the optimal fix of barring entry to the towers. I'm pretty certain they aren't clever enough to think of that judging from how they tried to stop this exploit being used in other bg's. Maybe they should give you a job:)

@@archvaldor He got on the entrance of the building with the final boss of the battleground. He was able to hit enemies from up there but they were unable to reach him. He was not banned on day one it took them some days. I guess he was reported alot.

I ran into this trap spot on my druid a couple weeks ago and you can actually use wild charge in travel form to get out

priest pull couldnt get us out, charge wouldnt work, its a 100% effective way to deal with melee at WW

Exactly. A number of sharp exploiters noted the same thing when they brought it in...like "what were they thinking?" "are they even trying?".
