When you realize the west coast president of NBC, Don Ohlmeyer and good friend of OJ Simpson, told Norm to stop with the OJ jokes. Then he got fired because he wouldnt. These jokes take on a whole new meaning. The dude was a gangster.

Love Norm McDonald. He never let it go and never let up and it cost him his job. He was not only comedic genius, he was also heroic. RIP my man.

I was in 3rd grade, we all waited in line to go to the cafeteria while the teachers watched the verdict in a conference room. I'll never forget the look of my teacher when she walked back in the room. She was pissed! We were too young to really understand why, we just thought it was funny that she was mad.

This is a good story. You can even recall how your teachers reacted to the verdict. I definitely remember some people being shocked.

I was in 7th grade. I was at recess, coming back to class, I passed a teacher, watching us come back to the school, she was yelling the verdict. Why I remember that, shows how massive this case was.

I came home from school. My mom, some neighbors and a bunch of her friends were over. When the verdict was read..the look of horror on all their faces I will never forget. I was in 4th grade. I remember some of the gritty details but didnt understand them until I got older. The next day school my teacher could hardly even speak.

I was in high school and we watched the reading in my class. Every guy who looked like they might be a football fan said, "yes!" I never saw what the big deal was about it at the time. People get murdered. Eventually I understood it better.

Civil trial is where a person gets sued for an act, or a crime, but is not held criminally accountable. If the defendant loses they are required to pay money to the person who sued them, though often times the money is paid out by an insurance company and the person who lost the trial does not pay out any of their own money. The burden of proof for conviction in a civil case is much lower that of a criminal case, being why (in part) OJ was found not guilty in criminal court but guilty in civil court.

I was at college in the commons with black and white students, all watching the tv. We all knew each other (it was a small college) and then the verdict was read. The black students cheered and the white students gasped. Then it was uncomfortable. I thought I knew people, but didn't. It was a hard time after to understand the response; only time and knowledge has given me an understanding. But it completely divided the entire campus. We had news crews there that night for a vigil for domestic violence. A lot of friends stopped being friends. A very hard moment in time.

Great reactions! If you are interested, you should check out Miles Mathis's article on the OJ incident. It is a total different outlook from whether he was guilty or not guilty. It's pretty mind-blowing!! Anyway, keep up the great reactions. Much love and respect 🤙

You were in high school in 1995? So you’re at least 41 years old wow. I was 7 and we hadn’t finished moving yet, we set up the TV in the middle of the living room and watch the verdict is how I remember it.

9th grade, sewing class, Mrs. Jensen, I was the only boy in a class of all white girls (ahhh the diversity of Northern Utah in the 90's was stellar 🤣🤣) and I laughed my ass off while 25 girls and the teacher went off the rails REALLL quick
