Our school has some program where you can do anything from cooking to fire fighting and flying is one of them you can fly any plane it’s a pretty cool simulator or that’s what I’ve heard
Great vid. Have been wanting to get my daughters to give DCS a try. My set up isn't as elaborate as yours but similar ( pedals, warthog J stick and throttle, cougar MFD's, 3 34" screens). Now she knows why you luv the sim so much. Good first lesson.
Visited my sister in law years ago in Beaufort South Carolina. Her sister was a big wig at Hughes aircraft. She set it up for me where I was able to go onto the marine base there at 4pm when the marine pilots were done with training. I flew a $40 million dollar f-18 hornet sim for 2 hours. 1st attempted landing came in too hot and control room tells me I just ripped my landing gear off. 2nd attempt control room talked me down and landed. 3rd and 4th time landed the jet all by me little self just fine lol. Amazing experience. Guy actually told me I have a credit of 2 hours in the f-18. As soon as I got back from the trip I went right up to the airport and started flying. My instructor asked me if I had any flight time and I told him yup got 2 hours under my belt in an f-18 hornet haha
That is so cute. My daughter used to watch me play Falcon 4, AF. She used to laugh when I crashed while learning how to land. She motivated me. ❤ DADS ROCK!!
10:49 she keeps it on the runway like a champ! I know I've had much harder times keeping a jet in DCS under control without turning off NWS. Just some advice for you the reader, that I learned only a few weeks ago after flying sims for years and years: when using pedals for fine adjustments, place your heels on the ground and use the balls of your feet to apply pressure, instead of using the whole of your feet and your leg muscles! It is a complete game changer! If you fly helicopters or warbirds you can thank me later!
if you're at higher speeds in most jets don't even bother with nws, it'll just send you into oscillations, using roll is far more useful and delicate, but only works at high speed
So many improper start-up procedures. Hornet guy here use to fix em. Gen are not turned off unless there's a problem even on shut down. You always start the right eng first to recharge the app sys.
I've flown a Corsair and Mustang before! Specifically the F4U-4 and P-51C Models. When I have enough money, I'll buy my very own Corsair, and name it "Skonch." I was so lucky to have been allowed to fly both models and really love seeing the best in life.
is that the DCS FA-18? Looks nice. I've been doing MSFS for decades but about to get into DCS. I guess the ground graphics isn't quite as detailed as MSFS but the jets are way better.
My dad did this with me.......but in a real F-14. He snuck me into base and his wizo was in on it. Dad sat in back and basically talk me through everything just like here. I climbed out to 6,000 feet, after 20m we came in and landed. Was pretty neat. I was 13. My dad did get caught when the video went viral. He's still in prison. But it was fun. =D

Can you please do a video walking through the startup and what the buttons do? I’ve been looking into setting an F16 cockpit up but I’m worried I’m too dumb to understand it so I would like to see if it’s something that’s doable.
This looks amazing. have you ever thought about putting the trackir sensor behind you, so that you don't have it blocking your view, you ofcorse would need to also flip it on the headset, and also in the software, but it would get rid of the giant black box from your hud

Nice one, there is a setting in dcs for this kind of set up so it doesnt display the instrument panel or do you have to do some kind of zoom every flight? My father has the same f18 big hotas and plays with track ir also f-18. I play all the ww2 birds with the same pedals as you and a warthog hotas, track IR and VR.
