The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is a badass SUV, definitely by far the best SUV from an American company. (The Trackhawk is cooler, but its the same family). Launch control, AWD, NA Hemi V8, looks mean, has a nice interior, what more can you ask for? - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Srt gc atleast has “srt” in the steering wheel, idk why the trackhawk says “jeep”, dummest shit ever. I have a 15 srt Jeep, intake, exhaust, headers, throttle body, tune, I’ve done 0-60 3.9, avg 4.1, quarter mile 12.5 @ 118
I have a 2017 srt. This guy isn't kidding. It's an awesome all-purpose vehicle.
How is the Gas Mileage? When cruising, Does it have the Cylinder Delete?

La Porta D find me a suv for 65,000$ that is faster and more luxury.
The thing I liked about my JGC was it was a decent sized vehicle without being TOO big. Big enough for 5 comfortably, with room in the back to spare, but not unwieldy.
the correct x5 to compare this to is not the X5M, but the 50i. power and price are just about the same. However the Jeep will wipe the floor with the X5 50i in handling. The Trackhawk is the one that should be directly compared to the X5M.

I just picked up a '21 JGC SRT last month with low mileage. It's a beast, for sure! I have had a perma-grin on my face since the test drive. I rarely see any of these where I live, but when I do, me and the other driver give 'the nod'. Aggressive-looking, stylish, fast, formidable, and a great daily driver! I'm looking to keep this beauty for many years and hope it treats me well. Great video review. Just subscribed to your channel, too 👍

This is hands down the best SUV I’ve driven at this price range and I’ve had a number of sports cars and SUV ...this one made me smile every day and took everything I could throw at it with no stress. IT capabilities not the best but that’s not what you are paying for. Sold it for a Ford Explorer sport and now have massive regrets. Be aware that the SRT has massive maintenance and fuel bills but I haven’t driven many better than it, except for the Porsche Cayenne GTS when it was a v8 and that’s an extra 40k

hamronD73, yes brakes, and tires.
@@angelav2906 I agree. I have found that using the transmission to downshift as much as possible really extends the life of the brakes. I'm at 30,000 miles on my first set.
hamronD73, I nursed my brakes and used the down shifter a lot , but still the fronts needed done at 20000 km which I thought was too soon. Lot of weight in the front so maybe that’s why....
Honestly rather have a SRT and supercharge it than a Trackhawk. I love them led lights and SRT badging.. they half assed the Trackhawk

I drive an 07RS4 and my wife drives a 16 grand Cherokee SRT and she loves it. ...and wont let me drive it. Very underrated.

regular SRT looks better than the trackhawk. Jeep did terrible on the exterior of the trackhawk thats why its not selling well. its missing the hellcat hood with that silly trailhawk looking badge and doesn't look as mean as the regular SRT and doesn't have the SRT badge.

Trackhawk looks identical to srt, but for quad pipes, yellow calipers, and badging. Definitely not worse, just not better.

Everyone going to comment on this but its the truth......
I had a 2016 SRT but sold it and got a MK2 RS and a 2015 GC blackhawk for the dog. SRT was way to easy to drive and missed a drivers car.
I was expecting the 3.6 Blackhawk to be slow and useless compared to the SRT. Wow.... i was wrong.
DO NOT, waste your money on an SRT if you can drive.
In a straight line, yes, the SRT will win but.... have corners, roundabouts and stiffer suspension on a 3.6, and you can drive... bye bye SRT. You have to get the stiffer suspension or you will get understeer, its a must plus a CAI and Bora exhaust.
A bonus is the 3.6 can go offroad.
I wouldnt buy a SRT over a blackhawk 3.6 - not in a million years. Due to weight to power ratio there isnt much in it once you get simple mods.
Maybe a second or 2 = too much money imo.
The noise of the SRT is awsome but.... with those mods there isnt much difference.

Nice to see a quick review of the 2018. Only a few minor changes from 2017 like the updated UConnect system but it’s nice to see a current model year one. Info on the 2019’s should emerge this month, last year for the WK2.

Sadly you didn’t check specific models. It’s the wranglers and cherokees that are very unreliable.
It's a better deal than the Trackhawk. Pick up a used SRT and put twin turbos on it and blow a Trackhawk away. Still $30,000 in the bank. Plus insurance is cheaper. 420 to 475 hp base ( depending on year) compared to 707 hp. Insurance companies won't won't know that you upgraded!

@@TheDHM3007 Well I hope that you find what you're looking for. Honestly I would get the 6.1 srt8. It accepts boost so much better. If you're looking for reliability then 6.1. If you want max hp, then go with the 6.4. Has more base hp. But not as reliable. Variable timing makes the 6.4 less reliable

This video is garbage. I bought a brand new SRT Grand Cherokee a 2017 and it was a total piece of garbage. Vibrations, clunking noises, transmission issues, and actually not all that fast. All problems were not fixed by the dealer and were classified as "normal."
I bet it cant go off-road. Jeeps these days are like not even jeeps a jeep should be able to go anywhere like the trailcat and wrangler/rubicon for example, and the fact that there is carbon fiber in a jeep amazes me in a bad way.
You wanna drive this thing the whole way there and back, with a smile on your face? Slap that shifter to left.
That does nothing but put the shifter into manual mode. The drive modes are on the dial behind the shifter.
This i love about america... in europe ur car get scratch from clima idiots even if u drive on the road they pull up the middelfinger.... i go to buy me the 19 srt 8 i love it...

The interior is as nice as you're gonna get from a American company, but it definitely isn't German levels or quality. Unless you are counting only VW.
I have a 2018 SRT and it's freaking AWESOME! You will spend lots of money on gas but if your worried about that then don't buy 1. It handles way different than the limited, and overland.. I've had both prior to purchasing my SRT..

You should test out the trackhawk.. its the fastest SUV to date CRAZY! Would love to see it! Its around the 100k mark. Faster than any porche's bmw's or range rovers.

Sound is the same. No gimmicks in the exhaust system.
I believe it’s like a throttle mapping, sports mode sounds different at idle compare to auto, for sure.

I dig these a lot and was considering buying one, but would say the reliability is a real issue with any Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler vehicle. JGCs rate well below average in Consumer Reports' reliability ratings and it's well known that's true to life.
Zuke Dude ,please don't listen to consumer reports . The Facts are if jeeps are soooo bad they wouldn't have the sales they have , I've owned 6 Grand Cherokees will be ordering 2019 SRT this fall .
Zuke one more thing they just won a brand loyalty award and a cult status award based on ownership !! Talk to owners throw consumer reports away !
Zuke, I still drive a 08 Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi which I have owned for 10 years with 378,000 miles and still runs great. Just the regular maintenance no major issues.

Haha I own a 2014. Depends on your definition of reliability. It won't leave you stranded somewhere, but certain things are just stupid and shouldn't happen. Carbon fiber trim, lifters, peeling rims/brake calipers. The biggest issue I see is the lifters, but besides those it's mainly cosmetic issues.

Great review, I have a15 SRT and really enjoy it minus the common FCA quality issues (carbon fiber trim peels, wheel delaminates and front Brembo rotor paint fade) but it is a blast as a daily family hauler. That said, I’m probably opting up to to a used BMW X5M on the next go round..

Avoid a used BMW Lewis, especially an x5m.. trust me.
That was resolved all in 2016 or 2017. The brembo paint was painted by brembo

Yeah I think the exterior is nice but I really think the interior is still lacking. The materials and leather feel very cheap and comparing to a german SUV imo is a stretch.

I have a 2008 grandcherokee 5.7 Hemi with 380,000 miles on it and still runs great. I have driven it for 10 years straight. It all comes down to maintenance. Never had any major issues just regular maintenance.

@@EddieX Bro I've broken 4 wheel knuckles and 3 wheel bearings the last one smelted on the knuckle, then i broke 3 CV axles and the last one the CV axle shaft broke inside my transmission. Lmfao Klahklahklahklahklahklah wow! How's that for power and speed.
