Cummins is no more than an author who has no physical skill and a few badly translated ninja text. I talked to him directly and he agreed he was just building contraversy to sell his books. He says he gave a "Polite" letter to Hatsumi that he had no claim on Ninjutsu and he wondered why they booted him from Hombu. This is why he has a bone to pick with Bujinkan. He couldnt hack it. So he is taking obscure references and writing books. Best of luck to you but i doubt he would show.
Good luck, to be honest I'm kind of sick of all the "Bujinkan is this, or that" comments online and I'm just done with it all...Ego is the life killer, and I feel all of us (everyone in the world) has too big of one, that being said i have my own that I am trying to deflate. I always want comment on either his videos, or someone else's (like McDojolife). But I think what's the point, I am not an instructor, hell I am not even a student anymore, there's nothing i can add or take away from it but negativity. Antony seems cocky and I remember what I was like and how being cocky got me brought down a peg. hopeful that it turns out the way that might make us all better.
So if this goes anything like every other challenge then nothing will happen. Dang it just once I want to make some T shirts and other swag for an event like this! Keep on keeping on Don.

I think it goes without saying that if this guy shows film it and post it so we can all see it. On a side note I see a lot of similar behavior like this in the veteran community's with stolen valor. Alot of guys who claim to be (insert special forces) but turn out to be cooks, truck drivers ect. As a infantry vet myself I respect my brothers and sister's in support rolls. Combat is not for everyone and for every person in a combat roll there has to be 11 in support roles. I think this says a lot about people's insecurities in life that they need to claim to be something that they are not. Sorry about my sermon Don I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Can you make a video on Bujinkan and its effectiveness? I just started it but there is so much stuff on youtube saying its not or it is to a degree. I would like to your input
I remember seeing some video from Cummins saying he wanted to do a friendly challenge sparring match with other people who train ninjitsu? Forgive me if I'm wrong on this, I've seen a few of his videos and he didn't strike me as a jerk. I downloaded one of his ninja book translations but I haven't had time to read it yet, so I don't know if it's any good, and I wouldn't know if it was accurate or not. Don, I believe you're friends with some people I have immense respect and admiration for, subject matter experts on violence, one of whom is nicknamed "Animal"...So you have my deep respect simply for the company you keep. Just trying to wrap my head around all of this as an outsider.
You should be okay. Cummings turned up at the time and place challenged with Paul Richardson. Paul thought he was a blowhard and didn't show. Cummings videoed the non showing Paul. So he has shown he will show up for challenges at least.

Ah, everyone's a critic...;-) Personally, I like making the original text clear from my commentaries and clarifications by using different fonts.
