I'm almost glad they waited this long for a sequel. I think it will get more of a spotlight than the first one when it launches. And then I don't have to spend the next 10 years telling everyone who hasn't heard of it how great it was
Absolutely!! I'm right there with you. The original game gradually built more and more of a following over time and now that's gonna explode with an immense number of new fans. With much stronger support from day one, and Itsuno being free to pursue his complete vision, DD2 is bound to do incredibly well. Which means we hopefully won't have to wait so long for Dragon's Dogma 3...
thats right, its smoke is materializing a bridge. knowing how incense burners like the one in the trailer is related to churches may bring about a kind holy class rather than just utilizing the holy element
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I've noticed promotional art for the game (such as this video's thumbnail) depicts the main character wielding specifically a cutlass with no shield in sight, this to me implies the presence of the High Sceptre vocation in some form. Also I apologize, had some slight editing issues with this one. Believe it or not I am still finding my feet on that side of things (and my software loves to fuck me over.) I probably missed some stuff too, so feel free to point out anything you catch that I didn't in the comments! I noticed a few mistakes, such as the 'ogre with a hammer' possibly being a minotaur or even a fucking ELIMINATOR so there's that, also that 'ghost lady' may very well actually be some sort of being from the rift or otherwise tied to it. Anyway I hope I did a decent job still!
Right in the first scene with the Griffon you can see there are two people riding it while holding to its neck. It could be a cutscene for the story or meaning of multiple regions and the griffon could be a fast travel method (still a transition cutscene).
3:28 that thing she is wielding looks like a censer. It's a pot that contains embers that burn to produce incense and spread it in the air by swinging it with the chain movement.
I. AM. SO. HYPED!!! I've put nearly 500 hours on steam alone with Dragons Dogma 1, your video's helped me enjoy classes I never thought to even try and I cannot WAIT for DD2! DD1 has been in my heart ever since I played it on my 360 for two whole weeks in-between moving homes and it holds as one of the best RPG's I've ever played.
Totally fine with trading Mystic Knight for Spellsword/High Scepter. In fact; the censur using mage makes me think Priest is getting its own full fledged class, so hopefully that means Sorcerer can be the attack spellcaster. Also; maybe I'm weird, but I think Mystic Knight becoming a Paladin would be cooler than it being the Shield Sage. Make Sorcerer + Fighter = Spellsword, and Priest + Fighter = Paladin.
I'm okay with them making vocations more specialized, as long as we can still switch freely between them. Ideally they would allow the player to switch skills and possibly even vocations on the go, instead of forcing us to visit npcs to do so. And I'm pretty sure dd2 is either a prequel or an alternate universe to ddda, given that the first game basically tells us that the Multiverse is real
hopefully we'll be able to switch Pawn vocations. i genuinely thought it was possible up until a few days ago. welp, there goes my hope for a Magick Archer pawn :(
@@ThiefofCrystals that's what i meant to say, but didn't actually say. hopefully DD2 will allow hybrid vocations for pawns (i call it a waste not to do that). and hopefully, they'll be more than pack mules.
Just stumble upon your channel after rewatching the trailer Hope you got the attention you deserve from this point till DD2 released Now if you'll excuse me, i have class guide playlist to watch
Couple of things i wanted to mention (Purely Speculation. Correct me if I'm wrong) 1) I Don't think thats the bluemoon tower. The bluemoon tower is way smaller in the original game and has fortifications around it which aren't present in the trailer's tower. The pawn dialogue states that tower was constructed by an old ruler of the land but the purpose of this tower is unclear. They say that it was either built to ward off the dragon or as an altar to the Old Gods which means that other similar towers could've been constructed long ago as well. If it is the Bluemoon Tower then they've made some significant changes to both its size and its surrounding structure but I doubt that. Could be a completely new tower which was built as an altar or a fortress against the dragon as well 2) at 4:16 those two are both pawns. The man with armor is the same one that springboards the other pawn onto the Ogre so possibly more pawns interacting with one another. The pawn with the white fur cap and scarf is later seen touching the riftstone. Not sure what that implies 3) The Gorgon is also from Dragons Dogma Online. There is a Medusa bossfight in that game 4) The dragon is only called "Dragon" in closed captions, not Grigori. The dragon that Savan fights at the start of DD1 is also voiced by David Lodge despite not being Grigori 5) the Leaked screenshot originated from 4chan and was dismissed as some generic 3d assets being placed in Unreal Engine with red lighting. No confirmation on that leak or the story leak being true (especially the story leak since that one mentioned you being forced to wear a mask the entire time which was disproven by the trailer) 6) the Arisen stabs himself with the Godsbane blade at the end of the game. After you defeat Savan, he pulls the Godsbane Blade from his heart. I think that stabbing yourself with the Godsbane was the last step of becoming the Seneschal. So I dont think the cycle was ended by us
Can't believe Thief didn't call gravity mage getting a strike with all those goblins. My boy has been practicing gravity magic his whole life to play bowling.
Well, at least they got the Dragon's voice, even if its not our boy Grigori. Man, it still gives me the chills to hear him speak... I can't wait to be in front of that beast again. This looks like it will be worth the wait
My current theory is that the map for dd2 will include a town on the opposite side of the greatwall. I cite the shot at 4:05 as my main bit of evidence. This would also explain why bluemoon is on the lefthand side of the shot
This would make sense to me! Especially given they've stated the map will be roughly 4 times as large as the original game's, I'm thinking it's possible Gransys itself will still be included in that
Oi, Theefy! On the potential Mystic Knight section where the player smashed the goblins together, that was a new weapon, a twin blade! Easy to miss when you're focusing on the beautiful magick! There are so many details from both DDDA and DDON that it makes me so freakin' happy.

@@thekxckup3854no one’s asking anyone to get rid of single player but a multiplayer tab/option would be nice. No need to be ugly to someone for longing to play DD with their friends
Great video as always! Although DMC5 was a single-player game, it still had a very limited form of co-op where players would randomly join your game (cameo system) and you'd see them fighting in real-time. Modders managed to unlock it to create true co-op. I understand them making DD2 a single-player experience and why co-op isn't in the main game, but I'd be extremely surprised if they don't add post-launch co-op dungeons separated from the main game.
Wait, we broke the cycle in the first game? I thought the fact that you always fight your previous character as the final boss meant that no matter what, the cycle continues.
While it could be interpreted this way I believe it's been mentioned that NG+ isn't canon to the story and the extra details are just there as a bonus/easter egg
I was also thinking about co-op... But I'm not sure how it would work in a way that still gives you the fully immersive exploration feeling that the single player version does Multiplayer for me more often than not, ruins mystery & intrigue, when you have people rushing ahead or already googling things to plan out steps etc, or everyone having the most overpowered meta builds instead of having a party of AI that have real flaws & weaknesses & make mistakes. Going through BBI the first time was amazing, delving ever deeper, feeling like it was a struggle to get to the very depths. But with co-op, it'd be 4 overpowered meta build users, cheesing enemies from unreachable places, crushing everything etc. I just think keeping it single player is the better choice because it guarantees a formula that is already amazing.
This is a valid point. I'd point to Monster Hunter as an example of this sort of thing going well, but that's also more or less designed for co-op from the ground up. Clearly Itsuno wants to push a tightly designed single-player experience along with the psuedo-multiplayer that Pawns allow for, which I very much enjoyed in the first game, so that's perfectly fine by me.
Oh god you're right Here's hoping we get that once the skill is upgraded, not sure what I'd do without muh knockback - ALTHOUGH it would technically make it easier to combo with...hmmm...

Yo thiefbro. How likely do you think we're gonna have a vocation centered around bare hand to hand combat? I think the devs were going for something similar in the original DD but ended up scratching it due to budget issues
Honestly I think chances are very high right now! DDO had Alchemist which combined hand-to-hand combat with a little sprinkling of magic - each hit "tagged" enemies with crystals that could be detonated by snapping your fingers, more crystals meant more damage and it was insane. The sheer fact that the posterboy of DD2 seems to be using High Sceptre as a vocation, which featured in DDO, indicates that we'll likely be getting other DDO vocations along with it. Itsuno is the type to incorporate as much as he can for DD2 so long as it works well.
@@ThiefofCrystals ohh shoot that sounds freakin' badass! And i like the wording/flavouring of the class by adding the concept of alchemy (i obviously never got to play DDO 😅) I got to introduce my wife to DDDA this May (it was my all time favourite rpg of the ps3 era) and we binged the whole game! I even got to explore a lot of locations that i previously missed back in 2011ish with was pure awesomeness. We cant wait for DD2! I want to se my boi warrior getting as much love as the other epic vocations ❤️
My theory for the cycle is that when we first broke the eternal ring it cracked and this game depending on what you do will mend the cycle or break it in its entirety allowing the world their in to fade into obscurity leaving the "cruel, unending ring" or a second theory breaking the ring shows the source of the ring and its up to tha arisen to defeat the "parasite of human volition" to be truly slain upon realising the unending ring is to give the maker of the eternal ring power over all humanity by gathering the humans with the most will power to feed the ring and in turn feeding this entity. I know the second one is a little far fetched but id like to see a happy ending for the arisen considering all the pain they go threw and see others are afflicted by to slay the dragon
My reaction was screaming and sobbing!!! I am hyped with regards to classes, races, fighting, travelling the world we are given....the beloved system, emoting with pawns (wish I could romance my pawn but....yeah that's not gonna happen). I am so so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like, when blink strike is on the screen, I am looking at that archer leaping into the air, then firing an arrow from mid air! That evil looking guy on the throne looks perhaps to have a wakestone in his chest.....maybe.....
Capcom, after various Monster Hunter games, DMCV, and developing the RE engine, combine that with a proper development team this time... I am prepared for whatever is about to come
Someone else said it in a comment but how you gonna zoom in on the Griffin and not mention two people riding on its back? 0:59 Could just be a cutscene, shizz is straight outta LoTR and would be amazing if Griffin's were flyable or just fast travel options!!
You guys know that map size was limited as well as allot of futures in the game . now we getting . new cycle with BEST Capcom engine they ever had !!! Re games 60 fps 4 k with ray tracing on series x and ps5 I mean damn!!
Since Dragon's Dogma is basically the closest game we'll ever get to a proper live action DnD game I'm not really surprised to have Tabaxies have shown in the game, and honestly they're not as hideous as the Elder Scrolls ones, so fuck it I'm down. Hell for all I care make them a race you can hire as mercenaries if you can't connect online to get pawns. edit : 3:33 that's a censer. You put stuff in it, and you make it emit "holy smoke" so basically that's the closest thing we get to make 4/20 jokes. 4:15 High-fives are a start. But I hope I get to give them a hug too. 6:58 I have not played DDO but my best guess would be some kind of Holy vocation, maybe a Cleric type deal but instead of heals in on utility? Thats just a guess tho.
My will is strong. I will wait for DD2 for as long as it takes and then I will go on a killing spree, dragonforge and further enhance every single piece of armour and weapon there is. I hope there are unique romance options. So much fun :) Came to join us, dear Arisen? Hehehe.
I noticed the new dragon eyes are black unlike Gregory maybe it means this one isnt controlled by a human also the vibes he gives isnt matching Gregory vibes
I'm sad they didn't take the opportunity of making the game multiplayer. Imagine, you are playing as your pawn in an another Arisen's world. That would be wonderful.
the only reason i played the first game is because the combat was amazing. Quests, story, characters and even loot variety were all rather lackluster. I did love the main hub town because it looked like an actual medieval town and not like in skyrim just a fortified village with 5 buildings.
I mean. What if this "new" dragon its the same dragon from one of the endings of the original game? The previous arisen and the loop never was actually broken? And history its litery repeating itself again?
But really, it won't be called Bridgemancer. Since we can also climb Frigor, remember? >DD Well, might be a Scencer user, like a holy vocation (Priest) or so
this was amazing my guy you did so good ^_^ look at all the likes you got and comments im so happy that this is taking off for you. proud dad moment 'you did good son' lol XD. this game looks so good i cant wait to tell you all about some of my adventures and you tell me like the good old day of dogma 1
Calling it now…. But incense go brrr. I hope so. Can’t wait for release! Been binging your content and started a fresh hard play through to try and hold me over 😅
Weird thought, but what if they're trying to make it so certain vocations aren't strictly stuck to using certain types of weapons? We kinda saw it in the first game with assassin and how you can mix and match your secondary and primary weapons, and mystic knight using staves or swords, so who's to say it's not the same in this game, but to a larger degree? Like maybe that gravimancer was just a mystic knight making use of spear? And our 'bridgemancer' could be a mage and/or sorcerer making use of a censor(thank you comment section for the lovely brain food). Better yet, if the theory about why Itsuno was researching katanas to make combat with them more accurate is true... that could mean we have fighters and/or warriors that can make use of them. Anyways, that's just the ramblings of a balding madman that has a copyrighted grudge against smeagle.
Well all was going well until ... you said you think Devil May Cry 5 could be the best game ever made ... WHUT!? Did you even play DmC? It lit leaves 5 in the water ... seriously
Not gonna lie my friend that is something of a nuclear take but you are entitled to it, for me personally DmC missed the mark both in terms of story and combat, and DMC5 has it massively beat on both fronts, but we're all different people with different perspectives so by all means enjoy the things you like!
@@ThiefofCrystals Indeed! Each to their own, whatever salts the pickle eh? My theory for the cycle is that when we first broke the eternal ring it cracked and this game depending on what you do will mend the cycle or break it in its entirety allowing the world their in to fade into obscurity leaving the "cruel, unending ring" or a second theory breaking the ring shows the source of the ring and its up to tha arisen to defeat the "parasite of human volition" to be truly slain upon realising the unending ring is to give the maker of the eternal ring power over all humanity by gathering the humans with the most will power to feed the ring and in turn feeding this entity. I know the second one is a little far fetched but id like to see a happy ending for the arisen considering all the pain they go threw and see others are afflicted by to slay the dragon
by the villiage...was that the gate that lead from the shadow fort?
Looks to be a censer that the bridgemancer is holding.
The Griffon has people riding it in the intro, new fast travel system?
I am prepared for whatever is about to come
the Bridgemancer is justMonk class
what the new sorcerer (bridgemancer) is using is a censer (maybe not a new class but just a new weapon type?)
Please give us Alchemist like, I REALLY need a fucking alchemist.
Someone else said it in a comment but how you gonna zoom in on the Griffin and not mention two people riding on its back? 0:59 Could just be a cutscene, shizz is straight outta LoTR and would be amazing if Griffin's were flyable or just fast travel options!!
I wonder if each of the colors above the head of the dragon on the logo are the colors for each type of vocations now lol
You guys know that map size was limited as well as allot of futures in the game . now we getting . new cycle with BEST Capcom engine they ever had !!! Re games 60 fps 4 k with ray tracing on series x and ps5 I mean damn!!
i think ive watched the trailer like 40 times now XD I'm so hype for dd2 bro!!!!
I cannot stop thinking of what could be possible, but the real question is...
Do we still get to do Fist-Only runs.
If they don't give me Alchemist I'll find a way
I will riot if I can't make a cat arisen
I wonder if we're gonna see Brawler in this game?
I will need AXES in this new chapter.
I really hope they let us choose our stats and not make them tied to Vocations
They're probably gonna blend the classes just like the last game so player can get their strider and rangers
Truly, we are the Dangan.
THE WIND IS PUSHING MEEEEEEEEEE
My will is strong. I will wait for DD2 for as long as it takes and then I will go on a killing spree, dragonforge and further enhance every single piece of armour and weapon there is. I hope there are unique romance options. So much fun :) Came to join us, dear Arisen? Hehehe.
Will you be doing class guides on the dragon's dogma online vocations? Since it seems they may be coming over to the sequel.
Unfortunately probably not since that would be difficult for me to both get my hands on in the first place and also to properly do research on
Bridgemancer guide when
Oh it'll happen
I noticed the new dragon eyes are black unlike Gregory maybe it means this one isnt controlled by a human also the vibes he gives isnt matching Gregory vibes
Add co-op and this is 10 out of 10.
03:27 The Platformancer? 😉
I'm sad they didn't take the opportunity of making the game multiplayer. Imagine, you are playing as your pawn in an another Arisen's world. That would be wonderful.
3:18 Isn't that a Minotaur? It's not an "ogre with a hammer." Lol
Hell yeah. Let's go.
FUNNY DRAGON'S DOGMA GUIDE MAN
That would be hilarious if they dedicated an entire vocation specifically for building bridges and nothing else! 😂
Would have been kinda cool to take control of your own pawn and help others in their games.
the only reason i played the first game is because the combat was amazing.
Quests, story, characters and even loot variety were all rather lackluster.
I did love the main hub town because it looked like an actual medieval town and not like in skyrim just a fortified village with 5 buildings.
As long as they give me my precious holy bolt & maelstrom I'm happy, & of course silk lingerie.
Radiance my behated
3:31 i'm pretty sure thats an incense burner
Incensancer
I mean. What if this "new" dragon its the same dragon from one of the endings of the original game? The previous arisen and the loop never was actually broken? And history its litery repeating itself again?
But really, it won't be called Bridgemancer. Since we can also climb Frigor, remember? >DD
Well, might be a Scencer user, like a holy vocation (Priest) or so
i think grigori is a title not a name.
this was amazing my guy you did so good ^_^ look at all the likes you got and comments im so happy that this is taking off for you. proud dad moment 'you did good son' lol XD. this game looks so good i cant wait to tell you all about some of my adventures and you tell me like the good old day of dogma 1
Lmao thanks Tro! Hell yeah I'm looking forward to that!
Im so fuckin hyped
Hope you're doing well bud!
It wont be here soon enough!
why is it so blurry, probably bad taa
Dragons Dogma doesn't needs be multiplayer
Be cool if it was tho ;)
Calling it now…. But incense go brrr. I hope so. Can’t wait for release! Been binging your content and started a fresh hard play through to try and hold me over 😅
I think at 3:00 its a mystic knight o:
should have watched the whole video I guess lmao
THIS GAME DOESN'T NEED MULTIPLAYER believe me !!!!
4m 55s Nice to see Marilyn Manson still getting work....
🤣
Maybe this outs me but the sphinx has me conflicted between fear and some very gay thoughts
Looks like the same story as the first one. Also, i hope the world looks nicer with different art designs
The anime was fine. No caveat. Any Dogma is good Dogma.
Hard disagree I believe it flew in the face of the core themes of Dragon's Dogma but I respect your right to a different opinion
@@ThiefofCrystals I understand your opinion, acknowledge it's point/s of validity, and respect your own right to have it.
@@dwaynetemple4080 Very well I will now shake your hand 🤝
XD gg Arisen
subscribing honestly
Dragons wogma
Katanas would be so out of place in a game about Western mythology
Vergil says hello
@@ThiefofCrystals DMC also features guns, something conspicuously absent in medieval fantasy games.
@@valmiro4164 Yeah but like it's cool tho
(Also Dark Souls did this as well it wasn't that bad, even Elder Scrolls does it)
Nah, I need me my katana vocation
'promo sm' 💕
Well all was going well until ... you said you think Devil May Cry 5 could be the best game ever made ... WHUT!? Did you even play DmC? It lit leaves 5 in the water ... seriously
Not gonna lie my friend that is something of a nuclear take but you are entitled to it, for me personally DmC missed the mark both in terms of story and combat, and DMC5 has it massively beat on both fronts, but we're all different people with different perspectives so by all means enjoy the things you like!
@@ThiefofCrystals Indeed! Each to their own, whatever salts the pickle eh? I enjoy playing as Dante for the whole game. 21 beautifully crafted missions and fights with a clear and concise story point i.e his origins its all about Dante 😂... There's 6 Dante missions in dmc5 right? And they retcon'd the fans believed timeline 3-1-4-2-5 becomes 3-1-2-4-5 makes no sense at all. Yeah I rest my case DmC > all the other dmc's in my nuclear opinion.
DmC missed the mark on story lmao .. how? By having a story that made sense? You sound like someone who's first time playing a dmc game was 4 ... which is technically the worst one that or no.5 ...
You are smoking some good shit man.
Yeaaaaaaaaah yeaaaah you're not gonna be able to beat Absolute Cringe. Dude was able to make an hour long video off a 2 minute long trailer.
Rude
And I'm not trying to beat him or anyone - doesn't have to be one or the other and people are different, why not enjoy both?
I hope they make a trailer just for the classes so that we can get an impression of what we might want to play when the game comes out. And Mystic Knight should return!
when i saw the trailer for dd2 and metal gear i creamed my pants so hard
it's almost like this guy doesn't understand how a sequel works. Felt like an idiot was trying to breakdown a trailer but all he did was make corny jokes and made theories that made zero sense
Okay I'll bite, what makes you say I don't know how a sequel works? Not gonna entertain the rest
Would you do a Let's Play of Dragon's Dogma 2??????😍
I'd absolutely stream the game once I have my hands on it
@@ThiefofCrystals That's awesome! I can't wait to watch your let's play videos.😍🥰
