It was a part of a 4 and a half hour long video about "The Magicians" books and series and about how books are sold to us can affect how we approach a story.

I very sadly agree and it hurts pretty bad as i LOVED the first one so very very much even if it was a bit ass sometimes it was truly special but the second one..and i tried very very hard but its just not.. that fun tbh. It even tends to be annoying on purpose and i dont understand why either.

Assassin is definitely my power fantasy class. Sure, you can snipe with Ranger too but Assassin basically lets you dish out damage in more varied ways. *Invisibility* - Now you see me, now you don't. Oh hey what's that line on your neck, Mr. Dragon? Don't worry, that's just my Tetanus Dispenser 9000 putting in work. *Gale Harness + Hundred Kisses* - This is basically just the Dagger equivalent of Kenshiro's Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken. It's the most damaging technique alongside... *Dire Gouge* - It is literally the single highest damage attack in the game if you cling onto weak spots. I legit shredded Cursed Dragons in half a minute with this. *Lyncaean Sight* - Sniper Bow is my favorite way of dealing with distant opponents and the fact that it does obscene damage is a plus. *Masterful Kill* - Speaking of slitting throats, who decided it was a good idea to give this thing I-Frames? Sure, ranged counters it but 90% of the enemies are melee! It's busted.

This game is 🔥🔥. i played it for 4 weeks now. Its a lot better than DDDA. You can get up to 3 main pawn so its so fun plus you can use chiwa saito, maaya sakamoto, etc voice on them ❤

I find it interesting how ogres are more challenging than cyclops. Kinda threw me off the first time. I like the attention to detail in this game. Was only 6$ when i bought it but its worth way more.

corona slash suck in basic game , but if you got lucky on the bbi , you may get a ex ring , then corona slash will turn into one of the best skill in game , because ex version get a slash wind of some shit can easily take down a flying dragon 😢

I don’t feel this is the game they wanted it to be, but I also think it’s beautiful for what it is, and it sounds like you just don’t. I get what they’re going for with most of the mechanics that you complained about, even the story. The game definitely feels different and I was also disappointed for a moment however, I realized that I needed to accept it for what it is, and try to enjoy it from their rather than perpetually comparing it to the original and compounding my disappointment. Once I did that I realized that it’s honestly the best Open-World Action RPG I’ve played outside of Elden Ring in a long time. I wish the DD2 community could see this game for what it is rather than what they wanted it to be, but I think at this point we’re destined for the game to fall from the limelight dishonorably only to be rediscovered years later and proclaimed to be a misunderstood, innovative masterpiece, beyond its time. And with that it’s starting to sound an awful lot like how things went with the original.

You are sleeping on (heh) sopor and staff skills. Here's the thing: swapping weapons is instant in DD, so there's no reason not to just be carrying a staff with you always. Putting enemies to sleep is really strong and makes them take more damage, and can be used to set up your slow skills like holy furor or stone forest. Also playing as a warrior mage is pretty fun, you can mix it up in melee more to make spells like brontide actually viable since you aren't quite so squishy, and comestation is also just always nice to have.

If I logged in will I find players in the field like the usual MMO?
