In canon, Darth Vader is way more powerful than Legends Vader via becoming the most powerful Sith to even surpass Sidious ( which up scales Obi-wan since he could have defeated Vader ). Luke who surpassed Vader & Sidious shortly after ep.6, On top of those decades of training, is the most powerful force user in canon & legends.

For those of you asking about Vader. Because he was basically kept alive by his suit, he wasn't nearly as powerful as Anakin was at the time. There can be no doubt that the chosen one would have become the strongest had he listened to Obi One about having the high ground. His arrogance stopped him from becoming all powerful.

I think one of the happiest parts of this video for me is the pure solidification of the Outlander being above Vaylin. Very curious if the consensus of valkorion being below Sidious and Luke after the update holds true though, with the feats of all it took to kill tenebrae

Within it, it's stated multiple times that Palpatine is the most powerfull Sith Lord of all time. Tenebrae is indeed superior in specific abilities like rituals and mind domination, but it doesn't make him more powerfull than Palpatin on a fundamental level.

However, Palpatine's accomplishments of the same magnitude, or greater, were direct extension of his own dark side power, he didn't need external sources to amp himself. Turning Byss into a nexus, mindwiping billions, conjouring planet-killing storms, sustaining the entire Galactic Empire through the force, etc, etc, those are all without any rituals, spells or artifacts. That's the main difference. As for Valkorion not being Sith, it's true, but Valkorion is just an avatar to Tenebrae, who is indeed a Sith, at least officially, rho of course he considers himself something greater. The latter doesn't invalidate his claim to the Sith, in fact he says "I'm a master to all Sith", right before his final death (depending whether you consider EOO Tenebrae the same character, he seems to be a cloned consciousness).

The rankings were determined by a forum-hosted debate tournament. Revan almost ranked #8 or #9, but Windu and Plagueis edged him out with just a slight majority of the vote both times.

Revan should be right below vitiate at least. "Revan WAS power....." He withstood 300 yrs of mind torture from vitiate. Another name missing from the list is Bane. Bane was extremely powerful in his own right.
Luke had the support of so many force spirits, including his father (the chosen one according to Lukas). Is that part of how he became so powerful? Also, I'd like to see a FIFA player ranking stats on their powers as well. That'd be something. Categories like Speed, physical strength, and force abilities from 1-100.
The biggest reason Luke gets so powerful is because he inherits Anakin's potential. In terms of midichlorians/natural talent with the force, Luke is the second coming of the Chosen One. The other element is his personality. Luke is a much, much more disciplined person than Anakin, he pours his heart into his studies. In a scant four years, 23 year old Luke catches up to RotJ Darth Vader, who is _well over twice as powerful_ as Revenge of the Sith Anakin/Undamaged Vader. (After his injuries on Mustafar, Vader loses 60% of his potential, but he becomes immensely focused on making the most of what potential he has left, bathing in the dark side and pushing his strength in the force to its absolute limits) even though 22 year old RoTS Anakin was part of the Jedi Order for 13 years and began his apprenticeship under Obiwan 7 years prior to the film. It is true Luke got an intensive training course with Yoda intended to hone him into a Jedi who could slay Vader and the Emperor, but he only got to participate in 1-2 months of that training before he rushed off to save his friends from their crisis, the rest of his training in the Force was self directed.
Oh, one more thing since we're discussing Legends: Luke eventually learns the philosophy of the Living Force and adopts that in place of the doctrine of Light Side/Dark Side.

I think the only reason Luke was able to overpower Vader is because Vader was so conflicted and he wasn't prepared for Luke to be so powerful when he tapped into the dark side. After all, before Luke was provoked by Vader mentioning Leia, Luke was hiding from Vader, so I'd say Vader is still more powerful at this point. Luke in the Mandalorian was probably as powerful if not more though and in Legends he's way more powerful

Agree with this video! Thank you for saying that Palpatine is stronger than Valkorion. Years of reign and stealing other Force user powers is a cheap shot. Sidious was born and gifted with the Force. Plagueis couldn’t find Sidious in the beginning because of Buried Presence. Tenebrae, although gifted and crafty, was not the top dog in his early years. That was Marka Ragnos. Valkorion was concerned about rule and reign. Palpatine wanted destruction, and is a literal sociopath. Trust the ruler or the psycho? Yes, both Sith were taken down by dead people to die for good. But Palpatine has done so much more in so little time with Alchemy, Sorcery, and other abilities that Valkorion never really used. Valkorion only concern was Force Draining, Mind Control, and Alchemy to support his life. He didn’t want to Force Lightning , use Pyrokinesis, or use Force Storms to destroy worlds, although that was in Valkorion’s capability. Palpatine, although he ruined his chances for eternal life, found an alternative and just killed. Made Luke his lapdog for a while. My opinion. I trust the psycho. Palpatine.

I think that Valkorian has a legitimate argument to be #1, though given that more of his power was revealed after this video I can see why he's placed at 3. I also think that Windu is too high, even though the list isn't just based on raw power. I don't see any path to victory for Windu if he faced Vayln, the Outlander, or Revan
Windu deserves to be on this list but I agree Vayln the Outlander and Revan would beat Windu. I don't think Valkorian is more powerful than legends Sidius or Luke. Legends Luke is literally equal to the force itself and Palp is basically Saitama. Against cannon Sidius or Luke Valkorian would mop the floor with them, even including Disney's take on Sidius.

It's not confirmed whether Palpatine mastered Force Storms after kr before Endor. He started developing that force power already around ROTS, which he mentiones in Book of Sith.

I’ve never even heard of some of these characters, it’s hard to follow the logic of this aswell since some characters are described in a sense that would make them more powerful than most characters in the more famous books/movies, almost to the point where they don’t seem to be from the same universe :/ I don’t know what to say about that but ye... It kind of goes against a lot of logics in Star Wars and makes everything a lot more complicated. I would like a list of the more recent warriors like where some of the strongest like Obi Wan who was widely known as possibly being THE best swordsman among the current Jedi, and General Grievous who murdered dozens of Jedi and possessed immense strength, only to be defeated by Soviet Wan when in a weakened state...

To stay alive Tenebrae required what are effectively Horcruxes, as opposed to Palpatine simply escaped the Netherworld of the Force (hell) to inhabit a new body on multiple occasions, something that we have never seen any other character do, and only being held back by every Jedi to ever exist (many of which he had killed via Order 66, which serves as incredible poetic justice). To summarize, Palpatine's spirit was fully capable of escaping Hell and effectively withstanding the spirits of every Jedi ever, whereas Tenebrae's spirit, while capable of consuming Ziost, was taxed by containing Revan (just one if the Jedi who would be resisting Palpatine), failed to control Vaylin, and was excised from the Outlanders mind by only four force users (five if you don't release Dramath, but still only four at once) and it only takes about 20 to defeat him permanently (presumably) in Echoes of Oblivion.

One of the biggest Mary-Sue characters ever written. When will writers learn that writing a strong female character, doesn’t at all just mean making them over pleasures and flawless. Yeah, he scales massively above the likes of Exar Kun, and his fight against the Republic/Sith strike team is very impressive. Because he is was not a Sith or Jedi during his prime, he exists out side of Sith/Jedi supremacy quotes and scaling chains and does not get capped by them.

In the comics/legends timeline Palpatine also comes back to life? I hope that his explanation for how he came back is actually good because he fell down a hole and exploded in Return of the Jedi so it would be extremely difficult to justify him coming back.
After dying in Return of the Jedi, Palpatine's soul got sent to Chaos (the hell of Star Wars). However, Palpatine's soul "clawed his way" out of Chaos, returned to the physical galaxy, and then eventually transfered into a vacant clone replica body. Palpatine had spent the past several decades creating clones and mastering the art of essence transfer to pull this off. It's noted that a smear of Palpatine's soul remained above Endor. That lost part of him likely contributed to his resurrected self's madness. His closest servant Mara Jade didn't believe the resurrected Palpatine was truly Palpatine but rather a clone gone mad with a remnant of Palpatine's consciousness. Regardless, the resurrected Palpatine was incredibly powerful.

For those of you asking about Vader. Because he was basically kept alive by his suit, he wasn't nearly as powerful as Anakin was at the time. Turning Byss into a nexus, mindwiping billions, conjouring planet-killing storms, sustaining the entire Galactic Empire through the force, etc, etc, those are all without any rituals, spells or artifacts. That's the main difference. As for Valkorion not being Sith, it's true, but Valkorion is just an avatar to Tenebrae, who is indeed a Sith, at least officially, rho of course he considers himself something greater. The latter doesn't invalidate his claim to the Sith, in fact he says "I'm a master to all Sith", right before his final death (depending whether you consider EOO Tenebrae the same character, he seems to be a cloned consciousness).

Luke had the support of so many force spirits, including his father (the chosen one according to Lukas). Is that part of how he became so powerful? Also, I'd like to see a FIFA player ranking stats on their powers as well. That'd be something. Categories like Speed, physical strength, and force abilities from 1-100.
The biggest reason Luke gets so powerful is because he inherits Anakin's potential.
In terms of midichlorians/natural talent with the force, Luke is the second coming of the Chosen One.
The other element is his personality. Luke is a much, much more disciplined person than Anakin, he pours his heart into his studies. In a scant four years, 23 year old Luke catches up to RotJ Darth Vader, who is _well over twice as powerful_ as Revenge of the Sith Anakin/Undamaged Vader. (After his injuries on Mustafar, Vader loses 60% of his potential, but he becomes immensely focused on making the most of what potential he has left, bathing in the dark side and pushing his strength in the force to its absolute limits) even though 22 year old RoTS Anakin was part of the Jedi Order for 13 years and began his apprenticeship under Obiwan 7 years prior to the film.
It is true Luke got an intensive training course with Yoda intended to hone him into a Jedi who could slay Vader and the Emperor, but he only got to participate in 1-2 months of that training before he rushed off to save his friends from their crisis, the rest of his training in the Force was self directed.
Oh, one more thing since we're discussing Legends: Luke eventually learns the philosophy of the Living Force and adopts that in place of the doctrine of Light Side/Dark Side.

I think the only reason Luke was able to overpower Vader is because Vader was so conflicted and he wasn't prepared for Luke to be so powerful when he tapped into the dark side. After all, before Luke was provoked by Vader mentioning Leia, Luke was hiding from Vader, so I'd say Vader is still more powerful at this point. Luke in the Mandalorian was probably as powerful if not more though and in Legends he's way more powerful

Thank you for saying that Palpatine is stronger than Valkorion. Years of reign and stealing other Force user powers is a cheap shot. Sidious was born and gifted with the Force. Plagueis couldn’t find Sidious in the beginning because of Buried Presence. Tenebrae, although gifted and crafty, was not the top dog in his early years. That was Marka Ragnos.
Valkorion was concerned about rule and reign. Palpatine wanted destruction, and is a literal sociopath. Trust the ruler or the psycho?
Yes, both Sith were taken down by dead people to die for good. But Palpatine has done so much more in so little time with Alchemy, Sorcery, and other abilities that Valkorion never really used. Valkorion only concern was Force Draining, Mind Control, and Alchemy to support his life. He didn’t want to Force Lightning , use Pyrokinesis, or use Force Storms to destroy worlds, although that was in Valkorion’s capability. Palpatine, although he ruined his chances for eternal life, found an alternative and just killed. Made Luke his lapdog for a while.

I’ve never even heard of some of these characters, it’s hard to follow the logic of this aswell since some characters are described in a sense that would make them more powerful than most characters in the more famous books/movies, almost to the point where they don’t seem to be from the same universe :/ I don’t know what to say about that but ye... To stay alive Tenebrae required what are effectively Horcruxes, as opposed to Palpatine simply escaped the Netherworld of the Force (hell) to inhabit a new body on multiple occasions, something that we have never seen any other character do, and only being held back by every Jedi to ever exist (many of which he had killed via Order 66, which serves as incredible poetic justice). To summarize, Palpatine's spirit was fully capable of escaping Hell and effectively withstanding the spirits of every Jedi ever, whereas Tenebrae's spirit, while capable of consuming Ziost, was taxed by containing Revan (just one if the Jedi who would be resisting Palpatine), failed to control Vaylin, and was excised from the Outlanders mind by only four force users (five if you don't release Dramath, but still only four at once) and it only takes about 20 to defeat him permanently (presumably) in Echoes of Oblivion.

Yeah, he scales massively above the likes of Exar Kun, and his fight against the Republic/Sith strike team is very impressive. Because he is was not a Sith or Jedi during his prime, he exists out side of Sith/Jedi supremacy quotes and scaling chains and does not get capped by them.

He still had to actually try against vader which bumps him down a shit ton in actual power. Plus the star destroyer feat is RIDICULOUSLY OVERRATED, and at max reaches only 1 teraton in power. Meanwhile the average jedi knight can hold together an ENTIRE PLANET. If anything starkiller struggling against a star destroyer is like padawan level in legends.
Edit1:ontop of that starkiller was bloodlusted and enraged which there is a 99% of a chance boosted him. So if he was not darkside boosted, he may have actually been equal to, maybe even lost to a new hope vader which is really bad 💀

In the comics/legends timeline Palpatine also comes back to life? I hope that his explanation for how he came back is actually good because he fell down a hole and exploded in Return of the Jedi so it would be extremely difficult to justify him coming back.
After dying in Return of the Jedi, Palpatine's soul got sent to Chaos (the hell of Star Wars). However, Palpatine's soul "clawed his way" out of Chaos, returned to the physical galaxy, and then eventually transfered into a vacant clone replica body. Palpatine had spent the past several decades creating clones and mastering the art of essence transfer to pull this off.
It's noted that a smear of Palpatine's soul remained above Endor. That lost part of him likely contributed to his resurrected self's madness. His closest servant Mara Jade didn't believe the resurrected Palpatine was truly Palpatine but rather a clone gone mad with a remnant of Palpatine's consciousness. Regardless, the resurrected Palpatine was incredibly powerful.
