- On a mighty fine Friday afternoon I return to the surfaced area for more Ironstone gold. I'm back at the area where I have been finding unique ironstone gold specimens, so on this glorious sunny winter's day, can I get back on the gold.

Thanks for the reminder of what blue Sky's look like, I hope it's headed towards Gippsland. Just like fishing, there either biting or there not, but you've still got to get out there and give it a shot, you hooked a couple of nice one's, and next time, with a bit of luck, you might get on to a good sized snapper or a school, re bait and hook another! Always blue sky in Central Vic, it all changes once you hit Kyneton. Although it's raining at the moment. The weather is going to be good on the weekend, so I'll have a crack at getting that big one, well fingers crossed. Cheers mate

Exceptionally good skies, lungfuls of fresh air, a spot of bushwalking, curious geology, and gold! Bloody satisfied I'd say, Pete! And good discussion per etiquette, and positioning, no holding folded cards, you can deduce that applies a number of ways, you're definitely not a card, probably wouldn't accept the gift of a guitar on a crossroad! 😂 🎸🤘👿

It was a great day for prospecting or bush walking. It's a very different area, finding ironstone specie gold isn't as common, so that's pretty cool. I find you have to give people there space, I find it a bit rude if someone pulls up right beside you, there's plenty of ground out there. Cheers mate

I like a good bush walk that involves digging up gold. Not every adventure can result in gold, but we can hope and if we are lucky enough we might just walk over some. Your creek should be flowing after this rain, so get out there mate and try your luck, you never know what that next shovel could bring to light. Cheers

That target sounded great, but in the end it just moved around after balancing, so that suggests mineralised ground, worth a check though. All good in the end, the weather was great and some gold showed came to light. Cheers mate

Nice looking ground Pete - maybe a few sluggers at depth
It's different, I remember going there years ago and didn't really like it, to much ironstone and not enough quartz, but the golds there so that's the best indicator. Cheers mate
Great arvo. To put it prospective at current gold prices that’s about $36. That’s half a dozen and a pizza. Awesome.

Great video 👍, that's the same looking rock I brought home acouple of days ago, thinking it had a good target, only just to be crap, not even dust after crushing.

Still some good weather here and there. Definitely campfire weather if you were to be camping though.
It's been dry really, getting a bit of rain now, but it will be gone by the weekend. We'll be out camping soon enough mate, I'm about to drop the Subs Day date, so I'll let you know. Cheers mate

You could be right there, plenty of rocks getting in the way, it would help getting on the ground and also mix up the coils, future episode maybe. Cheers Ian

Not a bad arvo. What scales are you using? They look a little more precise than my smoke shop specials

@@PetesGoldAdventures I'm guessing that weight is to recalibrate? That's already worth it knowing how scales work.
@frenchys_prospecting that's it, I think it's 50 grams, so if it's off you just recalibrate and your good to go.
So how does it work ?
You avoid areas when people are about , because they may see you find gold and then they will dig up the whole area nd leave you nothing ?
I don't like pooping with company is my reasoning
Finding gold areas with a detector is much different than working a creek, trying to find a detectable patch can be rare and you generally don't want to give them away. I've had areas smashed and trashed by other, a down side to TH-cam, but as people know I have shared several areas with others to put them on the gold. Cheers Mo
I've found in the past that you don't share an area you don't want smashed, gold can do strange things to people, and I'm sure a lot would agree. Cheers mate
