Just got a tumbler for my birthday. Feaux sea glass will be my first project. (We don't see any natural sea glass on the Alberta, Canada prairies. 😉lol) I found your video very well done, easy to watch & so helpful.

We have a place close to the beach. I love picking up sea glass. I asked for a double tumbler for Christmas a few yrs ago. My husband thought I was nuts but he got me one and I love it! I’m lucky that I have a nephew that works for a liquor distributor. I can get wine bottles any time a need some. As a side note if you go to any restaurant or bar and ask if they have any wine or liquor bottles you can have. Or just dumpster dive for them.

We are both very fortunate to live close to beaches. I’m definitely a beach girl. Lol. Sounds like you are having lots of fun making beach glass and have some great resources and finding the real beach glass on the beach too!

Hi in NYC! Yes, And the longer you let then tumble the smoother they will get.

I'm surprised that you were able to put so much in, that does make it so much better that you can do so many pieces in one batch. Thank you from Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺

Hello in Perth! I have been to Perth back in the 70’s! You can buy 2 barrel rock polishing machines if you really want to do big batches.

Very long process with beautiful results ☺️ how much would a tumbler cost approximately?

Could you then tumble with a polish to turn them back shinny? If you only want the edges softened, let's say

Yes, for sure. Being that I was going to coat them with a varnish I didn’t do the next two stages of a usual rock tumbler.

Please save yourself and your house from burning down by reading and following the safety instructions in the manual that came with your tumbler. I've seen too many shortages with rotary machines to place them in a cardboard box. Great video though!
