So refreshing to see something original and NOT made from Dollar Tree items!! Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
couldn’t anything. i have no idea what your art looked like.
thank you lady for trashing many crafters that use dollar tree. what happen to being nice. karen you are the winner
Maybe the settings on your device?
If you have any corkscrews from your wine you could use those also. Cut them in half for the trunks.
Yes! great idea!
That's what I was going to suggest
I am a beginner in resin work, and have only just found this video. I love your trees, they inspire me to try the same. My over-full brain might just explode with all you very talented artists work!!
You can do it! ❤️
I enjoyed watching your process
So refreshing to see something different! So inspiring. My brain is reeling on ideas! Thanks for making this video. Brilliant idea and beautiful items!❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Give it a try!
@@ACoastalMagnolia I totally plan to try it!
I used to work in the auto sales industry, and I saw a broken windshield that broke into little, gem-like pieces. I’d love to try this sort of thing with some of that, as well as insertions of other items.
Yes! They are like little gems! I love it.
Oh yes. I collected some for doing art. I had forgotten about that. Now I need to go get some! Thanks for the reminder!❤
I like them better without the beads!!🌟
They are still beautiful!!🎄. Great idea!!
I love the star fish toppers, though!
Unusual and beautiful! I love that you are using different materials.
I love the palms. They are beautiful
All of then are awesome
Love this idea
I love the palm trees.
So glad to have found you! Thank you for sharing your talents. I love your vibe❤😂
Thank you so much!!
Absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed watching you creating remarkable art!❤️🙏🏽❤️
Thank you so much 😊
These are fabulous! Love them all. I am sure that you will see each and every one.
I hope so!
Well this video was a pleasant surprise for many reasons. I will definitely be giving these a try. Well done video!! Many thanks for sharing
❤️❤️❤️
I love these beach inspired trees. Perhaps if I start saving now I’ll have enough glass next Christmas.
oh I'll be doing these for next year's gifts
I spend alot of time in Florida and since I'm retired and have g daughters there prefect helpers and good quality time
you are very inspirational and love it being unique
Merry Christmas and thx
Merry Christmas!
I love these. They are beautiful ❤
These are beautiful!! So creative. If I had one, I'd keep it out all year long.❤
Thank you! 😊
these are really nice. thanks for the tutorial
You’re welcome 😊
I love this idea! I just started making glass crafts and I wasn’t sure what to do with all the spare glass, you solved my dilemma thank you so much!
Glad I could help, lol. Have fun!
An idea for you to try. Use metal cookie cutters to pour the glass into and shape the glass. Carefully remove the cutter and pour on your Mod Podge.
Thanks for the tip!!!
I’ve been collecting sea glass for years and have jars full of it. I think it would be perfect for this. I think it’s prettier without the added beads. I love the idea. Thank you for sharing. They are beautiful.
That's a great idea! Good luck, and share a picture!
Thank you for sharing this tutorial.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for sharing these, I'm going to get busy and make a few, loved them all
Have fun!
Those Glass trees are amazing, Thank You for sharing this... im looking forward to making myself one.... cute cute cute 😍
Thank you! 😊 Good luck!
You did a very good job!!! I love your personality! And authentic approach to your art! Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you so much!
I have never seen these before. They are really pretty. I especially like the palm trees.
thank you!
Impressive.
So inspiring, I hope to try these and even different styles. I really like your idea.
Have fun!
Beautiful thanks for sharing....
Absolutely beautiful! You are super talented!
Thank you! Cheers!
Just a one small comment, why not put a layer of mod podge below the trees to secure them to the wood better? You could lay it down in the shape you want the tree to end-up. Someone could have already mentioned this as I did not read all the comments.
The resin really does work very well!
They ARE very cute!
Oh man,I got a booger in there! 😂 these are beautiful! What a wonderful way to recycle.
Lol. I hate when that happens!
I was thinking the very same thing
Thank you for this inspiration. Now I'll save glass bottles!
I have a LOT of sea glass which I’ve gathered and was just waiting on inspiration on what to do with it. Not suitable for jewellery but a project similar to this would be absolutely perfect! Thanks for sharing your technique and thanks for the inspiration to finally do something with it!! ❤️😊👍
YES!!! What a great way to display it. I have loads of sea glass too, displayed in jars. So pretty! Good luck!
We haven't found much seaglass over past few years on coast by Sarasota.
what a bummer
@@patcusick8322 I've never found any sea glass on the west coast .. I have tons of seashells, and look forward to using them as material! Love your work.. please be careful breathing the resin!
Really unusual and creative! I love sea glass and these are truly one of a kind. Thanks for sharing your talent.
One safety hint: I think you should be wearing a mask when working with broken glass. Glass dust can cause something called white lung (much like black lung from coal dust) but even breathing in tiny amounts can cause damage.
I agree. Santa is bringing me a new respirator!
Thank you so much these are so cute.
Glad you like them!
You did a great job. I loved all of it. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
I just found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing. These are beautiful.
Thank you so much!
thank you, absolutely love this!
Glad you like it!
you are super creative!! love this project!
Thank you! Cheers!
Well you sold me ❤ love them I’m a Florida girl and Palm tree is right up my alley 🤩❤️💋
love all of them !!
Thanks for posting! I have been looking for a new way to recycle glass. This looks fun and doable. You inspired me and you did a good job. Enjoyed your relaxed personality and approach to things. Cheers, from NE Fla.
You are so welcome! Good luck with it. it’s so fun!
Love these! Can’t wait to try and make, would love to see one with shells. I did a lot of beach combing when I lived in FL for a few years and still have many shells that I would like to use in projects such as this!!
Thanks for sharing this technique!! I’m subscribed and will watch more.
Awesome! Thank you!
I loved your video and the Christmas trees!🎄
Yay! Thank you!
Love it! Great idea
Wow 😮 I just came across your u tube video am so glad I stayed til the end,all of them are beautiful I will keep watching to see what you do next thank you for sharing your telent with us 😊hugs from California ❤
Thank you so much!
First time watcher. These are awesome. I have jars full of crushed glass, also beach glass. I will definitely try these Christmas trees. Really enjoyed this video, will be subscribing. Thanks Leta from Canada
Thanks, Leta! ❤️❤️❤️
I am amazed at what people will buy.
It may not suit everyone’s style, but that’s why it’s great to have so many vendors at an art show, so you can buy what suits you! Thanks for the feedback.
Love these
thanks so much!
Wow thanks for an amazing tutorial fabulous up cycling. 2 new crafty friends here. Happy Crafting from Scotland.x
Thank you !
What a fab idea, really cool 👌👌👌
Thanks a lot 😊
You get way more out of your grog bottles! I just get hungover 😊 they are beautiful!❤
lol, thank you! They are fun to empty out!
Absolutely beautiful💕👍💯
Thank you! Cheers!
I have a ton of stained glass that I would love to use for something like this - thanks so much for the idea!
You are so welcome!
I've been making flowers from seashells with beach glass in the background, just sold my first piece and commissioned another! with your idea I can make more since I'm not restricted by beach finds that are sparse. Thank you so much!
Sounds great! Congrats!,,
What is the blue light you are using? Also what does it do. Missed it.
it’s a UV light for curing this resin.
These are really great! There is no way I'm going to make these but i would buy 1 or 2. They would make nice gifts.
You could totally do this! I need to find a way to interface a sales site on You Tube. I have done Etsy in the past but not fond of their changes.
I live on the Scottish seacoast and the sea glass and shells are everywhere. Great DIY to try.
I am so jealous! We have sea glass occasionally, it not a lot. When we cruise, the islands we go to have loads of it, so I always bring bags of it back on the cruise ship with me! Makes interesting conversation with security staff!
Great video thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching!
This was a great DIY video thank you! Congrats on selling out too!
Thanks so much!!
After seeing this video it has inspired me to have one of my own or do other things with glass. I am happy you sold out! Lots of thought and preparation! Sometimes we don’t understand all the love and work that goes into a piece of art!
I love, love, love what you created! Sure wish I knew someone with an old fence! They are perfect for so many projects. I may have to get creative and contact some landscapers and handymen!
That’s a great idea! You could also use pallets.
❤ beautiful!!!
First time watching a video of yours. I very much enjoyed it. You do a good job of explaining.
Edit: subbed
Awesome, thank you!
One glass artist to another 👍 FUN
thanks!
Take your time with your videos, if I end up watching for another 20 minutes it is time well spent. I love this. X-mas tree idea. Going to start collecting glass. I need to look and see if you have a video on the best way to crush it. Thank you so much for sharing!
I am working on that video! I have tried so many ways to crush the glass safely, and the simplest way is the best way! I’ll have it up shortly.
Beautiful 🌴🌲🎄
Thank you! 😊
U did good Thanks!
thank you
Such an interesting video! I’m really going to have to drink more wine! 🍷🍷🍷
lol cheers!
Really enjoyed this craft. It’s beautiful! I had to turn on the closed caption to understand some of what you were saying because your voice was a little lower at times. I also loved the beads on the trees (except the ones with the hole showing on the top) Congratulations on your success with your craft. Can’t imagine anyone not loving your sparkly trees❤
hi, I’m so sorry! I sometimes forget to speak up, and sometimes forget to speak at all!
Have you tried using the rice lites with this? Would take a lil more effort by counter sinking the on/off /battery piece on the back with a spade bit and drill a hole through to feed the lite string through and shape the wire lites in the tree form and then do all your glass tree steps. Be cool if theyd lite up :)
omg that sounds amazing! there was a vendor at a recent show that made GORGEOUS glass and resin trees, and hers had lights. they were beautiful
I love that idea , yes
What are Rice lights?
I think she meant to say wire lights. Autocorrect might have changed it.
@@ACoastalMagnoliaShe meant rice lights. They’re very tiny, and beautiful.😊
lovely!
thank you!
I would use mini lights tacked to the board too. Beautiful!
great idea!
These are so pretty
thank you!😘
Awesome ideas, will give it a try.l guess you can use your imagination and do a lot different things if you you set your mind to it.
you sure can!
Love it!
Thanks!!
Love it!!
Thank you!!
Very cool ideas 👍🌲🎄
Thank you! 😊
I see more of your walls then I do of the product your making
Thanks for the feedback. It’s a learning process.
Great job❤.
Thank you! 😊
I can see why these sold out! They are really pretty! This is my first time catching your channel! I really enjoyed it!
Thank you so much! Welcome to the family!
Love love
thank you!
Love❤
Have you ever thought of drilling a small hole in the back through to the front to string of small strand of l e d battery power of lights into it, so it can be lit from the back. You could then reset some hole into the back that the battery pack would fit into
Great idea!
Hi new subscriber! These came out beautiful 😍 🎄
Thanks so much! 😊
Your commentary is hilarious too!
got have some fun!
Ohhhhh myyyyy goodness! These are amazingly beautiful 😍 Now I’ll have to drink colorful bottled wine-;) oh, darn🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
it’s a good problem to have!
Be brave! You can do it!!
For summer that would make beautiful mermaid tails, Jesus fish, or even Pumpkins for fall with the amber and red glass out there
That’s an awesome idea!!!
Your trees are beautiful .... just subscribed. 🌲🌴🌲🌴🌲🌴🌲
Thanks and welcome
Have you thought of adding wire lights to the wood before the sea glass? You could put the battery pack behind and add a piece of wood to bottom as a stand. The glow would be pretty and everyone likes things that light up. I’m going to noodle on this one.
Yes I have! it’s on my list!
You use theA&B kind I’m gonna use UV and a light. Hope that doesn’t make too big of a difference but I want a palm tree next weekend and I’m gonna get the supplies this week. I have most of it sand shells the clear white glass and the pebbles they sell at the dollar tree, and UV and light !you have inspired me I’m on the hunt for wood
UV would definitely work! Look for a discarded pallet.
If you don't like using resin, you could paint the tree with a product called Triple Thick.😊
thanks for the tip!
What is triple Thick please?
@@MA-ts9qt It's a brush on gloss glaze which dries clear and is made by DecoArt and comes in different sizes. Available at most craft shops.🤗😋
Excuse my ignorance but what method do you use re crushing up glass and what type of glass do you use please And also what brand type of resin I live in NewZealand and love your creativity
Judy, I was not the person doing the crushed glass video. I just explained what Triple Thick was. Spotlight did have some crushed glass and Pete's Emporium stock smaller packs of resin/$20. They also stock the Triple Thick. Good luck! 🤗
I love this. You do great work. They are beautiful. Where do you get your drift wood? I love drift wood. Your video was fine. Dont let anyone discourage you. You did great explaining everything. 😊
Aw, thank you! I live at the beach, so I find driftwood on my walks. I don’t find it all the time, but it’s plentiful when we get storms. Give this a try! You can use other things other than glass or driftwood too. In fact, I am going to make some trees with just sand and shells!
@ACoastalMagnolia I can't wait to see your video of the sand and shells..Your so talented.
I love your work! Do you have an event calendar? I live in Florida and would like to see your work in person!!! Can't wait to try some glass crafts! Bravo!!!
I’ll be at Cocoa Village this weekend, BREVARD Ave., booth 438. It’s a huge art and craft show on the streets of historic Cocoa. Come see me!
Do you have a video on how you get the wood jagged? Congratulations on selling out your show!
aww, thanks! believe it or not, the wood comes this way. These are old fence boards that I kept when we replaced our back fence.
Beautiful ❤️ please consider using some alternative to resin, or even some of the resins made with mica or tree resins that are biodegradable. If you are using natural resin great, if not please consider it.
Would biodegradable work well if hung outside in the weather - consider up north?
I would put a layer of modge podge on the bottom first to help them stick.
Thanks for sharing. Very unique. I was wondering how you smash all the glass?
I have a steamroller! No, really, it’s much more simple than that. Here is a quick video.
th-cam.com/video/cvs0vqELtzI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=l6OaXUwH3kAOG5KL
Very cool project! What I couldn't stand was the squeeky fast-forward sound that was at the end of the video. Maybe not put that sound in, in the future? Wow! The resin trees are wonderful!
sorry about that! I should have lowered the volume on the background noise!
