I noticed on initial contact you use your full call sign Skyhawk 121 Alpha Zulu but ATC responds with a shorter version Skyhawk 1 Alpha Zulu and the you also respond with the shorter version. Is this normal?
Yes.. according to the FAA, you must use your full callsign, unless or until the ATC controller you are talking to shortens it when talking to you, in which case you can refer to yourself with the shortened version.. This "resets" every time you talk to a different controller.
I am a paid subscriber, why is there a noticeable delay between my call and the return call from ATC...but you have practically none. Is there a problem on my end?
I've tried to keep the video as short as possible and trimmed out a LOT to keep it that way. The delay is, In short, because the amount of processing going on behind the scenes is significant. We are, of course, keenly aware of this and working to get this shorter in any ways we can. We also fully expect that this tech will naturally become faster in the near future. That said, a delay when communicating with ATC is not only pretty common -- it's extremely realistic. VFR pilots often take a back-seat for controller workload, and delays of even up to a minute while speaking to a real air traffic controller aren't unheard of. Even still, I suspect we'll have the response to less than half what it is now within the next 6 months.
@@SayIntentionsAI I am a IRL pilot so well aware of the delay in real life...just wanted to make sure I didn't have a setting wrong, or other problem on my end. A delay to half what it is would be perfect. Loving your product so far...and looking forward to it getting better. Thanks.
This is focussed on General Aviation and VFR. It will likely be a long time before we decide to support commercial IFR. (Most commercial IFR sim pilots are extremely price sensitive, which isn't a good match for a cutting edge AI stack).

You are giving correct readbacks and atc giving correct reply, but what happens if you don't give the correct readback?
You'll be corrected.. Just like in the real world.

From what I know, IFR Flights have been added to SayIntentions, however it is far from complete
Will there be video of an IFR flight in an airliner?

@@SayIntentionsAI Aw dang that sucks. But thanks for letting me know.
We need ifr no body vfr
How do you get your callsign?
You can set your callsign and tail number inside the app when it starts up.
