Thanks for your impression of Rhino 2020. I redesigned it because I couldn't get the original Rhino to be IFRA compliant, but another reason was that the original had a flaw that bothered me a lot - the top notes were super short lived and I felt that the scent transition from top to base was too abrupt. I think the reason why you didn't enjoy Rhino 2020 was probably it's too strong at 20%. When I first smelled it it wasn't so strong, but as it macerates, it becomes stronger. I was showing this scent to customer today and I thought, damn, it's strong.

It always works out that way.... to be fair I love discontinued fragrances ... if you have any old stock I would love to smell thr 2014 version Victor 🙏🙏
When my nose is stuffed, this scent really open things up 🤭 yes I bought the full bottle and I like it!

Good call on waiting ... this would be a no go if you have the same taste as me as far as leather & boozy frags.
The notes seem amazing! But something is missing is the best way I can put it ... just my opinion 🤷♂️
I get what you say, all 3 Zoos made by Prin Lomros have that signature of his. Sloth is even more weird than Rhino 2020. I love them though, but I'm just bias haha

Don't wait for warmer weather to wear Squid. It does magic over the winter since it's sweet amber with incense.

I'd agree with you in that Rhino 2020 is much a Prin perfume (green, spicy, animalic and weird lol), I didn't get much booze at all tbh, but it was a short test I gave to it. I think the 2014 version (Paul Kiler) would be much more up your alley: leathery, green but in a mossy way, complex and heavy on the base notes as Victor stated. I wasn't a fan either but I'm very picky with artisanal/indie perfumers (sorry! 😅)
Yes I know what you mean! Sometimes I feel like I should stick to the vintage relam... but i love discovering and putting my ideas on a fragrance out there so I am torn 😂😂😂
OK, I have the original Beaver, and I think I still have the original Rhinocerous.
I have a couple, well more than a couple other works, Ensar No 1 original, etc, that I can box up.
When, how about just after the new year.
Oh, just picked up Fate Man, a 1.7 for just under the franklin. Very happy.
I see them around going cheap, sooo,
Derby, Great Britian, Le Lion, and that Antique Patchouli one, if that's fair.
That is way to kind of you... thank you my friend....great buy on the fate man..i love that stuff even though some people call it a cumin bomb... i think it is much more complex in its dry down than people give it credit for 😁

The 2014 smelled like leather under the sun! I liked it, it reminded me of all the rhinos that was still around here, when i was a kid. It captured for me the first encounter u can have with a real rhino in the wild! U can't have top notes lingering for long to represent a rhino, the sun and the dry weather do not allow lingering top notes! I really loved it!

Thanks for that Double Duck... i have never smelled the original bat (or any bat for that matter 🦇) but I will put it on the to sniff list list ✍️
My thoughts on Portrait of a Lady is that it is an amazing fragrance... But Les Abstraits La Douleur Exquise does that spicy Animalic Rose Patchouli better for me because of the brilliant castoreum note in La Douleur Exquise ... but thats just my personal opinion🤷♂️🌹

@@RamseytheRam the original bat won awards before, and is now called night flyer in this ugly bottle (i think the perfumer of the og bat had a beef w the zoologist head, so she removed her version from the line and put it in her own bottle), the current zoologist bat isn't as unique. Def give og bat (night flyer by olympic orchids) a go, it will amaze you based off of my knowledge of your taste ;)

Got a 5ml of the Night Flyer... I sprayed it yesterday and my Tee still smells like the bottom of a wet cave, like moist dirt and some squished bananas 😁
I’m a big fan of Prin (I have the samples of most if not all the frag of Prin, parfume prissana and strangers parfumerie). Have to sample this stuff. Remember not been a fan of the former formulation of Rhinoceros. I can send you the original sample of Rhinoceros 2014. Let me know.

Haven't smelled this versin yet. It's been hard to get a decant so far. but wil do for sure. The 2014 though, LOVE it. Wish i picked up a bottle earlier before it were gone. Regret it tbh! It was so uniquely challenging yet beautifully artistic scent! And that lavender, i think played some important part in the 2014 one, feels like...

Its a shame that this gets compared a lot to 2014 rhyno instead of others Prin fragrances, i think for the price/ml and overall ots a very wearable complex Prin
