The secret to not dying in Final Destination appears to be having your death occur in anything that can be Content Id'd by TH-cam. The unstoppable force finally met the immovable object.
The worst part is that Death is not only persistent, but also has a sense of humor. I just realized that Death is basically a senior NCO in the military who's chasing down junior enlisted personnel who are running away from the inevitable punishment, getting the NCO pissed off and giving them time to formulate a fitting punishment.
I think the most interesting version of desth is from Dead Like Me, where death is just another poor soul that happened tobget the job, "congratulations, you were their 100th soul, your reward is you take their place as death, enjoy your undeath on earth"
It also has those weird gremlin things that do the Rube Goldberg deaths. The reapers are a bit more of a Phsycopomp role, easing the transition of the soul both before and after death.
19:49 that is actually called road hauling, and that scene was a reference to the murder of Emmit Till. It's the type of thing that makes me think that sherman had too much restraint, and I can see why Karl would avoid talking about it in a video that isn't supposed to depress you.
Karl, if you look at these, read a book called "On a Pale Horse" by Piers Anthony. It takes on the idea of personifying death by making death a job occupied by a person. Its a good story
Death from Diskworld is my favorite personification. what other death has a child, grand child, been a fry cook, was fired and killed his successor, and subsatuted for Santa
26:54 this is the rumored plot of the new Final destination bloodlines film where someone who survived death went on to have a large family and death decides to kill them all generations later in the modern day
15:00 well I like how the second movie connected to the first movie with it being implied that all the people that died in her vision on the highway crash or all people that survived whatever death they were going to have due to the craziness of flight 180
In the short film 'Death and the Winemaker' Death is trapped for many years and when she is released she unsleashes a plage on everyone who has outlived their life and those who were never supposed to be born.
3:41 guessing that was a childish copyright strike? Even though you're promoting their film.... I will illegally download one and watch it out of spite.
my question is if the premonition’s actually came true and everyone did die would start an event. Still take place like the the fire in the theater that was prevented by the main character of the fourth movie. Would it have still happened or would the kid from the Second movie have still died just in a different way if Rory wasn’t there to save him?
All take final destination over the saw series. Both have rather unique kills but saw feels like something you would find on the dark web, while final destination feels like a comedy sketch of real life. In my case I feel like dark and edgy can only last so long, while sillyness has a long life span.
14:14 I think there's only been two or three people to survive against death in the final destination series 3 if we're counting the books because William bloodworth Tony Todd's character in the books were given more of his backstory and he's a former survivor I think of a accident and somehow escape death and is design but for going by the cannon of the movies I'm pretty sure the black guy from final destination 6 or the final destination whatever movie it was the last one that came out I think he survived when he accidentally killed his racist co-worker I'm not sure I can't remember but I'm pretty sure he survived and took his place or something plus the girl in number two she survived in the end we never heard about her dying after that so as far as we know her and the cop survived
I don't think there are many who would disagree, death is a petty bitch in those movies who wants you to suffer for avoiding an already horrific death, that you didn't even know for sure was going to happen. In response to Lucas's infinite life glitch question, if you ended a lot of people all at once, you would only gain the life span of the one who was meant to live the longest, as I imagine it kinda like the loading bar to a video, if you play two 15 minute videos and a 30 minute video all at once you don't get an hour long video. The real question is, do they stack at all, as it could be once you've done it you're essentially repairing to broken ends by tying them together, but once you do your death is set, you can't just chain it together by periodically hunting young people every year or so.
I have the head canon that the premonitions are created by Death because it’s bored and want to challenge itself. Also, the idea for the movie was originally a script for an X Files episode, so the music at the end was a perfect way to close this Wiki Weekend
"Having all the time" and "Being very banal about it" do clash a bit. As, if deaf is *very* testy about someone having "their time", it is a bit weird it can then wait months.
And of course, fun fct about the final destination franchise and how it begins with the visions of the air disaster; it was inspired by a classic black and white twilight zone episode
The (short lived I think) UK tv show Mulberry, where the main character is the son of Death and Springtime. He fell off a cliff in one episode and was lying in the morgue until his dad opened the drawer and scolded, "Get out of there, idiot. You're not dead."
I like the theory u gave, that it was death just trying something new to entertain itself. What if death is the one sending the visions in the first place, like mmmmmm this group of people needs to die today but lets see if we can make this a bit more interesting, how about i give one of them a heads up let's see if they will believe him/her and I get to come up with interesting ways and tricks to get them all if they survive.
Final Destination 5 caused Final Destination 1 which caused Final Destination 2... Death kinda sucks at his job of maintaining his own design. 3 movies to kill a group and then fix his own screw ups
For context, people who have a sound sensitivity due to ptsd/abuse have a problem with the thumping because it triggers a fear/trauma response regardless of intention. Reducing how many times a large bass filled thump occurs would show a portion of your audience a great consideration. We didn't ask to be traumatized by sound. We just want to enjoy your content, too.
They were in there and got copyright struck, after multiple re-edits and re-uploads to try and get around it, we just let TH-cam edit them out in the end. - Lucas
Final Destination gave an entire generation a fear of log carrying trucks
Yep, just recently passed one as quick as possible 2 lanes over😅
Na for me it was Planes and rollercoasters lol
You can always tell how old the driver of a car is if they’re pulled up to the log truck or not
💯
It is our version of sharks. Both are rare but fear of the 1 percent dominates it.

Nah, Death is known to kill people then in the novels. Sex toy accidents to heart attacks.
As a former member of the E4 Mafia that made me laugh.
I just realised that Puss in Boots 2's Death is basically just a personified version of Final Destination.

Having watched Pretty Much It’s final destination video when Karl mentioned the wind I started cracking up
19:49 that is actually called road hauling, and that scene was a reference to the murder of Emmit Till.
It's the type of thing that makes me think that sherman had too much restraint, and I can see why Karl would avoid talking about it in a video that isn't supposed to depress you.
I love how death in these movies is a living concept, there's no real way to beat it
Karl, if you look at these, read a book called "On a Pale Horse" by Piers Anthony. It takes on the idea of personifying death by making death a job occupied by a person. Its a good story
incarnations of immortality is the best book series ive ever read. thanks darrel, glad to see Piers getting his flowers
Hell being the last 30minutes of work before you can go home But forever feels like the kind of thing hell should be.
Snips of Final Destination films feel like jump scares. Like the Copy Write Office is coming for your content.
Death from Diskworld is my favorite personification. what other death has a child, grand child, been a fry cook, was fired and killed his successor, and subsatuted for Santa
WHAT CAN THE HARVEST HOPE FOR, IF NOT THE CARE OF THE REAPER MAN?
You can't give her that! It's not safe.
It's a sword they aren't meant to be safe.
Final destination 2 had the best death and so many jokes about it. Alex survivor from 1 dies by a brick a literal brick.
37:05 Maybe bus is vampire 🤷

The movies aren’t the best but the 5th one ending is goated. Genuinely one of the best twists
9:57 Death rides a pale horse.
DUUUUUUUDE
Karl perfectly describing death of puss in boots 2 at 17:30
In the short film 'Death and the Winemaker' Death is trapped for many years and when she is released she unsleashes a plage on everyone who has outlived their life and those who were never supposed to be born.
I love this concept. Extremely frightening and enticing at the same time
@@TheArtofKAS It's a good movie, you can watch it on TH-cam, it is in French with subtitles through.
I love death in the discworld series of books. He has a horse called binky.
My first Discworld book was Mort. So good!!!
I just remember him hanging out with a ghost of a recently deceased royal feeling tired explaining no you are not hungry, that’s just habit.
Man loved the 1st. I caught it with my dad, d the theater shocked silent on the bus scene but us biggest laugh.
3:41 guessing that was a childish copyright strike? Even though you're promoting their film.... I will illegally download one and watch it out of spite.
Lots of copyright strikes on this video today unfortunately yeah 💀

@@wikiweekendsupload a clean version, please. I'm going to rewatch this at least twice at work, and I'd rather you get paid for it.

The only scariest movie villain I can think of that beats death is landlords

Life’s a laugh and death’s a joke it’s true, you’ll see it’s all a show. Keep ‘em laughing as you go.
Thanks guys! I always liked the sandman and supernaturals version of death :)
Death sounds like 47 from Hitman.

Love any content from you guys! Been a fan for years
Get well soon karl
I can argue anything...fate doesnt have the balls to argue back.

I survived 2 strokes I guess death was just bored but I don't think I'm invincible.

With how many times I have evaded death myself I think I should be worried

The Evil from The Evil Dead also fits in this category of omniscient movie villains that is terrifying to me 😅
RIP to Tony Todd. Such a great actor.
I want to see Final Destination in space...
In Next, the Nick Cage movie, he dose have to actively 'look' into the future, and it's only 2 minutes. So I feel like it shouldn't be that bad?

Can we get a new died and sent to another world anime about the girl In finale destination that got hit by the bus lmao
Supernatural OG death is the best
Final Destination 5 caused Final Destination 1 which caused Final Destination 2... Death kinda sucks at his job of maintaining his own design. 3 movies to kill a group and then fix his own screw ups
It wouldn't have happened if someone hadn't leaked his design.

also, Death in Puss in Boots 2 is easily in my top5 Disney villains
Dreamworks?
That's not Disney though
Why put clips in if you're not actually going to show them? Literal half second clips are just irritating
