Cockatoo Playing with Wind Chimes

This is CJ, our recently rescued cockatoo. He's playing with some windchimes that we brought in for hurricane season. Looks like we'll need to move them so he can't reach them unsupervised (for safety reasons) but since I was right there I figured I'd let him enjoy them for a little while before they moved.
For some background, CJ was rescued from a home that provided no toys and hardly spent any time with him. It was really incredible to see him be brave enough to play with something new just two short weeks after bringing him home! Leading up to this moment we'd already been doing a lot of gentle desensitization/counter conditioning exercises with some proper bird toys which I feel really helped him to not be so scared of novel objects.
