Nintendo is pretty much the Disney of video games at this point. With them becoming the richest company in Japan, they owe a lot to their iconic characters. From the playful fun of the Mario series to the epic adventures in Zelda, there is something for everyone when it comes to Nintendo.
But, just like Disney and their unforgettable villains, Nintendo has their own set of vile fiends who plague their own games. And today, we’re counting them down from the kindest faces you go up against, to the most twisted and deranged.

Dr. Coyle from “ARMS” - a mad scientist who causes trouble for the ARMS competition
Redd from “Animal Crossing” - maybe the closet thing to a villain in the franchise. Practically a con man who can sell you fake art as well as real art. Probably on the Lesser Evil side since his tricks make him more of a nuisance than a threat.
Somebody from “F-Zero”
Any big villain from “Xenoblade” or “Fire Emblem”.

Then, Wario would start the bad to evil, as seen in Mario Characters Good to Evil by Game Domain, Wario starts off the bad to evil section for that video. Anyways, what about Dark Samus and Wolf?
Where’s Dimentio? That guy’s just as popular as Fawful, and he tried to destroy all worlds and replace them with brand new ones under his own image. This would not only kill everyone in those worlds, but also make them cease to exist!

Fawful: you are the jokes on a bad April Fool's day.
The fact that Bowser Jr. basically stole the koopalings' spotlight starting in 2002 is just sad. When Bowser. Jr. was introduced, he started to be acsoncof Bowser along with the koopalings but Miamoto had to be a butthole and say that the koopalings were minions and not Bowser's children anymore. Boswer Jr. was basically Azula and the koopalings were Zuko.

Maybe they'll be like Zuko and get a Redemption Arc at some point.

It's a shame that not all Nintendo Villains made it into the list, like Porky, Cackletta, Dark Matter, and many others.
This is still a great video though, the rankings are pretty accurate, and I was hoping for this kind of video to exist.
The video would be like 2 hours long if they included all of them so they chose the most popular only.
I was shocked about no Wolf or any F-Zero/Fire Emblem villains.
@@sirekumasutra7022 Well, I do think some more Nintendo villains deserve a spotlight on this list.
For example:
Porky Minch - Corrupted an entire village, destroyed families, mechanized animals, and treats others with little to no respect.
Zero/Zero Two - Almost destroyed the entire universe, and only lost because Ribbon escaped with the last crystal, even if it was shattered to pieces when she crash-landed on DreamLand.
I could keep listing Nintendo villains constantly.
especially when it comes to Dark Mater and Porky. Other villains that deserve to be here as well are Majora and Dimentio.

Porky and Giygas are some of the most evil characters in Nintendo.
But it’s not their fault they are evil. I think that’s what makes them the best.
Giygas could count as amoral and even then he has redeeming qualities, Porky is pure evil. Me personally I would rank Porky in 4th beaten by 3 other pure evils Hades, Ridley, and Dimentio. Giygas would be just above Ganondorf and Fawful in terms of evil.
Giygas had some sort of a reason for attempted world destruction. His species was nervous about humanity having PSI.
@@psychicsodabottle Not just that, Ninten's grandfather basically stole PSI from them. Porky is something else though. His boss in Mother 3 basically proves it for me, as his lines show that he is not only aware that his commands to the Masked Man will end the world and kill everyone, but he's excited about it.

Great video! For the Pikmin series, the most villainous character has to be Louie! He steals from people who just saved his life, he goes mad with power and tries to kill his coworkers, and he bankrupts his company then tries to cover it up. Dude is a threat to himself and others.
I feel that Louie is ultimately more of a gluttonous idiot than an actual villain, though.
my opinion of the most evil charater: Porky
He is a monster out of mental abuse
He destroyed the entire world (almost)
He even corrupted an entire town
He commited homicide
He joined Giygas
He commited mass murder

I kinda miss Porky on the list. I know Fawful ist a very famous character by the fans but if he is on the list Porky deserves a spot aswell.
After all, he did destroy the entire universal timeline, brainwash people, assert dominance over the entire planet, plan to kill everyone who didn't like him, used an evil destructive entity for his own use, mechanize animals and making them deadly FOR FUN, and mechanizing humans as well.

Dimentio wanted to end the universe and make a new one in his own vision so I think that's a bit worse than Pokey
I see your point, but Dimentio actually wants to do something with the universe where Pokey isn’t doing anything with it. He’s just sitting in a capsule happy being the only person in existence. But that’s my opinion, Pokey and Dimentio are both equally evil so it’s a close finish.

As a Kirby nerd, there are also some villains that were far more evil and would land on the evilest side of the spectrum like Star Dream, prioritizing its life even if it means wiping out all organic life, and there’s also Magolor, who betrayed Kirby and used the Master Crown to be the ruler of the Universe. On the less evil side there are the Squeaks, a band of thieves who later help Kirby.
Magolor built a entire theme park for kirby to make up for it though, but yeah, star dream sucks
I’d say Marx would be the most mentally insane and evil by toying with kirby playing him like a doll and making the sun and moon fight just so Marx could get high multiversal power, and even after his defeat comes back as Marx’s soul to finish the job

Why isn’t Majora on this list? It’s literally a demon who try’s to destroy Termina by possessing a child and crashing a moon into the land for no reason.
What about galacta knight, in Kirby planet robobot, in quote, "He may end up destroying a nearby planet or two, but such is life." This shows he has the power to destroy planets just because he can. That's some real power he's got there.
We rarely know about him, his story and his intentions tho

Don't forget about the Dark Lord from Miitopia. He steals mii faces and uses them to make many different types of monsters.
More specifically, the Dark Curse, the main evil behind the evil of the Dark Lord.

if you count mewtwo he'd easily be top 5

Most of those points are only explicitly seen in the anime/anime movie. Even still, in the original games, Mewtwo destroyed the facility that created him (presumably resulting in a number of human deaths) and most of his Pokedex entries describe him as having the most 'savage heart' among Pokémon.
Even in spinoff titles, Mewtwo is almost always depicted as being villainous in some capacity (notably in the anime/movie, Mystery Dungeon series, Pinball, Puzzle League, Smash Bros), and even when he isn't explicitly evil, he has a penchant for being manipulated/controlled/possessed in order to serve an antagonistic role (Detective Pikachu, Pokémon, Ranger, etc.).

If Dimentio from Super Paper Mario was on this list, he’d obviously be the Most Evil.
You missed porky minch. I think using ness as a human shield, joining a cult, teaming up with giygas only to bail on him and leave him for dead, creating an army of pigmask soldiers, has said soldiers burn tazmali village to the ground, turned innocent creatures into mechanical chimera's, one of which killed Lucas's mom, brainwashed and turned clause into a chimera, mocks Lucas about loving clause during his boss fight, his desire to destroy the world managing to succeed, should show that he deserves to be on the list.

I feel it’s a shame that Fire Emblem has so many villains and none appear. Medeus, who was fueled by his vengeful desire against humans, the Black Knight, who was given prejudice by everyone (including his own family) and sought to prove his strength, and Rhea and Edelgard, two people with good desires for Fodlan, but too prideful in their own ways

The information is hard to find, but Meta Knight originally said "Dream Land, filled with corruption, shall be changed by my hand." This indicates that he's not evil, but more a revolutionary who has respect for his rivals.

I'm a little surprised Commander Tartar isn't on the list. I mean, he tried to wipe out the inklings and octolings, put subject 10,008 (or rather, Agent 8) through several deadly, unforgiving tests run by a clearly insane train conductor, C.Q Cumber, and used his sanitization serum to hypnotize Agent 3, as well as a bunch of octolings. Despite his evil deeds, though, he is still just an A.I who just wants to make his creator happy, even if it means killing an entire race... or two.

Ness should probably be at least 3rd place. In Subspace emissary He’s incredibly kind hearted, and uses his powers for good. He sacrificed himself to save Lucas, who I may remind you, is someone he NEVER met in his life. He, luigi, and dedede single handedly saved every fighter. And the fact that he did this all at the age of 13, is some incredibly mature stuff
Plus, wario should also be brought down to evil in the smash universe. He’s willing to try and murder a group of children and laugh while doing it.
I would put Wolf a little more good, because in Star Fox Assault, he actually helps out Fox and the rest of the crew. So that's one good thing he's done. But that's pretty much it.

It’s actually unknown if Andross truly cares about Dash, since he only appears in one game in the Star Fox series, and we don’t know if this game is canon. It might be possible Andross only cares about him because he’s the heir to his royalty. Speaking of his family, he never mentions his nephew, Andrew, in any of his dialogues, who took control of his army after Andross’ death in 64. (Adventure doesn’t count, since 1: Andrew doesn’t appear in this game and 2: a few moments after reviving himself, Andross is defeated, not only by Fox McCloud, by also by Falco Lombardi.)
The lack of Fire Emblem or Xenoblade in this list is disturbing, especially FE. Even just listing the first and latest "main bad guy" in the series would have been enough.

I was thinking Majora would be on the list. Porky should have been at the top or at least 2nd or 3rd. He’s a selfish brat with no sympathy for anyone. He started an army whom similarly compare to the nazis. He mobilized innocent animals to make them violent for fun. He caused the death of a beloved mother. He kidnapped and brainwashed a kid to make him turn against his brother. Lastly, he wanted to cause a genocide of the human race until he was the only one alive just to assert his dominance.

A guy who usually mean any harm towards the noble. Though, if you're going to try to make Dreamland less lazy, I don't think building a giant airship would be the right thing to do.
*King Dedede*
A former king who was turned into a puppet by much more powerful villains. Sure, stealing all of the food in Dreamland is a serious crime, but even he doesn't deserve to get possessed by Queen Sectona, the Dark Heart or the Dark Matter. He's the comic relief and a decent pal to Kirby on some occasions, even defeating Morpho Knight in Kirby Star Allies. Though I don't think Guest Star King Dedede is going to be canonical to the Kirby lore any time soon.
*Wario*
All Wario wanted was money. He doesn't care how heroic he has to be to get the riches he seeks. As long as there's a monetary prize for accomplishing his goals, he'll do it. In a way, he's kind of like Mr. Krabs, though Wario doesn't canonically open any restaurants or Fast-Food Factories.
In all honesty, if I was designing an anti-Mario, I would have come up with something along the lines of Oiram, or something. Maybe he could have posed as Luigi.
*Team Rocket*
A shady group of Pokémon snatchers who want nothing more than selling their captured Pokémon on the Black Market. While they've been defeated dozens of times by Ash Ketchup and his friends, but they are formidable, albeit sometimes funny, foes.
*Plasm Wraith*
Though I do have Pikmin 3, I've never truly thought there were any real villains in the game. You're just a crew of tiny astronauts who crash landed on an Earthlike world. Though Olimar's incapacitated state doesn't seem that good for the heroes, Plasm Wraith didn't really mean any harm. I don't even think the game even explained a lot during the game. Fact-check me if I'm wrong.
*Bowser Jr.*
He's just a mischievous kid who's just trying to follow in his father's footsteps. He does have the smarts, guts, nerve and gusto to do it too. Though he does help by becoming a doctor and using his clown car to help the other Smash Bros characters defeat the villains whose names I can't remember. The only question I have is, how does Bowser have a son if he's single? Did he have a relationship prior to the events of Super Mario Sunshine or New Super Mario Bros.?
*Bowser*
A giant talking, fire breathing, spike-backed turtle who uses the damsel in distress fairytale trope to get at Mario. He doesn't seem to take lightly to the idea of imposters trying to take his throne either, as evidenced by his encounters with Dark Bowser. With his fire breath, stature, princess kidnapping skills, galaxy conquering skills, marriage arranging skills, gadgets, minions and offspring on his side, it's best not to mess with Bowser. At least he knows how to lighten up by the time he's invited to Mario's sports outings.
*King K. Rool*
While this vile crocodile didn't get a while in the spotlight, he made it clear that he'd go the extra mile to have Donkey Kong and his friends face the trials. Rhymes aside, he was a formidable foe, both despite and in spite of his aliases as a king, a captain, a mad scientist and a boxer. I hope he doesn't kidnap all four SNES Kongs at once.

I'm a person who only has the first Splatoon game and only defeated one boss in the story mode. I didn't know DJ Octavio and Captain Cuddlefish were friends before turf war tore them apart. I wonder what made them pick opposite sides and what they could have achieved had they picked the same side.
*Mother Brain*
The literal mastermind behind controlling the space pirates Samus encounters. Her appearance is made even more disturbing in the second game. Let's hope she doesn't go full 3D/RTX in a Metroid movie. Come to think of it, she's kind of like GLADOS, only *brainier*.
*Medusa*
I may not know much about Kid Icarus, but I do know that Medusa is not one to be taken lightly, given her uncanny ability to turn anyone into stone upon directly coming into eye contact with her. I wonder if she ever gets lonely. She does make for a good fake final boss, though.
*Ganon*
In a way, I feel bad for Ganon. He kept getting reincarnated one defeat after another only to be stopped by different Links each time. Too bad he couldn't see past his foolish plans and beg for mercy and forgiveness. Yet again, with the development of Breath of the Wild 2, maybe there could be that slim chance of mercy. Well, after he scrubs all the floors in Hyrule first.

I wonder why he even planned on terrorizing and conquering the Mushroom Kingdom. Did Cackletta treat him cruelly?
*King Boo*
A big ghost who once loved his minions that got corrupted by vengeance after Luigi saved his brother. I wonder what made King Boo decide to kidnap Mario in the first place. *Bogus theory* King Boo is actually Bowser's dad. Maybe he knew of Mario and how he always kept on rescuing Peach.
*Giygas*
For a giant red nightmare inducing mist monster, he does have a somewhat tragic backstory. Who tasked him to kill his family?
*Ridley*
I thought Ridley was going to be ranked any lower since I only ever really played Metroid and Super Metroid despite owning Metroid Dread. However, after hearing you explain how vile Ridley is and that he was once under Ridley's control really makes him deserve the bronze medal.

I didn't really know much about him since I only own the original Starfox. However, similar to how I viewed Ridley, watching this video made me realize just how cruel he is.
*Hades*
Surprise, surprise. I wonder who unironically didn't expect Hades to be on the top of the list? He's the god of the underworld. Disney might make him seem more tragic, but that's nothing compared to how Nintendo portrayed him. He doesn't even have a tragic backstory to back up his motivations. No loss of a loved one, no mockery he couldn't shake off. He's just an all-powerful being of evil, and he's not even that mindless.

I think you might have missed many of the Kirby villains. Marx from Kirby Super Star tricked Kirby into collecting enough star power so that he'd make a wish at the last minute so he can control Popstar. Queen Sectona seized Popstar in an effort to keep her endless beauty intact. Zero and Zero 2 were entities who brought an eternal darkness upon Popstar (judging by Kirby 64). Mr. Haltmann was a businessman that was corrupted by the power he had gained during his mission to find his missing daughter. The three sisters from Kirby Star Allies were servants to their titular master (whose name I can't remember) and were very well versed in their respective elements.

Nah. Papyrus is better than Toriel. First, he's much more forgiving than her. Even after being murdered in the genocide route, he still isn't mad at you, and believes you can be a good person. Toriel, on the other hand, refuses to forgive Asgore for declaring war against humanity (have in mind that he did that just after losing both of his children, he obviously wasn't thinking well, and he doesn't actually want to destroy humanity), even though it's very obvious that he regrets doing it.

@@firenze6478 He traveled back in time to kill Mario and Luigi when they were babies in new yoshi island DS,he blows up toad town every week, and he once shot at peach's castle while toads were still in there,he betrayed Antasma and left him to die to Mario despite Antasma having been very loyal and having shown no sign of wanting to betray Bowser, then tried to wish Mario and Luigi to dissapear (AKA die) in that same game using the dream stone,oh,and did I mention that he traveled back in time in a yoshi game to steal star children? He was kidnaping BABIES. Just because he didn't kill anyone doesn't mean he hasn't tried,he sure as hell has.
@@cbfranco3307 hes also worked with mario to save the world or multiverse on several occasions and even saved peach a few times. Hes a good king to his subjects who let them retire when smithy took over and protected them and he parties and plays baseball with his nemesis all of the time.

Yes,he parties and plays with Mario and friends,so does King K.rool with DK despite King K.rool being a racist maniac who abuses his minions and wants to commit genocide on the Kongs.
Bowser definitely has good,redeeming qualities,but saying that he is "barely more evil than Dedede" (who isn't even evil at ALL anymore) is an overstatement,he isn't pure evil,doesn't mean he isn't evil at all. He still enslaved toads in paper jam bros,tried to kill babies in New Yoshi's island DS,and is always trying to force a girl who doesn't love him into marrying him. Loving his son,minions and having honor and other qualities doesn't excuse his actions.

Feels like Ganon should been a bit higher, since most versions of him are so heartless that they don't care how much damage they cause, with only the introspective Ganon of Wind Waker actually realizing how he may have been wrong in his actions. Granted, WW also reveals a previously unseen aspect of Ganon's past, that life in the Gerudo desert was harsh and unforgiving, and thus he was more jealous of Hyrule's prosperity than just being a conqueror out to satiate his need for domination.
Most of them do have a sense of honor though.(except TOTK)

I think Mewtwo would be in the beginning of top 5, Kamek, the top 8, Dark Samus, the top 11 and Wolf, between Wario and Team Rocket.

There are certainly villains missing here, like Porky Minch for example who is kind of like Fawful but more evil and more childish.
There are a lot more Kirby villains that are WAY more evil than King DDD or Meta Knight. Many were direct threats to the universe, planning on destroying it mostly. For example, Star Dream attempted to wipe out all organic life, just because it saw them as imperfect beings.

You should do a "good to most Good" Nintendo characters. My top 3 would be: Samus, Ness and Link. Samus has put herself in danger many times to save the Galaxy. Ness is just a little boy with a huge responsibility, and Link IMO is the most selfless character: from a person who can't find her dog to saving the whole world, there's no task small or big enough for him

How bout Commander Tartar? In the Octo Expansion, he sets out some challenges for you with the very promising reward of your freedom. But the "elevator" he puts you in is actually a trap. He then screws with Agent 3's mind and tries getting her to kill you. Then you are picked up by Off The Hook moments before a huge colossus with a laser in its mouth comes up. You find that Tartar's motivation is basically this: (ENABLING CONTEMPORARY SPEECH MODE) "What's up, Subject 1 Triple-O 8? I'm a wicked wild AI and I've come to tell you that your peeps suck and should be deep six'd for their vanity. But don't worry, I've made smoothies for everyone in Inkopolis. But they're actually funky smoothies made of a bunch of dead squids that will blow y'all away! So long, losers!" (DISABLING CONTEMPORARY SPEECH MODE) In other words, he tried to intentionally commit genocide on people because he thought they were all selfish. Heh. Sel-"fish". Anyway, total genocide? He's gotta be just above Andross in terms of morality.

If you ask me, Commander Tartar from Splatoon 2's DLC "Octo Expansion" is the most evil of all. Why?
-Assigned to pass human knowledge tot he next worldwide species. He refused and changed it to what HE deems worthy.
-Because he sees inklings/octolings are inferior, he would rather see them to extinction. How?....
-He has a labyrinth of an undersea station, where he lures Octolings and others in with their memories wiped clean. He offers them out if they get "thangs" for him...
...which are pieces of a blender that HE TRIES TO BLEND YOU UP IN. You watch it happen!
He reveals that *he fucking blended up over 10,000 other subjects. Blended, to fucking green mush! That green stuff you wade through in the campaign? BLENDED UP CORPSE REMAINS!!! E-RATED?!?!?!*
-When you get your card of sorts from him at the start, it drips with green remains....
-And he uses that mush as fuel for a massive canon he intends to use to blow up Inkopolis and even the world itself, which he does if you fail his boss fight! The rest is used to revive blended subjects as fighter zombies!!!!!!!
-Those who pass his tests are blended up, those who dont either die or left to wander forever lost with wiped memories.
-And he does it all out of prejudice after twisting his creator's wishes.
So a racist, manipulative, life-disposing careless selfish MASS-GENOCIDER....yeah, most evil of freaking Nintendo....EVER.
I think that one or two Xenoblade villains, like Metal Face, should be included as well.
Amalthus would also be pretty good, yeah he has a backstory that gives him some reasoning but he still literally nuked a titan filled with life on it and murdered the very heroes who cleaned up *his problem.*

Neutral: William Afton (FNAF) (he actually cares about his children who died across the games (the kids who got bit by Fredbear and Elizabeth Afton (the girl Circus Baby killed)))
Bad: The King (Deltarune)
Astor from Age of Calamity would be top 5: wishing and willingly serving the calamity, turning on the yiga, being the first Nintendo villain to say “kill her”, and actively trying to bring an end to Hyrule and the princess who bears the blood of the goddess.
Kohga would be one of the bottom villains being more of a rival. He’s a buffoon who reminds me of Dedede and Wario mashed together with DK’s love for bananas. He isn’t evil per se, he just follows Ganon since he was part of a cult, but he turned the cult on their former deity and joined the forces of Hyrule after making a narrow escape with Sooga after Astor’s betrayal and the genocide of his clan.
Not to mention Astor wasn't helping Calamity Ganon he was using him.
