    However the story will go i have no doubt i'll love it. But one thing i hope is Yarros make the book deeper and not so shallow. The book is about war and hopefully it will capture the psychology impact of that situation. Delves into the emotional and mental effect of violance, power struggle, and survival.

    This makes a lot of sense. Also Mira is the middle child - and just like throughout much of the books , she didn’t really have much page time. Brennan who was “dead” for 6 years had more scenes than Mira- perhaps demonstrating how easy it is for her to be overlooked and well most plot-twist villains are just that - overlooked. When Mira joined the revolution I remember thinking, gosh where is she , I keep forgetting about her, why isn’t Yarros giving her more of a significant role in Iron Flame.. guess her role is yet it come

      @@George_RR_Sagan Thank you, your theory is brilliant and I can't unsee it now. Also there is something that does not sit right with me - the epigraphs of the letters Xaden sent to Violet. They are all labelled as "Recovered Correspondence". It feels as though it was dug out from rubble as if Xaden and perhaps Violet cease to exist. The letter Liam wrote to Sloane in ch. 64 is also 'recovered correspondence' - and Violet literally recovered them from Liam's room after he died. Even ch. 65, is "recovered, unsent correspondence" of Lilith and well, we all know her fate. Idk if I am overthinking but I would love to know your thoughts on this. (perhaps this could be the "great and terrible price" Vi would have to pay, the loss or the killing of a loved one ugh) and Yes, I definitely want a third video from you, diving deeper into the prophecy !

      @@miharu54 oof, yeah that's something I've thought about but that's not what I'm guessing the great and terrible price is. I don't know what to think about that, I think Vi and Xaden will end up together at least and it would definitely undercut that happy ending for that to happen only for them to die. But maybe there's some kind of middle ground? 🤔😉

    I don't know if you highlighted this information in your other videos... but before announcing the cover of Onyx Storm, Rebeca released 3 chapters on her profile picture. These are chapter 3 of FW, which talks about the blue dragons, in this case a reference to Sgaeyl; chapter 22 of FW which talks about being dominated by power; and chapter 31 of IF which talks about gravity being the enemy. Remember that Violet says several times that Xaden is her gravity. Things to think about, besides, of course, the name of book 3.

    • @George_RR_Sagan
      @George_RR_Sagan  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@RayraGoncalves ooh, I didn't know about the new chapters, thank you. I wouldn't be surprised if Xaden temporarily turns at least to a certain extent, maybe he'll even be the biggest antagonist for the next book, but I think Mira will be the main villain for the overall series and if Xaden does turn he'll eventually be redeemed.

    • @RayraGoncalves
      @RayraGoncalves 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@George_RR_Sagan I think that maybe Xaden is the "antagonist" of book 4, I think that in book 3 they will still be trying to deal with everything, and he will leave at the end of book 3. Book 4 would be divided into Violet and Xaden's POVs. However, Xaden did not become Venin out of greed for power, but out of love, I think that will be a variable. I see a possibility of Violet becoming Venin, because she almost channeled from the earth when she was imbuing power into the stone, she only didn't do it because Lilith kicked her and stopped her. Maybe she does it out of love too. About the 3 brothers in the Fables, it is important to highlight that the third was the one who dominated the sky (same power as Vi) and at the same time he was the Venin brother who fought against the jealous brother, that is, this Venin brother was probably not the villain of the story. Which corroborates your theory about Mira.

    • @George_RR_Sagan
      @George_RR_Sagan  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@RayraGoncalves I agree with you about a lot of that, and as for the rest, you could totally end up being right, but my take on a few things is a little different... I'm guessing, but not sure, that Xaden could become an antagonist, but especially based on the title I think that would mostly occur during Onyx Storm. I'd bet that arc will largely be resolved by the end of the book and Mira will get set up as the REAL villain for books 4 and 5. I'd have to read it again but I don't remember Vi seriously considering channeling from the earth, at the very least toward the end of her working on imbuing the ward stone she was prepared to give her life to finish it (rather than reaching for power from the Earth and turning venin), and that's why Lilith kicked her away from it.

    Our first big enemy should be the new commandant of Basgiath. If we think general Lilith was kind of bad and that her vice commandant was the worst ever, we are in for a rude awakening.

    • @George_RR_Sagan
      @George_RR_Sagan  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's a good point, it seems like the most likely people to take over Lilith's position would either be Colonel Aetos or the current commandant, Panchek, and since felt implied that there's a contingent of venin within the leadership either of them could turn out to be part of it. I still think Mira will end up being the MAIN/biggest villain because of that excerpt from the Fables of the Barren, but I haven't given enough thought to who else is likely to be on that side. If my theory is correct that doesn't preclude the idea that Naolin or General Daramor could still show up. Obviously there's Jack Barlowe and likely some other cadets he recruited. I'm sure there will be new characters introduced as well. Things are going to get crazy.

    Have you ever thought that Markham was a Venin and the head Sage. I had thought maybe that was why Lilith wanted Violet to be a rider instead of a a scribe. Could their father have known more about the venin at Baisgaith. That was why he died. I like your Mira theory. I could see her turning to the dark side. It would also make open up a lot of possibilities.

    • @George_RR_Sagan
      @George_RR_Sagan  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I definitely think Markham could be/probably is a venin, but I don't see how he could be the Sage. I think Lilith didn't want Violet going into the scribe quadrant simply because Markham was grooming her to take over for him as the head of the scribe quadrant, meaning she'd obviously be let in on the secret that the venin exist at least, and she new that Violet wouldn't be ok with hiding it from the people and they'd 'silence' her. I definitely think Papa Sorrengail knew about the existence of venin, whether he knew about any within Basgiath or whether he was killed for something along those lines I have no idea, but wouldn't be at all surprised.

    really interesting and I really think you're on to something that Mira really is the only one with the narrative weight to justify the angst of a betrayal
    Also how horrid must it be that their mother only waited to say goodbye to Violet and Brennan? Mira never got a final goodbye or a death message of how proud she was of Mira, but Violet did. Violet literally got such a glowing treatment from her mother in Iron Flame that it made a lot of fics with heavy anti Lilith plot lines, feel almost cruel with how Lilith did make the decision to sacrifice everything for Violet's safety in letting half of Basgiath leave with Violet and then giving her and Aimsir's life for the wardstone to keep Violet from killing herself through burnout
    unless as you say, there is a BUNCH of sudden character development in a series famous for focusing on characters only to kill them off

      @@emilygleeson2018 Exactly. I guess there's some small chance there's a ton of character development around Naolin and he shows up, but considering he hasn't really been mentioned since FW that would seem pretty telegraphed at the last minute. Plus I don't see Brennan turning traitor for him since he isn't a jealous person. Assuming it's one of her siblings, it's got to be Mira

    What if mira became venin when she was i. The arena and created a temporary eard arou d them, what if she had reached for the power from the earth and thats hiw she was able to do that!!??

    • @George_RR_Sagan
      @George_RR_Sagan  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Fun idea, but if she had, then she would have drained the land inside the ward she created to do so, and if I remember correctly the book describes how the grass all AROUND the ward was drained, but it remained green inside of it. I also don't think she'll turn because of love/necessity like Xaden (who I think is redeemable for that reason), I think she'll be the true villain, turning because of jealousy and that would've been triggered by how Lilith sacrificed herself for Violet. During the arena part of the story, Mira would've still been solidly in Vi's corner. I'm pretty sure Mira was able to do that because of Vi's second signet, I laid out my theory about that (including how Mira manifested the ward) in this vid th-cam.com/video/kBRRIHKjAwE/w-d-xo.html
