This is a good theory but I think there are holes - I believe it’ll be Brennan that turns jealous - and I can feel the tension already. He is the one least connected to the family - he left and never reached out or made contact - he only knew them as children not who they grew into. Also, Mira’s signet is tied to her core need to protect not because she is selfish or wants to be staying hidden or guarded. Someone’s core value is to protect would not justify sacrificing a life as quickly. Also the great care she took for violet the sisterly bond the motherly role model she took on to take care of Violet. It’s a bond that is hard to break - but Brennan. He doesn’t have those bonds if anything he’s built those bonds with Xayden as running the rebellion, leading the council with Xayden. And now Xayden loves Violet and is bringing her into the council, giving advice, being heard. Lastly the obvious - the Rune on Brennan’s hand what does that mean, he has an orange dragon which foretells unpredictability unlike a green dragon for Mira which is logical and rational. Plus Brennan’s signet is mending/fixing things - which can come with a complex all within its self. He will be the one to change everything because he can fix anything. Just my quick thoughts. But excited to see how it all plays out.
I'm still more convinced by the evidence suggesting it'll be Mira, but you do make some very good arguments. It'll be very interesting to see who turns out to be right in a couple of months when Onyx Storm comes out!
This makes a lot of sense. Also Mira is the middle child - and just like throughout much of the books , she didn’t really have much page time. Brennan who was “dead” for 6 years had more scenes than Mira- perhaps demonstrating how easy it is for her to be overlooked and well most plot-twist villains are just that - overlooked. When Mira joined the revolution I remember thinking, gosh where is she , I keep forgetting about her, why isn’t Yarros giving her more of a significant role in Iron Flame.. guess her role is yet it come
@@MarloAlatorre Thank you, your theory is brilliant and I can't unsee it now. Also there is something that does not sit right with me - the epigraphs of the letters Xaden sent to Violet. The letter Liam wrote to Sloane in ch. 64 is also 'recovered correspondence' - and Violet literally recovered them from Liam's room after he died. Even ch. 65, is "recovered, unsent correspondence" of Lilith and well, we all know her fate. Idk if I am overthinking but I would love to know your thoughts on this. Could their father have known more about the venin at Baisgaith. That was why he died. I like your Mira theory. I could see her turning to the dark side. It would also make open up a lot of possibilities.
I definitely think Markham could be/probably is a venin, but I don't see how he could be the Sage. I think Lilith didn't want Violet going into the scribe quadrant simply because Markham was grooming her to take over for him as the head of the scribe quadrant, meaning she'd obviously be let in on the secret that the venin exist at least, and she new that Violet wouldn't be ok with hiding it from the people and they'd 'silence' her. I definitely think Papa Sorrengail knew about the existence of venin, whether he knew about any within Basgiath or whether he was killed for something along those lines I have no idea, but wouldn't be at all surprised.

Besides knowing that Violet wouldn't keep silence about the venin... She knew Violent wouldn't stand a chance. When she crossed the parapet it was thought that Lilith tried to k1ll Violet with the storm. If we take into account that when she is nervous or upset the temperture drops and storm comes in... I'd say she was worried so much that she créated that storm as a result of her fear for Violets safety. I also believe her father did know about the venin that's why he read that stories to her and also why he left a Letter telling her that "he knows she will do the right thing". Through that stories she knew things about the venin that even Brennan didn't know. Her dad May have known she was different and that she would be capable to do something about it. It is also interesting that we "know" him as scribe Sorrengail and not his full name. As interesting as when Lilith had a "not known health issue" when she was pregnant and in other scene she had such read eyes that made Violet scream in fear. They justified it with "she was tired". I don't really think so specially because Aetos wanted to find Sorrengails investigations. And he made clear when he tried to k1ll Violet and the others that it is all related to venin. Her Mother said that she would have done everything for any of her kids, not just Violet. She said that in a Letter to Violet's father earlier. In this case they were all in danger so she didn't just saved Violet: she saved all of them. Hence why Violet tried to restore the shild. Mira also said that Brennan's book saved her and that's why she gave Violet the book too. She used that book to survive. She was also really respected and even tells Violet to stop trying to impress their Mother because her power is only hers. If she ever gets to the dark side I think it would be to try to save Violet, not because of envy. And Violet does have all the odds to become a venin. Even Xaden turns into a venin to save her and himself. He thought she was going to die either restoring the shild either if that strong venin went after her. I don't know if you highlighted this information in your other videos... but before announcing the cover of Onyx Storm, Rebeca released 3 chapters on her profile picture. These are chapter 3 of FW, which talks about the blue dragons, in this case a reference to Sgaeyl; chapter 22 of FW which talks about being dominated by power; and chapter 31 of IF which talks about gravity being the enemy. @@RayraGoncalves ooh, I didn't know about the new chapters, thank you. @@MarloAlatorre I think that maybe Xaden is the "antagonist" of book 4, I think that in book 3 they will still be trying to deal with everything, and he will leave at the end of book 3. Book 4 would be divided into Violet and Xaden's POVs. However, Xaden did not become Venin out of greed for power, but out of love, I think that will be a variable. I see a possibility of Violet becoming Venin, because she almost channeled from the earth when she was imbuing power into the stone, she only didn't do it because Lilith kicked her and stopped her. Maybe she does it out of love too. About the 3 brothers in the Fables, it is important to highlight that the third was the one who dominated the sky (same power as Vi) and at the same time he was the Venin brother who fought against the jealous brother, that is, this Venin brother was probably not the villain of the story. Which corroborates your theory about Mira.
@@RayraGoncalves I agree with you about a lot of that, and as for the rest, you could totally end up being right, but my take on a few things is a little different... I'm guessing, but not sure, that Xaden could become an antagonist, but especially based on the title I think that would mostly occur during Onyx Storm. I'd bet that arc will largely be resolved by the end of the book and Mira will get set up as the REAL villain for books 4 and 5. I'd have to read it again but I don't remember Vi seriously considering channeling from the earth, at the very least toward the end of her working on imbuing the ward stone she was prepared to give her life to finish it (rather than reaching for power from the Earth and turning venin), and that's why Lilith kicked her away from it.
What if mira became venin when she was i. The arena and created a temporary eard arou d them, what if she had reached for the power from the earth and thats hiw she was able to do that!!??
Fun idea, but if she had, then she would have drained the land inside the ward she created to do so, and if I remember correctly the book describes how the grass all AROUND the ward was drained, but it remained green inside of it. I also don't think she'll turn because of love/necessity like Xaden (who I think is redeemable for that reason), I think she'll be the true villain, turning because of jealousy and that would've been triggered by how Lilith sacrificed herself for Violet. During the arena part of the story, Mira would've still been solidly in Vi's corner. I'm pretty sure Mira was able to do that because of Vi's second signet, I laid out my theory about that (including how Mira manifested the ward) in this vid th-cam.com/video/kBRRIHKjAwE/w-d-xo.html

I'd have to read it again but I don't remember Vi seriously considering channeling from the earth, at the very least toward the end of her working on imbuing the ward stone she was prepared to give her life to finish it (rather than reaching for power from the Earth and turning venin), and that's why Lilith kicked her away from it.
wow this is fun
I need more of your theories plzzzz 🥲
You wrote fan fiction from Xaden’s point of view?!? Thank you!
@@RingingCedarSeedlings of course, it's been tons of fun. Here's a link th-cam.com/play/PLDW1bM67Cu_tk32qqwn-QNYeVZrYW568L.html&si=s-Cn1o0K6jq9yzY0
