It wasn't on purpose, I think it just takes a long time for them to arrive
What's the point of a wall and gate, if your artillery obliterates everything
it protects artillery from GDI , because it takes time for GDI to destroy wall and gates. And while GDI tries that, artillery surely obliterates its units
