The problems with most managements is that they equate time with output. Innovate ways to achieve results in lesser time is what is required. Indian companies spend very little on training in soft skills like kaizen, 6sigma etc. Also modern gadgets, virtual meetings, self evaluation should be the basic setup in any Organisation. There's lot of unemployment in india. Indian youth want more relaxing time, family time. Company CEOs must make their work hours half and salaries also half. Hire more people to do the remaining work. So that indias unemployment problems will be solved. And the existing workforce will get more time to stare at their wives.
There is client , consultant, contractor , where as L & T and Infosys were belong to contractors ,In EPC contracts all 3 where do homework else they will not finish contract since rules are internationally accepted you can not deviate from baseline schedule (initial terms and conditions) , where as in measurable contract only contractors work more, client and consultant go on changing terms and condition there is no baseline schedule as per law, only big contractors make money because they could able to finish jobs in measurable contract mode with in time and budget making labours to work more even 18 hours a day paying only 8 hours . India should adopt EPC mode of contracts there every body need work hard so contractor alone no need to spend more time in work. only contract mode to be changed.
