I worked 14 hours a day, doing double-shifts and without taking my weekly offs, giving my 200% - because the boss loved me and appreciated my work. But I just hung around in other companies strictly from 9 to 5, giving just my 25% by pretending to work - just because the boss was too overbearing and underpaid me.

Panelists here are missing a serious point that there are two types of hard work. I'm retired but in my time I've worked in 15 companies. I worked 14 hours a day, doing double-shifts and without taking my weekly offs, giving my 200% - because the boss loved me and appreciated my work. But I just hung around in other companies strictly from 9 to 5, giving just my 25% by pretending to work - just because the boss was too overbearing and underpaid me.
Simply quit such companies and bosses ASAP.

When are they supposed to sleep, handle household chores, commute to work, or take care of their parents, kids, or families? You also expect them to work 13 hours a day for the salary you’re offering-does that seem fair? Are you sharing the company’s profits with employees to justify such long working hours?
A company has the right to ask for extra work only if it shares its profits with all employees. Employees have designated working hours-typically 8-9 hours a day, 5 days a week. Please respect those boundaries.

Ask all the govt employees to work 6 days a week. Due to the 5 day work a lot of approvals are pending which affects the work's progress.

L&T chairman is getting 5 crore per month he can work for 90 hrs whereas we are getting 45 to 50 k per month ask him to give at least 2 lakh per month we will work more than wat he is expected

Panelists here are missing a serious point that there are two types of hard work. Working hard for someone’s own self growth is one and the other is working hard to fill someone else’s (private parties’) coffers. These corporate monsters mean the latter. There is absolutely no element of nation building involved in this kind of hard work proposed by them.
Arnab Goswami right at the onset the grounds for debate were set wrong. No body said work less, Indians are already work for 40-60 hrs a week with no Incentive or Overtime and unpaid and unrecognized effort. 90 Hours is not plain 90 hours. Indians will work 24/7 but there has to be appropriate recognition and compensation and numeration, Gandhiji was quoted hard work in different sense not under the garb of Nation building exploitation takes place. No capitalist will argue to the contrary of 90 hours as it minimize or stagnates the money making by exploiting the sweat and brow of hard working Indian. PS Europe on the contrary work 35-40 as full time.
India has demographic dividend. Absolutely agreed. But, by working 90 hours a day, lot of health issues will be faced by employees. Spine and mental health issues are rising at alarming rate in India. THAT TOO WITH SAME PAY. No body is giving a damn about it. Everyone is giving their own gyan, like brain less buffalos.
