Brilliant! The Acting, the camera, the deep humming in the background and of course the quote itself. "No women, no kids." Simple, but effectfull, because he's a Professional, who sticks to his principles. Wonderful to see, that this movie isn't underrated.
Here is the thing that noone sees with this scene Gary Oldman's character Stansfield throughout the movie based on how others behave around him has a history of impulsive violence, Malky while not a good guy, he does seem to manage to steer Stan to the voice of reason and keep him under control- somewhat. after malky dies he is very broken up over it and there is noone to hold back his insanity - i believe this scene would have played out differently if it was one of his other guys
I don't think that Malky was an irredeemable monster. He was bad, but you could see that he was reasonable and I have a feeling that deep, deep, deep down he regretted his actions.
When he's holding the gun on the DEA agent at the table, there are other people at the table, and only one shot is heard from that point on, which would be for the agent. I would surmise he only killed enough people in the shop to get to his target (the DEA agent) and to impress on the rest the futility of direct action against him. The rest of the people at the table likely had no involvement in the killing of the family, posed no immediate threat, so they got a pass.
Ancient rules from before women were combatants. Western chivalry though mythologized and exaggerated, has always been a subtext in conflict. It's partially the reason the laws and rules of land warfare exist today.
Nowadays it would just be confusing for Leon, is she a man or is he a woman... Time to break some rules lol! Still my favorite movie to this day. I so had the hots for Natalie Portman when I first saw this film as a boy when it came out on VHS.
His voice is so deep, it's just perfect for the quote.
Fun Fact Wille Blood (Dreadlocked guy) was actually 37 when this was filmed but looked 21 or 22
I love how Leon quickly slides into the shadows at 0:20. He makes it look very clean and natural like he's done it a million times before.
And he was fast
*WHOOOSH*
I thought i was the only one that noticed that
Yeah I note that too it's some mystical shit
Easily the coolest scene ever.
Bring me everyone.
*EVVVVRYYYYYONEEEEEEEEEE*

@@xtzyshuadog and Benny's like what do you mean everyone and Stan just screamed at him saying everyone
Jean's voice is awesome.
I love Gary Oldman. Not recognized enough as one of the all time greats.
Magnificent in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Lol are you serious man? The guy has received plenty of recognition in the past 30 years
Leon: No women, no kids

That part of the movie is my favourite! gives me chills everytime ;)
Damn, Leon is crazy with guns.
I envy this man. He survived to tell the tale.
He's a Dead Man walking it's a debt to be collected he's only alive to deliver the message

I was thinking the same thing. Malky was his breaker-switch

And..at that moment...cop knew he was in deep shit.
What's weird is... I was just watching this movie, and it just so happens to pop in my feed. Coincidence? Can't be!
One of the best movies
Love it thank you.
28 likes and 0 dislikes... Good job Leon
You knew the rules . . 💀🔥
He came from the outside lol
He is referring to that Leon wasn't with any of the gangs in the area. Hence he's from the "outside", an unknown.
@@BusyBasaz thanks for pointing that out
He came from the outside - comma- *a pro*
Death is... whimsical today...
No women no kids. Leon, assasin with honer.
Maulky never saw it coming.

how did they know what happened if Leon killed everyone?
I hope this never gets remade or have a sequel/prequel.
Also, 0:33 is pure badassery.
They could legit make one tho.
Matilda is the cleaner now.
India already made a remake (or you can call it a "copy") back in the late 90s called Bichoo (scorpian) lol...
Yeah I’m free Tuesday

Anybody Know the correct name for the cannon in Gary Oldman's hands.
Undoubtedly a S&W 629...
00:32 i Hope one day i Can say that to somebody in any Situation.
How do they know he said no women no kids? He killed them all

Right. He was there specifically to kill Malky. He only killed who he needed to to get to his target.
It was personal
But hoo tel them that...??
Stone cold
No Kids, ya. But why no Women?

Because we need them to make more kids
A code of honor.
Who survived to tell this story?
@Donde Merlin 0:13 the person next to the guy with glasses looks like a kid. Maybe they are father and son, and Léon spared them. Or just the kid.
Who told the story while everyone was killed?
So how would he knew what malky said if Leon gunned everybody down
Most likely he was there with Malky to do the deal. Maybe he was upstairs and watched it on CCTV.
@@rotyler2177 that would make it worse because he didn’t help out but yeah
