Learning to follow God's will isn't always easy or straightforward. The Bible gives us principles to live by, but it was never designed to give us full insight into how to act in every big decision we face. If it did, it would need to be billions of words long, because life is so full of complex and unique situations. To put it another way, sometimes in our lives we will face big decisions, where more than one possible course of action fits equally well with Scripture, and where it seems unlikely that God is neutral about what we should do. In such cases, we need to either hear God's voice pointing us in one direction, or we need him to open or close doors. This is one of the reasons why God still gives gifts of the Holy Spirit today. The idea of a God who speaks ONLY through Scripture today not only makes no sense, but it is ironically very unlike the God of Scripture. The God of the Bible speaks to his children in a multitude of ways, and he never says that a time will come when he will speak only through Scripture.
It's true that God through the Holy Spirit reveals or speaks to us concerning the decisions we place before Him. But whatever The Holy Spirit reveals to us does not contradict His words in the Holy Scriptures. For He does not change and He is consistent with Who He is.
Actually the will of God is straight forward and simple. John 6:40 The will of God is for us to believe in Jesus that we may have everlasting life. Our only commandments of the New testament are to believe in Jesus and to love one another 1 John 3:22-24
Our Lord chose Apostles, instructed them. founded His Church, the Roman Catholic Church, on Peter as its head on earth (Matt 16:18-19), sent them to baptize and teach all nations to observe ALL that He has commanded, and promised to be with them until the end of ages (Matt 28:20), so that they may believe in Him through their words (John 17:20) and thus may have eternal life (John 3:16).
Our Lord said, "Whoever listens to you, listens to Me. Whoever rejects you, rejects Me and rejects the One who sent Me (Luke 10:16; John 13:20; Matt 10:40)," and "He that believes shall be saved and he that believes not shall be condemned (Mark 16: 15-16)." Whoever rejects Me and does not accept My Words has something to judge him; the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day (John 12:48). If anyone loves Me, he will keep My words (John 14:15,21,23), he that loves Me not, keeps not My words (John 14:24). Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have life in you (John 6:53)."
Protestant churches reject Our Lord by rejecting teachings of His Church whom He heads and saves (Eph 5:23). People following protestant churches do not realize that they are following wolves in sheep's clothing and, thereby, walking on the broad way to perdition. They say, "Lord, Lord", with insincere hearts and hypocrisy, to deceive unsuspecting souls, but, at judgement, will hear "I never knew you, depart from Me, you evil doers (Matt 7:23)." Whoever revolts and continues not in the doctrine of Christ has not God (2 John 1:9). Our Lord desires to save you, sheep that do not belong to His Sheepfold, and said "Them also I MUST bring, so that they will hear My Voice and there will be One Fold and One Shepherd (John 10:16)." Please don't be a fool and so gullible. Open your eyes, brothers and sisters, and understand the Truth; and save yourselves by returning to His Church where He is present always (Matt 28:20) and awaits you with open arms like the father of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32)! As we are now living through the tribulations in the end times, time is urgent!
So, in translation…just keep reading, meditating God’s word? I get frustrated because I don’t have a clue where I need to be in life. I feel all of my past goals- that I thought came from the Lord- was me following him. Is it safe to say the Lord will fulfill our desires in our hearts- despite us stumbling? Like King David?
If your desire lines up with scripture yes. But if it's something He knows is bad for you no. We all have a conscience. God isn't a genie in a bottle that grants us whatever we desire. If you are willfully sinning and not seeking God and putting Him first in your life you will not worthy to serve Him.
"We will only make good decisions in life to the degree that we follow the trajectory that God reveals to us in His Word." (Quote from this clip) I would agree with you all the way up to the point where you talked about what WE do making us worthy to serve God. It's Christ who makes us worthy. We will always fail to perfectly put Him first. But Christ makes a way for us and not only fills in our inadequacies, but makes our best works (that are like dirty rags, according the Bible) pure, holy and acceptable to God. That being said, to the previous comment from R S, God doesn't give us exact directions of precisely what to do in our lives (to the degree of "buy that house/marry that person" etc.) But yes, by spending more time deeply in His Word, meditating more broadly on what He wants from us rather than "what I need to do/can get from this", we can be given confidence in our decision making. Where he DOES give specifics on how to live our lives, strive to follow that, for sure. But realize that the Bible is not specifically tailored to you and what you need to do, but rather it is meant to give us a beautiful vision of who He is and what He has done. By meditating on Him, we can discover how we can live in relation to Him, rather than looking for specifics in cases where there aren't necessarily specifics for our personal situations. Some repetition there, but I wanted to make sure I was getting the full point across clearly without cutting corners. Hope that helps!

@@hyeminkwun9523 So let me get this straight. The bible says homosexuality is a sin. The Pope now says it's okay. The bible says we are to spread the gospel and let others know the truth. The Pope now says we are not supposed to try to tell anyone of any other faith about Christianity. Jesus said He is the gate. That in order to be saved you must believe in Him. The Pope says God will let all faiths enter the kingdom. I'm sorry the dark cloud of shame is causing the Pope to reject God's Holy word. I thank God every minute that I read the bible on my own and left the Catholic church. There are two religions in the world. One that believes in Divine intervention for salvation and the other that believes in human achievement for salvation. Grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

"Learning to Follow God’s Will" Well kind Sir...there are many "Wills of God" in the bible. And all important... However, the GREATEST "will of God": is that one believe IN Jesus (who is the name of God Almighty since 0 BC). Because any one that believes "IN Jesus"; as their only God; needs NO commandments or other wills atoll. And here's why... Jesus who IS God; is the "author" of every 613 commandments/laws; including 10 of them were etched into 2 stones by Jesus and give to Moses to give it to the Israelites! So instead of having to remember all of the commandments; and obey them too; A Born Again (those who believed IN Jesus as their God) will be guided, lead and directed; to obey automatically; as long as we listen to that voice form the Holy Spirit. Which will be with us forever. Trying to make us more righteous. Sadly, most (I'm guilty too) rarely listen to that voice that is telling us not to sin; and obey instead.. And that means: Jesus WILL punish us X 7 times for EVERY sin we commit. And if it's an "abominable sin"; Jesus will make it X 70 times. Sad, but OH so true... Like what the "h...o....m....o's" do. Who now; "Parade" it in Jesus' face; and are "Proud" of it, no less. May Jesus have mercy on them! End of Story and I rest me case... ....In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!
@@HearGodsWord Well, if everything in the Bible is supposed to have come from "God"; then it wasn't "man" that decided on 613 (or whatever the enormous number of commandments amounts to). Unless you are suggesting there is something in the Bible that is "not from God". Whodathunkit!
@@daisyleigh777 firstly, there's a difference between description and prescription. Seconly, 613 doesn't come from the Bible, it comes from the Talmud. Thirdly, there isn't even agreement as to what the 613 are. God twice gave 10 commandments.
What I don’t understand is why there is a significant difference in the father god of the Bible to The One Almighty God I believe in is all encompassing all knowing all loving all forgiving, is omnipresent and does not take human form therefore does not have a gender but the father god of the Bible is a man has a physical appearance is mean jealous lying murdering violating sacrificing punishing god? Wasn’t one of the commandments thy shalt not murder or what about love thy neighbour? Why does father gods actions not coincide with the description of what God is and how it’s never changing? ❤️ It looks to me that the father god of the Bible is an imposter and could actually be Satan. Is it possible that the Bible has already been tampered with and changed to trick us in unknowingly worshiping Satan?

This is a works based doctrine, teaching that salvation is based on your actions instead of the salvation that Jesus has already given us. The will of God is the exact same thing (John 6:40, John 3:16) to believe in Jesus for eternal life. This is the main reason I'd rather study the Bible for myself instead of pastors who all have different teachings of the same scripture when scripture interprets itself

The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These useless phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people questioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salvation that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all unrighteousness and those who follow get indignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sinners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new position in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. Give them the clear assured answer “Yes And let me tell you why Find more free resources at: www.graceambassadors.com
Jesus is Lord and Savior. We must follow and obey Him. Luke 6:46-49 But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.” Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14 Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil. John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 1 John 2:3-6 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. Acts 5:32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him. Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Learning to follow God's will isn't always easy or straightforward.
The Bible gives us principles to live by, but it was never designed to give us full insight into how to act in every big decision we face. If it did, it would need to be billions of words long, because life is so full of complex and unique situations.

Our Lord said, "Whoever listens to you, listens to Me.
"We will only make good decisions in life to the degree that we follow the trajectory that God reveals to us in His Word." (Quote from this clip)
I would agree with you all the way up to the point where you talked about what WE do making us worthy to serve God.
Whoever rejects you, rejects Me and rejects the One who sent Me (Luke 10:16; John 13:20; Matt 10:40)," and "He that believes shall be saved and he that believes not shall be condemned (Mark 16: 15-16)." @@hyeminkwun9523 So let me get this straight. "Learning to Follow God’s Will"
Well kind Sir...there are many "Wills of God" in the bible.
AMEN!
God gave 10 commandments, man decided on 613.

El & Yahweh Satan, the beginning and end, Lilith and Samael, Lucifer and Archangel Michael Mother & Father God, they are married, She is Mystery Babylon who rides the dragon - This year 2022 coming soon the 6th seal.
Yet, John Piper doesn't teach works-based salvation.

The Gospel:
Plain and
Simple
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent
beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your
minds should be corrupted from the simplicity
that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3
Ask someone today if they are saved and
you will most likely hear responses like these:
“I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I
have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been
baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good
and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually
knows the gospel that saves them. These useless phrases don’t describe a thing about what
the gospel is and has left a devastating effect
of people not knowing what it is that they are
saved from nor how they are saved; which
leaves a more serious effect of people questioning their salvation.
Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salvation that is in Christ with vague church
sounding phrases that do not communicate
anything. But rather present God’s word with
clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel:
plain and simple.
Sin was passed upon all men by one man
Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin
(Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of
condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of
this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good
works one might do we are still found sinners
in the sight of our Creator God. And all unrighteousness and those who follow get indignation and wrath. We cannot be found
righteous for by God’s law we are found sinners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even
one law we are found guilty.
It is for this reason of not being able to
create our own righteousness and being born
in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus
3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in
the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross
2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath
and judgement that was intended for us sinners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial,
and resurrection on our behalf that we are
able to have peace with God and forgiveness
of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good
news is unto all but only those that believe in
it are made righteous in Christ (Romans
3:22).
It is then after we have heard this good
news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit
and we are now part of Christ’s body the
church (Eph 1:13)
There is nothing that we need to do, no
good works that are required, and no bad
works that can separate us from our new position in Christ (Romans 8:35-39).
Faith and belief in this information from
God’s word is the gospel.
The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your
heart. The gospel is not making him lord of
your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not
being baptized with water.
So next time someone asks you if you are
saved. Give them the clear assured answer
“Yes And let me tell you why

Luke 6:46-49
But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”
Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.
For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.
John 14:15
If you love Me, keep My commandments.
John 15:10
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
1 John 2:3-6
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
Acts 5:32
And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.
Revelation 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Revelation 22:14
