First the fang, which was originally pitched as a Kopesh which is primarily a slashing weapon. Now they're making a ranged weapon and calling it a glaive? A glaive, you know the polearm that's essentially a shortsword attached to a pole.

Go with the Path of Exile style of "upgrade". Have a few generically good choices for certain builds, then create unique optipns that give some big benift and a negative you need to mitigate

It's a nice, , funny, entertaining refresher in a wonderful format. Plus I never even noticed that the Melee chest has 4 STR bonus! That's huge! Depending on how it looks on female toons I might finally replace my fighter torso for it; just really dont like how the torso looks on my character. Fashionscape is endgame, even if you're only lategame.

The higher tier the soldier the fiercer their costume such as jaguar for top level soldiers. The macauhuitl was like a wooded flat club with obsidian shards (the black squares surrounding it) the purpose for this weapon is to render your opponent unable to fight or run aka knock them out and cut their tendons. As a true warrior wouldnt kill the enemy in the battle field he would capture him and bring him back to have his heart torn out in sacrifice. Reason they sacrificed them was to give their blood to the gods so the sun would keep rising. So yea the set is based on aztec warriors basically.

Unless negative modifiers are actually buffs in disguise (like increasing killcount thus increasing points) negative modifiers are stupid and only detract from a game. Reminds me of things like "attack 25% faster but lose max hit damage" it makes it super hard to calculate what is good.

If the guardian boots work they way i hope, you bp and hit the wrong thing in hmt while standing near a pillar and recoil piles of nylos to death. same idea in baba puzzle too
Honestly with the Colosseum if it only gives debuffs and enemy buffs, then it’s not a rogue lite mode and more of a survival mode. See how long you can go. But like, if they don’t put in buffs for you the farther you go in to make you more powerful along with the enemies being more challenging then honestly that’s just a meh decision IMO. The point of a rogue lite is to get stronger as you progress. Building yourself up from nothing to get stronger against stronger enemies. If only the enemies get stronger then it’s just a survival mode. Nothing else.
I hope they add high defense pure gear, like, up to 99 defense without requiring any other gear. Maybe magic protection? Magic sounds still scare me on my defense pure, as they probably should.
i thought they were scrapping the armor being a upgrade and being even. cause they have plans to release another prayer armor ontop that they want to be better.
New armour sets just feel a little messy. Aimed at mid level players but too much going on with their effects- not especially useful for high level players and too specialist for mid level accounts. Will get cleaned up after release I imagine and fall into the same underwhelming category as inquisitors, but hopefully might find some joy in weird PvP builds for a time. I really do hope they work out though!

Hybrid sets are under-utilized. Battlestaves & Saladamanders are basically all there is, and that's a shame. Especially when you consider how well PvPers and Raid players set up their gear for all three combat styles.

The recoil effect is going to be on the three obsidian shields, odium etc not on boots
