- This country belongs to whoever shows up. And do you know who shows up for every election? Old people. But only 46% of people18-34 years old voted in the last election.
So the elderly have a disproportionate influence on our politics and our country. And a lot of them would like to keep it that way.

My son is 17 & eager to vote when he finally can. Also other kids his age that I meet while housecleaning in upper middle class homes are also very politically opinionated. These teens who cannot yet vote are vibrantly politically aware and I feel confident of our future, sadly not this election but in the future. Speaking as an old person I do not feel that the ad made me out to be a villain. Thank you for your concern though. The stereotypes depicted in the ad are based on statistical data. This data represents an accurate depiction of trends as they currently exist in the real world (that by and large old people trend toward conservatism and young people trend toward not giving a fuck, old people vote and young people not so much). If you do not care for these facts, or if you don't understand them, I can appreciate your confusion. Sadly though, you missed the humor. It really is a joy to be able to laugh at this without taking offense.

The thing about age is it skews your perspective. So much experience makes you feel like you’ve seen it all. As a young voter, I didn’t vote for anyone last election. None of the candidates were desirable. I decided not to vote and a lot of others did the same which earns us the title of “entitled”. I don’t really see how we’re “entitled” because we want the best president for what is supposed to be the best country. They say pick the better of the evils but settling for less is what got this country into the position it’s in. The first thing this ad reminded me of was the propaganda posters the Nazis used to vilify Jews. We shouldn't have to make others seem evil in order to encourage voting. Maybe we could emphasize patriotism instead of hate and respect others opinions instead of bashing them if they are different from our own.

I'm no Trump supporter, but question just how effective this ad will be. It's borderline insulting to begin with, and the message, once you think about it for a moment, is obvious. It's also likely true what they are saying. Older white people will continue to vote in high numbers, and younger people still won't very often. Oh, and it may shock some people but some younger people are actually Trump supporters, or at the very least are wise enough to have figured out the system is corrupted with money, and the Democratic party is 99% as manipulated by bribery as the Republican party, and offers a barely noticeable alternative that can't be trusted either, with virtually no candidates, no ballot measures, aimed at changing this, or truly draining the cesspool of corruption.

TL:DR Wrong on most of your points. Mostly you seems to be under informed/not thinking about this in detail enough. Let me explain:
Let me go point by point real quick: 1. Probably the only thing that I agree with is not many people who were not going to vote are going to see this ad and then vote based on it. It has 240k views by today, and most likely would be lucky to double that by the election. They'd be lucky to get 240 people to vote who were not going to and almost no election is decided by 240 votes. And that would be spread across the country. That said, you gotta try.
2. Problem is, Millennials are getting older too, and the older edge are the age Baby Boomers were when THEY started voting. And it is at this point I would like to post polling like this: www.people-press.org/2018/03/01/the-generation-gap-in-american-politics/
In most of cases shown in those polls, there is at least a 20% gap between Mil and BB. And that trend has been consistent for over a decade. Even if Mil wind up becoming more conservative as they get older, they'll never match BB. Also, in both cases at least 20% of each group has the opposite opinion of the rest of their group. But that doesn't mean they are even near the same size as the majority of their group.
3. There are MASSIVE differences in the Left v Right/Dem v Rep in policies if you look at anything past economic issues. And even when just looking at economic issues, while those in the reigns of control (I'm looking at you Nancy Pelosi) are far too close to the Republicans for most Mil taste, there few people who are close to lock step with the majority of Mil are in the Dem party.
Pretty sure the entire idea of this ad is to get younger people to vote. It's not telling people how to vote. How is that a bad thing?
Edit: ok yes... just rewatched it again. It is more of a left leaning pitch, but the point still stands. Young people need to be taught that they need to vote.

Despite all the hopeful thinking that new progressives are going to change things, the Democratic party remains firmly entrenched in the hands of an elite group of plutocrats connected to moneyed interests that have a tight grip on the political system across the board.
The one thing you did not address is that the BB generation is going to shrink, almost exponentially, in the years to come, simply as they die off. Granted, it's going to take 10-20 years before we really start to see the millennials vote numbers thus match the boomers, and it also remains to be seen just how much they too change, though it's hard to imagine a majority of them become McConnell conservatives.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best ads I have ever seen.
It's so true about old people! I went to vote in city and county elections a while back and it was all old people everywhere. They looked at me like I was some kind of alien who had invaded their planet. I'm not even that young, nearly halfway between college and middle aged, but I felt like a baby next to these geezers. This is a perfect example for why nobody should live forever. The only real way to progress and improve our society is for old people to die. Sounds harsh when I say it out loud but it's true and an inescapable reality of life.

Democrats aren't perfect, but they still believe in accountability. Which is what you need for a functional Republic. The Republican Party have made it clear there are no lines they wont cross to stay in power, NONE, that way leads to a Banana Republic where the law is and what is right/wrong depends on what those in power say it is. When I first saw this video, I was so shocked because they was saying that they can't keep up which lives matter, school shootings are bad and act like they don't care cause haven't went to school like 50 years ago. I think to myself wow, I really hope they don't feel like this cause what if that was somebody that they care about. To me this didn't persuade me to vote, It just made me think about how America is acting like equal, respectful and loving people.(don't get me wrong this video was very moving, just wish they do it in another way). And, I don't care who is going win because to me it will never change; cause if vote Republicans the Democrats won't be happy versus and the house can't agree on anything because of it.
