Lucy, thank you so much for your honesty… much of what you say (without the current uncomfortable issue) tells my story for the past few months during the semester. Getting out of bed was hard, eating was honestly just a nuisance, being professional in the classroom was a chore. I think without the knowledge of how hard it was for my students to be back after so much time off, My hole would be even deeper. I know this is difficult - hope you can keep going with your inciteful reviews. Don’t be concerned with sharing personal updates unless you feel comfortable 💗🌸

Brilliant video Lucy, so great that you feel you speak out so honestly, we should all be doing that, it would help so many around us, just like you have and are doing with you vlog and your blog. Hoping that the next few months bring you some peace and relief from all the recent stresses and unpleasant skin conditions. So proud of you. xxx

Thank you, I'm glad you think so! I got sick of being so quiet about it and keeping it all to myself so I thought I'd share instead! I'm feeling better than I was which is nice and focusing more which is a hugely welcome change so yes, hopefully some calm will follow and skin treatment! xxx

Congratulations, and congratulations on entering too - what a step forward.
Glad the really bad phase is subsiding at the moment. The skin thing sounds nasty. Total sympathy with having to show things to medics that you don't want to, I hate this.

Thank you so much, it was certainly a big step for me to actually enter! Yeah the skin is no fun at all and getting worse since I was taken off the medicated creams. Hopefully I'll get my referral letter through soon and won't have to wait too long to be seen, it's pretty miserable but trying to keep my chin up. Thanks for understanding!

@@ColouringInTheMidstOfMadness fingers crossed for you. This referral system adds to it all being so hard to cope with. I really hate having to go and take my clothes off cos bits of my body are betraying me! Adds to the trauma of dealing with whatever is wrong. I try to remind myself that medics see personal things multiple times a day. But it didn't help. To be honest I only managed it because it was life or death and at that point there wasn't much point making a fuss. But I still hated it. So glad we have the internet so we can connect and have a therapeutic moan🙃

@@dees3179 I so agree, this will be the 5th person in a year to get to see my bits, I'm hoping 5th time is a charm! The last consultant was male which was a bit of a shock, thankfully I'd looked up the team so realised I had a good chance of being seen by a man and I get that they're all professionals etc but it was quite weird as it was the first time I'd had a male doctor examine me without being fully clothed! Thankfully my mum came and there was a female nurse too. Not sure what the set up next time will be, Joe's managed to avoid having to come in with me to any appointments so far but if it's a man again or anything painful then I'll have to drag him in. Lucky guy! Yes thank goodness for the internet so we can overshare in public and commiserate together! It's so nice to find my people! 😂

@@ColouringInTheMidstOfMadness virtual hugs and the very best of luck to you.
I got to the point I was annoyed that there had to be a chaperone, regardless of gender of Dr which I wasn't really registering anyway, because although I know they are present to protect the Dr against allegations and me from the Dr as far as I was concerned it was just another person seeing stuff I wanted to keep private.
Overshare on the internet! We can be indignant on your behalf.
Also, autocorrect thinks 'allegations' should be 'alligators'. Would have been a more interesting appointment......

@@dees3179 I wondered if I should be selling tickets, there seem to be more and more people in the room don't there?! That's hilarious about the autocorrect, I'll remember that in my next appointment I'm sure! 😂

I hear you, itching is awful, I have fibromyalgia and anxiety and the itching in random areas is one of my symptoms and there is no physical reason for the itching it's purely neurological. Just telling you this because antihistamine tablets helps me when it starts, don't know if you have tried these or even if they will help you but I do hope it settles down soon. Congratulations on the award too

So sorry to hear you've suffered too, it's just horrid! I've been taking antihistamine for months now in case it would help but it's not made a noticeable difference. Hopefully the specialist will be able to shed some light when I eventually get seen. Thanks so much for your lovely comment!
