Went to store to buy a Neo and left with a mini SE 2.. no regrets. Close in price if you get the Neo bundle. Double the battery life and a lot more fun
An important tip is to change a couple of settings the moment you get connected with the app. For one, you want to switch it from 1080p to 4K, change the aspect ratio to 4:3 so that you are utilizing the entire sensor, and probably most important, you want to decrease the sharpening into the negatives so you don't have such a digital looking video, and do the same thing for noise reduction, which is like the same thing as a selfie beauty filter where it washes out and over smooths all of the textures in the video.
@@AlteroThai it seems to produce better quality video than the Mini 2 or now "the Mini 4K", it provides some impressive automated shooting modes that are great for small creators or people on vacation, and can function as a capable FPV drone as long as you aren't trying to do flips and rolls. It's a highly capable little machine with barely any profit to be made at that price. I think many people only view it as a "toy" because it's the first time they've ever had to take a step back in video quality, but for that price and the quality you are still getting I still find it to be an impressive piece of tech. The original Hover Air X1 was a fast less capable machine with a much lower quality camera, all at twice the price, and no one called it a toy when it came out. Regardless of what you think of it, this drone could very well be what saves us from an all-out widespread DJI ban. The price, beginner-friendly flying experience, and ability to upgrade your experience in multiple stages mean that this "toy" will likely significantly increase the number of DJI owners in the US, putting a lot more pressure on law makers to not go through with a complete civilian ban.
@@DanielCrist I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings by calling Neo a 'toy'. If you love it, I am very glad for you. Can it be an attractive entry-level mini drone to be popular? Probably yes. Not many people care about video quality that much as some nerds like me. I can describe the video quality of Neo as pixelated and oversharped, comparable to how mobile phones could make videos 10 years ago. Which is fine to use on mobile phones and social media for the most people. I guess DJI knows what they are doing, and they need to sell outdated camera modules and censors in some niches. Good business. I had to make a quick search for 'DJI Mini 4k' video footage. Well, in my eyes, it's much better than Neo. And Hover Air X1 is much better too. That's why it was never called a toy (as you said). Just my humble opinion.

Can you use the DJI Mic 2 with the DJI Neo?
I was wondering the same thing
What a scary t-shirt 😮
The title is a good joke 😂
Thx glad you found it funny 🤣
It just needs a minor tweak and it would be accurate. Something like "The DJI Neo is the Best [First/Beginner/Starter] Drone"
@@DanielCrist True! But still I can't forgive DJI for releasing such a toy 😆
