Loved the first question - What is the purpose of a TV network? (to sell advertising) (to their audience) Which also applies when launching a Web Site and it's Internet Web Series ... I am currently putting together, and I wasn't sure if we wanted to go online or to a network. (I think we will keep it online)
I am interested in pitching a TV show that I had an idea for and your tutorial helped out quite a bit. I am a creative writer and think this show and maybe another one I have in mind have very good potential. Do you take on clients that potentially have something good to market to the TV stations? Just wondering. Thank you. Patrick Czech
Great videos. Do you know where I can find an example of a TV program run-down? I want to see a minute by minute breakdown of a 30 minutes or 60 minutes show and where the commercials come in and how long they should be.
Great video, if someone has a finished product that meets the requirements of all you have shared, does that person need a show runner or media representative or can you pitch it on your own? I apologize if this is covered in your other series messages.
This video came handy. I'm in the middle of researching the best way to present this great reality show concept that my sisters and I are willing to pitch with a family base network. It's the kind of story that could wow any producer. Ur video helped a little. I would very much appreciate ur input. We could exchange emails if you're comfortable with that. Please advise.
How does a network like HBO work with advertising. Bc all I see is HBO content behind HBO programming. Or is it solely on subscription base like Netflix and they make there money from the users.
Sounds like you should type it. Even though handwritten is more personal, typed is more professional - and you are attempting to establish a professional relationship. Hope that helps.
If somebody has a script but doesn't know how to go about pitching to networks can you work with them or collaborate and handle the pitching side of it by approaching networks as a business partnership since it seems you know a lot about the TV industry and maybe have contacts or friends in the business?
If it something that I feel I can do easily, I'm always looking for opportunities. But in reality I refer everyone to a manager or an attorney. They're usually the ones that can guide you better to the steps you may need to take.
Your welcome. Question, I applied to a screen writing contest. Winners will be announced in June. I am writing a letter to one of the heads of the committee to first thank him, and to also share the log line and reasons why I feel it's what they are looking for. My plan was to write this out by hand and send it in. Some friends disagree and say I should type it. What do you think?
I'm writing the script for a first episode the back story and characters if I write it in detail with almost everything I think it is a long story and a big ending to the show
Hands down the best pitch instructional video on TH-cam. Thank you
