This is the best "How to Pitch" video I've seen. 70 videos came up and they were all way too vague and completely ignored the concept of understanding the audience and the advertisers. Excellent content. Thank you so much. I hope you do pitch coaching. I'm sold!
There are many ways to get your idea to a TV network. The most common is having an agent/manager/lawyer set up a meeting for you. However, there are many stories of people going around all the conventional ways.
Thanks. Yeah, I've sold quite a few shows. Not all of them make it on air though. Search for "ceasar and chuy" or "latino 101". Or search for "Keu Reyes". A few things I've gotten on should pop up.
Needed this Keu! Thank you for taking the time to put this together and share with the world! I like everyone else has a winner in my head! I know it will sell! :) Was curious if the network will do a buyout? How much money can one expect to make/get for a show? Lets say it makes a season run. Thanks!
There are so many variables when selling a show. Obviously if you're at the big networks, you're looking at hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, if you're a star. But most shows sold these days are to cable outlets with continuing dwindling budgets and competition. So although you may be able to still sell for thousands of dollars, the opportunities are becoming more scarce and competition more fierce. It's very lucrative, if you can get in. Although there are some people making great money making TH-cam videos these days.
Also, my idea falls into the reality show area. Therefor, I am thinking I will not have a script. How should I go about it then? Just an outline with a video sample to show? Thank you!
So I have a question, so lets say i come up with the idea for an animated TV series and i pitch it to lets say Nickelodeon, and they buy it. How much money are we talking here?...if my idea makes it on air. Are we talking millions or thousands?...THANKS!!
Is there an email where I could contact you? I have an idea for a reality show, which I think could really be a brilliant and informative show and would be appealing to advertisers. I love these videos and they have helped, yet I can't seem to get my idea and presentation quite right. I'm very serious about getting this idea out, so I'd really like a professional opinion and a little advise to help make this presentation more successful. Could you help me?
