Nice shooting, mate, subscribed. You should have a coach if you do not have one yet. Makes it easier to get better. The pressure of the camera will help you in Tournaments ;-)
A really decent 72 arrows in windy conditions. Cheers. P.S. I thought I heard something loose on your bow a sort of buzz after you release (not the usual nice low thrum) usually its a loose screw or nut on a sight or it could be a limb not seated fully/firmly.
Thank bro, was pretty pleased with the shooting. Yea you're right about the buzz, it's usually my sight screw that controls windage at the front, that's what gets loose
At the moment I don’t shoot more than 3 days a week (200 - 600 arrows). But last year I was shooting like 5-6 days a week (800 arrows+). Now because I’m shooting less I put a greater emphasis on having a strong intention each session which has been working well for me. What Id say is to emphasise quality over quantity with every training session, have a clear intention before you train. That way you can improve as quick as possible.
@@giorgiothearcher Yes exactly a bit of head dip too. The way the national coach of Spain explained it to me, is that you want to create a chain. So it isn't just pull the back arm back and push. It is creating a rotational movement where your drawing tricep and scapula are moving back and around which pushes the bow arm foward. Or you can also think about it as if you are slightly opening your chest. With your head staying still. And think of it like a continuation of when your coming into alignment at full draw. One more thing just before you start expanding relax (Which can be lowering your chest by breathing out) and ground yourself for a moment, this prevents the flash or reaction when releasing.
I'll definitely look into having more of a rotation as I work on my expansion and try some of the other stuff you said. Appreciate the feedback Raphael 👍
your content is really cool, I'm still u14 I was shooting a good amount of 10/X in 30m and with my dumb release pinched and missed a arrow and for like 2 months I'm stuck with the fear that when come full draw my head is like "your gonna miss, you going to pinch ,you'll break your arrows you only have 11" and I'll miss again AND I HAVE STUPID TOURNAMENT COMING NEXT SUNDAY it's still 18m BUT....................i have no mental health to shoot, your great tho
Glad you're enjoying the content, if you have any recommendations for new content let me know ☺️. Also I get the issue you're having, can be tough. If you're not already, try squeeze your finger spacer more and it should spread out your fingers. Also if you know 100% what causes you to pinch the nock, once you learn not to do it, you then need to trust that it isn't an issue for you anymore and try move on. That is easier said than done though. Good luck at your tournament and don't take archery too seriously because at the end of the day, it's just a game 🏹
love this type of video. You are one of the realist archers on this platform, keep it up Giorgo!💘🏹
Thank you 🙏🏼, glad you enjoyed the video 😊. Also if you have any video recommendations let me know 🏹
@@giorgiothearcher definitely more like these and also the archery asmr videos! those are what drawn me in 😆
Incredibly chill content, would love to see more videos like this.
Glad you’re enjoying it 😊
What was the poundage you're shooting? Also love this content this is the first time I'm seeing it and I love the presentation already❤!
Sorry I forgot you mentioned it in the video!
In this video I'm shooting around 46lbs. Happy to hear you're enjoying the content 😊 more to come soon...
All good, (I hope I said 46 in the video) 😳
Grip. That finger movement causes points :) Same for me. The tiniest movement on the grip will make a big impact on the arrows flight
Yea you're right tbh, I do move my fingers quite a lot while I'm expanding. I gotta work on it, appreciate the feedback😊
@@giorgiothearcher Yup just rest those fingers and keep them still
@@raphael6488 The fingers. Grip should be final when you raise your bow and not change. It's affecting your score.
This exactly I noticed on the majority of reds and outer golds his grip hand tensed or moved. Otherwise his form is excellent. Cheers.
Love it G. Excellent commentary and come to Liverpool to shoot a video please

Keep training, you can do it 👊
yes love thissss - surely try compound soon
That’ll be a good video idea tbh 😂
I just started archery 3 weeks ago, so its all great content for me. Just curious how often you shoot and how many arrows per session?

What do you focus one while expanding? because it looks like you are just sliding/pulling your hooking hand back.
Yea my expansion is weird atm, I’m pulling like u said and doing a bit of a head dip. What suggestions do you have?
