I don't mind the bulkiness of cases for these phones. I like the slim factor. And all cases I get have to have the hinge protector. One i just got the other day has a compartment for a couple cards. Super convenient. No size difference between without.

5:11 for me, i always end up taking those off when i eventually need some brightness. But whats cool about it on this phone is that i have another larger screen without it. So really im not sacraficing anything by using a privacy screen on the much smaller display. This is a must have for me with this phone
Yep, you got it! Debating on taking it off due to the clarity, but I love having that privacy when I'm traveling and I'm sitting next to someone.

Have that controller for my fold 4. Total game changer, literally. For cases, ive settled on a latercase with an ohsnap grip, and 2 ringke pen holders toward the hinge side for the pen. It's not the prettiest, but by far the most practical setup ive found. Ive tried most all of em. Cant stand the bulk added by the big cases or the pen holder on the side by the finger reader.

The Torras case comes with both S Pen 4, & 5 options, Fold 4's S pen inserts into the case as your showing it in this video.
theres a smaller black rubber insert that will accept the S Pen 5...
It' may appear that the 5 pen wont press into the insert, but just that you haver to insert the pen sideways...

I bought the torras mag safe case..it came with a rubber insert to hold the newer slimmer s pen, or it could be taken out and will hold the older fold 4 s pen version. I bought mine back in October

@@funkam0nkey yes it did, i measured it and clipped off the extra and had a c instead of a complete circle, charges fine with no issues an attaches magnetically to my iphone charging stand as well.
I had that controller for like a year and a half. Im still using it for my note 20 ultra. Great controller
Great accessories
Instead of the Bluetooth controller get the GameSir X2 or the GameSir X2 Pro, they are usb C, but they hug the device just like the controller that you showed, there are no cables... Also the GameSir controllers have a passthrough charging, so you can play and charge your phone at the same time.... I got the original GameSir X2 and I use it to play on my S23 Ultra and Z Fold 5, the S24 Ultra is coming in a few days.
How good is that rig? Is it meant for this playform?
Does this work with the spigen slim armor pro?
The gamesir controller has the usb c port on the left and works with the official gadget case on (without gadget)!

What YT reviewers won't tell you about the Fold 5 S-pen case is the S-pen is loose inside the holder, spins and falls out. 2:11 the previous S-pen Fold edition that came out with the Z Fold 3 is compatible with Z Fold 3,4,5 and is what probably fits inside the Torras case
That's a defect. You would return it and get a new one. My spen is held in and is solid with no movement.
Its the blue colorway that loose
I have the black pen case and the pen is firmly situated. It's a fine case, all I need.
There was a first batch issue with the blue cases and Samsung offered replacements.

As others said. There was a defect. Mainly with the blu version. My cream one doesn't wiggle at all.
Contact torras and get the z fold 5 spen attachment. Some people haven't been getting the attachment in the box.
So as of now, it now supports the new spen, its an insert that goes into the slot that makes it for the new pen
My Z Fold 5 came with a free S-Pen Fold edition. I purchased the Torras case, but after a few days with it I returned it. I found the pen mount on the side interfered too much accessing the side buttons with the phone closed. So the fingerprint reader function wouldn't work properly.
I wish Samsung allotted internal space to keep the S-Pen mounted within the phone body itself, like the S22 Ultra. That was the best design. I'm opting to not carry my S-Pen, and only use it at home...which is unfortunate.
Loved with video dude! would you know if you could use that MagSafe ring sticker along with the official spen case? Would the mag safe hold through the case?
@@arn0ld93 MagSafe rings are intended to be located on a specific point on the back of the phone at the wireless charging spot. The pen holder on the Samsung S-Pen case would off-set the ring from that charging spot. So, it might possibly fit on the back, but you wouldn't be able to charge via MagSafe chargers (though it should still hold the device to a MagSafe compatible phone holder ring). And I don't believe that trimming away the portion of the ring which would overlap the pen holder would work either as any MagSafe connection couldn't lay flat on the ring due to the pen holder bump out...
Can u cover the material used on the cover eg.. TPU or polycarbonate
I have that same controller since the Fold 4 and it's so nice with the Fold 5 especially with the pen case. I play Xbox Gamepass and Emulation.
Question for you. Does gamepass have a lot of games to play on the zfold with the controller? I can not even get Call Of Duty to work with the controller. Even though its connected it is not recognizing it

Now i'm gaming with a GAMESIR X2 Bluethooth on FOLD 5, but for my big hand is too much tiny.. GamePass has a lot of great games but here in italy with our connection so slow i don't recommend it!

I got the Samsung case with a stand for the Fold 5. It looks great, BUT the back case did have some wiggle room to it. Not a lot, but enough to be annoying when you use it, especially considering it's an $80 case. The front case was fine because it had adhesives, but I was disappointed, considering it's literally the Samsung case for a Samsung phone. I even visited the Samsung store, but they said there was nothing they could do about it. I ended up putting some two-sided tape to fix it, but I'm really disappointed in Samsung for this, considering it's an amazing phone.

The Nacon MGX Pro will eventually stop working because it is not actually meant to fit the fold. I've bought two and the analog stick and triggers eventually gave out on both unless the controller is closed now. Wouldnt recommend at all.
I had a s pen case for about 2 hours and i returned it immediately. My pen kept falling out of the case, I was really shocked that could happen, especially for the price of the case

You know, not too bad with the privacy protector, but I'm assuming if you don't clean your screen often, the build up might drive you insane, but mine has been great so far!

The only case I liked and got is Carbon slim case front and back from Aliexpress, 35$ but it is worth it! The rest cases are all not slim at all.

Been using it with the dbrand skin since Day 1 really and it's holding up really well! Would highly suggest taking the micro fiber cloth it comes with and really 'polish' or run the microfiber cloth on the edges around the skin to really make sure the sides and corners stick to the phone and give you that seamless feel and look.

Technically it should work. If you have it maybe the Torras case might be best for you. But they might've fixed the case already to fit just the new S Pen.

Yeah I hear those are pretty good. A bit thicker than what I recommended but theoretically should work the same.

Those controller adapters, if it can't be usb-c wired, then I'm sorry that's definitely a design oversight. I'm typing this on my z fold 5, and I'm sad to say that I may take this back and just get the s23 ultra. Better camera, and no weird form factor screen...

Why were the cases picked out ones that will not protect your phone at all when its dropped and neither of them have spine protection which is the weakest part of the phone which wasn't even mentioned horrible video you basically have no idea how the phone works or whats good for it

I will NEVER buy a samsung fold again!!! My fold 3 (never dropped) main screen got a black line down the middle one monthe after warrenty expired (70% use was done on front screen). They didn't give a sh_t!!!

I used fold 2 and here's what I have to say about fold phones. Do not buy fold. Yes it's the most productive smartphone that turns into a tablet but even with all the refinements it is going to break after two years. First you're going to lose the outer screen just completely black. Then you're going to lose speakers. Then you're going to lose bluetooth or wifi. With that being said let me tell you the reason- the hinge basically has a life span which Samsung claims is 200000 folds but in reality it's less than that and given if you use it on average 50 folds a day it will break within 1 year if you use it about 20-30 folds it will break within 2 years. Now the worst part most of the fold owners had problems outside the warranty i.e after 2 years or so and the repair cost is 1000 $. When I did some digging on reddit and Samsung xda community forum I found fold 3 and 4 users also with the same problems. So no matter what you tubers say about folds I'm never buying one again period. No buts no ifs
