    A tip!...file the sharp edges where all the wires are going to sit,minute vibrations can eat away the wires eventually, I'm also building one for fishing purposes.

      That is a very good tip. For my smaller racing drones I cover with hot glue as well.

    Tip two 44:20 do not tighten the bottom arms fully ,leave it loose,it makes it easier to line up the top plate perfectly, once top plate is perfectly aligned, the bottom plate can be fully tightened.

    Can we fold this Frame, I mean not directly, but by removing screws when we travel? Will it damage if we frequently remove/add screws for folding/fitting?

    • @dawsonplummer695
      @dawsonplummer695  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you actually could fold the frame by removing the screws, you may have also notice I didn’t shorten any wires but zip tied them. There is also an add on you can buy for retractable legs (Landing gear). Hope this helps and good luck.

    Can you build fixed wing with Pixhawk 2.4.8?

    • @dawsonplummer695

      I was actually considering building one myself, but for now there are other websites on how to build fixed wing aircraft with the Pixhawk flight controller and they’re very reliable.

    which ESC are you using?

    Would a FlySky FS-i6X work for piloting a Pixhawk-based S550 hexacopter?

    • @dawsonplummer695
      @dawsonplummer695  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the main difference is just the binding process for your transmitter and receiver. The Pixhawk programming is the same. I just looked it up on the internet, and it looks like you can do an i-BUS connection. I am not sure what the max distance is so if you use this controller make sure you program the default protocol for landing in place or return to home when you lose the signal.

    I am using SIMONK 30A ESC, I bought them on amazon, they were paired with the motors. Here is the link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XQYTZQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    I had a pixhawk 2.1...didn't like the programming part,too much to do in terms of programming and GPS rotation so many times,its crazy compared to the naza v2...dji v2 is simple and precise can do it in 10mins on PC and flying in no time!

    • @dawsonplummer695
      @dawsonplummer695  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you are correct about programming the NAZA vs Pixhawk. My 1st quad build was with a naza and I would be lying if I said that DJI does not build quality products because they actually do. Their functionality is very superior compared to other flight controllers. I decided to go with the Pixhawk autopilot because you can do more Advanced programming and I like the open source code. In addition there are some significant cyber vulnerabilities with NAZA. I believe DJI has corrected it with more recent platforms. Regardless you are correct about simplicity.

    Can we use 6s lipo for this battery

    • @dawsonplummer695
      @dawsonplummer695  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can, you just need to make sure it’s still around 11.1V. I use a Lipo 5000mA at 11.1V and 3s but 6s will work too.
