So glad to see One Plus One still open. It was my go-to place for platelunches for my sons who played football. Their food is excellent and the prices doesn't break your wallet. So many places to choose from in that area. To fill my sons up, this is the place.

Thank you for making this video! I just moved into the area and I had no idea where I could get good cheap eats. It's so funny cuz I too always pass by the One plus one drive inn and never thought of even going there, but now I will!
I believe a choice of salad (Toss or Mac salad) comes with all plates including combos, but the fried rice and noodle upgrades are in place of the rice and salad in addition to the extra cost.

When you sub for fried rice or noodles you lose the mac salad. Love this place and always ordered the katsu and teri chicken fried rice combo. Put you out for the rest of the day. Used to work close to there and go at least once a week. Now it’s a bit of a drive so can’t go as often.

I’d like to recommend Garden Isle Cafe In Waipahu for Cheap Eats! Check their yelp. You will love it there. Every week they also have lunch specials at 7.25 and 8.25 each. And they give a lot. My favorite and what they are known for is their S&P pork chops and their homemade hamburger steak! The best!
Amanda's plate lunch cuz I love lemon chicken and fish. I would pick plain rice tho so not everything is oily and salty. My fave mixed plate is shoyu chicken and fish,plain rice,Mac salad. $40 USD would get you almost 5 Chinese combo plates(rice or noodles with 2 choices of protein,no mac salad😁) in Vancouver Canada but with 1/3 less of everything than you guys get in HI. Portion sizes across the US mainland and HI are larger than Canada.

I’d like to recommend Garden Isle Cafe In Waipahu for Cheap Eats! Check their yelp. You will love it there. Every week they also have lunch specials at 7.25 and 8.25 each. And they give a lot. My favorite and what they are known for is their S&P pork chops and their homemade hamburger steak! The best!
They are on our to do list! So many people have said good things about that place! Mahalo for reminding us🤙🏻

Amanda's plate lunch cuz I love lemon chicken and fish. I would pick plain rice tho so not everything is oily and salty. My fave mixed plate is shoyu chicken and fish,plain rice,Mac salad. $40 USD would get you almost 5 Chinese combo plates(rice or noodles with 2 choices of protein,no mac salad😁) in Vancouver Canada but with 1/3 less of everything than you guys get in HI. Portion sizes across the US mainland and HI are larger than Canada.
