    Dim sum is the general term for the large range of small Chinese dishes that are served in Chinese restaurants. You can also buy individual buns, cakes and dumplings such as gok jai, also known as half moon (because of the shape) in Hawaii. There are specialty Chinese restaurants that serve dim sum where waitresses roll around carts with small dishes filled with piping hot items ranging from soup, noodles and delicacies made with seafood, chicken, pork, beef or vegetable. There are so many items to choose from as your senses are awakened and you want to try them all. It is an experience not to be forgotten.

    Teacher, I am Korean. I subscribed because watching your video was helpful. You are also learning English. You are healthy. The weather is very cold in Korea.

      Thanks for watching from so far. English is the only language I know. In Vegas it sometimes gets in the low 40's but I'm sure it's colder there.

      @HawaiisPickleLady  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The skin is the same. I have to tackle that one as the wrap is more complicated. My mom used to make ma tai su but I've never made it. That's another thing to practice.

      There are many ways of making the filling. Yes, it is ono eaten with rice, especially when you have left overs.

      Just go to Chinatown. My favorite store for staples is Canton Market on Hotel. Many of the spices are in small quantities.

      I would steam them then freeze. But of course not as good. I've only seen steamed ones frozen in the stores.
