This Ruching is beautiful. I use to do this to the yoke of my daughters dresses back in the 70s, but I think we called it something else. I never thought to do it in my arts. So thank you so much for this video. And I want you to know that I love your longer videos because I am usually stitching something while I am enjoying what you have to share. This way I do not have to stop what I am doing to find another video to watch! You are amazing.
Wow. How funny, just watching this now, filmed my video for tomorrow yesterday (if that makes sense 😂) we ARE on the same wavelength, definitely birds of a feather. I am not ruching but in the same ballpark 😊❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much for this video. You have set my creative juices flowing with the potential for ruched cloth, tree trunks, sandy beaches, waves. Oh I'm going to have so much fun!!
This is so cool. I have only been embroidering for a few months but I am LOVING it. I’ve been obsessed with stitching birds lately and I can see so much I could do with this! Love the texture!!
I love your method of creating. I am so happy you are not falling into the "prompt" method that other slow stitchers are doing on similar sites. Please keep up with "you doing you!"
the ruched wing is awesome!!! I love it---it started out looking like a mess and gradually changed as you sewed it into your bird and amazing. Woo-hoo!!!
You're a wonderful artist. Todays Quote: "NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE TELL YOU, WORDS AND IDEAS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.” -Robin Williams. Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞
Wow Jeri i am loving this technique of ruching !! i love that you used it on your birdie's wing where it looks so natural and perfect. thanks for sharing this idea with us all. i can see so many other applications for this technique. very inspiring. thank you! i also appreciate your idea for a yellow day. you're always thinking Jeri! linda from california
Hi Linda, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I also did a Dot using the technique, the video got kinda long so I edited it out. I'll use it in another video so I can show it. Sending a big hug your way! 💜
Very sweet project. Being a big Scottie dog person, I gotta think about how to make an army of textured Scotties to adorn a jacket I have been working on for years. Thanks for the inspiration
Oh this ruching cloth is so beautiful; I am working in a small batting book that I made and this would be just perfect for a page...thank you so much for this wonderful idea...I so enjoyed this whole video--your bird is just adorable... lovely work hugs, Julierose🥰
Hello Jerri.. you cease to amaze me .. that is lovely yet more inspiration for me…. I am thinking if I make one twice as big than my dot and incorporate it in my Dots which I love .. thank you x
Thanks for showing the rush technique, such a great way to give texture! Love the little bird with it. It may take me a minute to finish my dot project but I love working on it!💖🍀
It's not the heat, it's the humidity...a favorite saying in the south. I went to my art hut looking for supplies in my art hut and now all my sewing, watercolor, calligraphy, grandchildren art supplies are in the yard under a tarp. But hey, it needed cleaning.
Great technique, thank you! I also owe you an apology re :- your Facebook group - I didn’t realise the Instagram symbol had been embedded in a video I shared when I added the music (which I’ve now removed) … my bad 😥💕
Feeling rejected! I tried to join the Facebook page but was wasn't accepted ! Pooff! No explanation no option to retry. Was it something I said or didn't say? Utter devastation
Oh Julie! I'm so glad you came here to tell me... If all the questions aren't answered they don't let you in. But I just looked up your name Julie Pearse, I couldn't find that you even applied. What name might you be using on FB? Go try again, I'll keep my eye on it
A daughter of the Creator creating! I love it. Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦

Oh, I love it too!!!

Thank you!!! 💜
Love the bird and love the ruched fabric.
Thank you! 😊 💜💜💜
I love the ruching. 💖 And our flock. 😊💖💖
Deb, I believe you were the one that asked for the Textured Fabric?! Yes? This was for you! 💜💜💜
Try ruching in a wavy line. It makes as really interesting texture. Do it on a length ribbon and it makes a pretty flower.
Thanks for the tip! Love that idea! 💜💜💜
I love your bird❣️
Thanks so much Denise! 💜💜💜
I love this, ❤❤❤
I'm so glad, it was a challenge to create but so much fun! 💜
Pinch and enlarge when I need to see better 💜 waynesville NC USA 🇺🇸 veteran clauston is awesome💜
YES! Great reminder for others to see too! 💜
Did you create the color in the bird fabric or buy it that way? I love it!
The wing is hand dyed and the belly was in one of my eco print baths. I'm sure if you use plain cloth with the ruching it will still look great! 💜
I'm gonna try , but if it doesn't work I'm blaming you ! 🤣🤣❤️
Ha! C'mon, it will work! 💜💜💜
Great technique, thank you! I also owe you an apology re :- your Facebook group - I didn’t realise the Instagram symbol had been embedded in a video I shared when I added the music (which I’ve now removed) … my bad 😥💕
I appreciate that! I was happy you posted though, but thanks for taking the symbol off. 💜💜💜 Your work is amazing!

Jennifer Clouston has a YT channel, as well. I have a couple of her books.
I just put her YT link in the description box along with a link to a Dot Gallery I just started! 💜 It was one of those days, behind all day! LOL
I need -- a wife. To clean up after me…and my art work.
