      @kathyharmon2093 it is not so simple that a 10 year old can do it correctly..it's not just about applying the wraps. The skin integrity needs checked as well as circulation..Pimple Popper is doing this lady a disservice..this woman must have Medicare due to her age..so therefore she would qualify for home nursing..100 paid..due to the fact it is hard for her to leave her home..or Pimple Popper could also refer the lady to a wound care center that could change the wraps on a weekly basis..the woman also needs seen by a vascular doctor..the outward signs are significant to what is going on in the inside of this woman's body and needs treated by a medical professional on a regular basis ...you don't know what the heck you're talking about ..and Pimple Popper should absolutely be referring her to Healthcare professionals that can treat this wonan..not a maybe I will check on you..and as for her son applying the wraps..not everyone is cut out to do a nurses job...hence that's why we have them instead of family members or friends to perform techniques as such..take a seat

    Doctor Lee is an example to be followed by all health professionals in the United States, where we often see that people become doctors for status and not out of appreciation for other lives. Having followed her for years before she even had her own show on TLC, she has always shown a genuine interest in helping people and that gives me a little more faith in humanity. If only all people in her field were like her.

      I have been doing this for my wife for 4 years now. The zinxc wraps with compression make her legs feel so much better, lymphatic fluid with ulcers and cellulitis is terrible and very painful. I put her on a carnivore diet ( we both eat the samething everyday) and she has lost 80+ pounds and the fluid has almost subsided completely and very rarely has to wear the unna boot anymore. But she loves wearing them because it provides so much relief.
      My condolences to you and I am sure it was worth every second of taking care of him.

      @@leekoss7083 She explains it in the video. It is like a "soft" thin cast with cotton and elastic wrap over. It is meant to go from the fore foot up to the knee to give gentle compression and prevent swelling. The person that put it on me (for swelling and to help the stitches stay put), just put it in the area of the incision. I swelled all around it and it was painful.

    A mom will take care of a son for decades, but a son won't take care of his mom for a few weeks. This is why I scoff when people say "if you don't have kids, who will take care of you in your old age?"- unless you have a daughter, no one is going to take care of you.

    • @trevellyann
      @trevellyann 22 วันที่ผ่านมา +13

      Daughters are not a guarantee. Don't count on your children for your elder age care. People with children & grandchildren end up alone in the same nursing homes childless people do - except the people with families get the extra sting because once they're in a nursing facility, the vast majority are completely ignored -- rarely called, rarely (or never) visited.

Me and my brother have been taking care of my dad for years now his legs look even worse than the womens in the video. Caring for your parents really sucks the life out of you especially if they are ungrateful and start fighting due to old people frustrations. They just take it out on the next available person which is the home health aides and the grown children that take care of them. I have not have decent sleep in 11 months now every night he needs his legs lifted and turned to avoid bedsores I developed tendonitis in my shoulders due to constant lifting and nonstop nerve impingement in my back. I am a 5.7 ft person lifting a 300 pound man this is no joke.

I did legs, arms for Lemphodems, etc. to assit circulation. Many times family members are not interested in learning to apply then to help. I have given many, many inservices at long term care facilities teaching nurses how to apply elastic bandages to legs for circulation. This seems to work better than Ted Hose which residents do not like to wear and many times do not fit correctly.

    Stasis dermatitis due to venous insufficiency is often misdiagnosed as cellulitis. A sedentary lifestyle and other factors can cause veins in the legs to die and blood does not get up to the heart. The blood needs to circulate back up to the heart. Compression socks of 20/30 compression or higher can help if it hasn't progressed to the stage shown in the video.

    I cared for my Great Grandma until she passed away. She raised me like my Mom should have and took care of me most of my life and I returned the favor as an adult. I wore gloves and a mask. I changed diapers and wiped her and everything else she needed. This dude not wanting to apply lotion like medication and use a wrap makes me mad for Sandra. She's so used to making excuses for him; you could tell by her reaction. Maybe the son is special needs, but if that is the case she needs someone else helping her. Plus the poor doggy is obese and needs someone to take for him too.
